Bought a new truck camper and it has been nothing but trouble!.. The day after bringing it home it rained and the front window leaked and water was everywhere… Called Wagner’s Outdoor Express (Dealer) and they told me to bring it back, but it was 756 miles round trip.. Dealer gave me the ok to fix the problem myself and the seal all around the window had gaps that you could stick a pencil through on the inside and see it on the outside.. Bought a tube of windshield caulk and used the whole tube on the inside, they didn’t put enough on at the factory and never did a pressure test…I sent Palomino an email and this nut tried to talk down on me until I let him have it and the dealer told me to quit sending him emails and he would argue with me... Got past that problem and one of the heads on the electric jacks had water coming out the bottom.. I took the top off and it was rusted and full of water.. Dealer sent me a new one.. First time out camping and water leaking in the floor.. Looked around the pump and a waterline fitting was loose.. The next day the awning came loose from the side of the camper because they didn’t put the self tapping screws in the camper frame, they just screwed them in the fiberglass.(lol).. Camper came with a 12-volt TV but the screen went black in 3 days.. I know some campers black water tanks are made to hold a little water after dumping, but not so much that it shows 3/4 full after dumping.. Put a snake camera down after vacuuming it dry with an old shop vacuum and the pipe that drains from the tank is too high… I’m sure I’ll have a lot more problems too! Palomino is the worst campers and I would never buy one again.. I don’t recommend Palomino to anyone and I hope they go out of business!… The warranty is a joke just like the whole company.. Bought A Lance Camper brand new , took it out once to discover all the problems with it. The workmanship and quality control from Lance is horrible! It’s all warranty, however it’s been at the dealer for a month, long story short I bought a brand new camper that was not usable they took my money and sent me out with a POS .So here I sit with no camper waiting for them to fix their problems I’ll never buy another Lance ever again. Screw me once, shame on you. Screw me twice shame on me. Show less

We have owned this camper for 4 years. Love the floor plan and the head room above the bed. These are very well built campers, but there were a few problems that were taken care of under the 1 year warranty. We then had a crack start forming in the fiberglass at year 2 and worked with the dealer to get this covered under warranty as the camper has a 6 year structural warranty. It was interesting that the manufacture 1st denied to cover the repair as they did not warranty the fiberglass. After some back and forth they agreed to provide the materials and the dealer would perform the repair. It didn’t make it home from the dealer before it cracked again. They then shipped it back to Canada for repair at the factory and it has been trouble free since. I was impressed with way Northern Lite stood behind their product. I highly recommend their products. One of the standout features of the 1973 Fiberglass Alaskan Camper is its lightweight and aerodynamic design. The versatile sleeping arrangements are a huge plus, offering the option of either a full-size bed or two twin beds, depending on your needs. Another aspect I appreciate is the blend of vintage charm and modern upgrades. The original amenities, like the stainless steel sink and 3-burner stove, have been well-preserved, while custom enhancements like the new wood floors, solar panels, and propane heater have made camping more comfortable and efficient. Despite all its positives, there are a few aspects of the 1973 Fiberglass Alaskan Camper that we found challenging. The limited storage space inside the camper can be frustrating, especially on longer trips. While the camper’s compact size is great for maneuverability, it also requires strategic packing. To address this, we built a platform on the roof of our truck, which made packing extra items for long trips much easier. Surprisingly, this camper was built so well that we've had minimal repairs. We did fix the hydraulic hand pump system, but it rarely needs maintenance. The mechanical nature of the camper, without modern electronics, means fewer complications and no constant need for upgrades. A notable downside is the lack of a built-in restroom. However, with the variety of portable toilet options available today, this hasn’t been a major issue for us. These portable solutions are convenient and easy to use, maintaining comfort even without a dedicated restroom in the camper. There is a designated spot for a restroom if you wish to add one. Lastly, while the camper is excellent for off-road adventures, its vintage nature means it doesn’t have some of the modern conveniences that newer campers offer, such as built-in entertainment systems or advanced climate control. It’s definitely a trade-off between classic charm and modern comfort. The 1973 Fiberglass Alaskan Camper is a unique and reliable option for those who appreciate well-made vintage designs. It’s a fantastic choice for off-road enthusiasts and anyone who values maneuverability and style in their camping setup. Despite a few quirks and challenges, it’s been a great companion on our adventures. Show less

We love our camper with the professional install on our truck and the many extras the Colorado dealership did for us. This was the lightest self-contained camper on the market at the time. Our camper on our 2012 Tundra is at the maximum axle rating for our vehicle according to the dealership we bought it from, but way over the suggested bed weight. So with air shocks and heavy duty tires we were told it would be safe. We have had zero problems with the weight with over 80,000 miles of enjoying road trips all over the USA. Warranty with the company has been lacking from day 1. After about a month of ownership I noticed de-lamination on the exterior siding. The factory rep shrugged it off by saying “It was like that when you bought it”. There are more spots now after 11 years. My main complaint is the need to re-caulk the seams every 2 years, as the contraction and expansion splits the seals. Secondly the rear tie-down points are a bad location, as they actually pull the corner down and create the bottom metal seal to drop down and the siding pops out, creating a water leak. We have removed our back jacks and use the sturdy corner brackets as the anchor points for the tie-downs. We leave the front jacks on to be lowered, and keep the camper from rocking when moving around inside while camping. Show less

Beautiful RV with a lot of floor space for our big dogs. Loved the arched roof and the 4 season capability. The layout was designed by someone who had spent a lot of time camping as it is very livable. A boondocking dream. The camper is very heavy we used a 1 ton dually to handle the load. Extra equipment is needed on the truck to manage the sway on uneven or crowned roads. Loved the big 2 way fridge and all of the electrical and power stations. The Onan generator is loud and some newer models have replaced with a quieter model. Show less

I bought this camper from a friend who bought it new. My wife has decided that she doesn't like camping. Sadly, I have to sell it. I am going to miss it. It is completely self-contained and ready to go. I have slept in it comfortably at 20 degrees. It holds enough battery and propane to run the furnace all night in these conditions with plenty of propane left over and the battery only half gone. It is fully functional and ready to go with dishes, pots and pans, bedding, etc. It does require a full 8ft. truck bed. It requires a 3/4 ton or better pickup. We used the window in front to connect with the back window in the pickup. We have a crew cab pickup, so our three dogs could come and go through the window, making it possible for them to sleep in the cab of the truck. Big advantages, no registration in my state, no tires to wear out. Goes anywhere the truck will go. Fully functional on the road. Access to bathroom, kitchen, etc without any slideouts to get in the way. You will have lots of fun in this camper. Show less

Beautiful camper at first then it just started to fall apart headliners fabric failed Jack's failed wood cabinets started to fail apart skylight leaked and damaged the interior they have taken over 6 months to send out repair materials. Sealant dripping off camper window shades wrapping in the hot weather. And the list goes on. Show less

Bought this unit new. Price was a major consideration. The unit is very well optioned with quality appliances with all of the bells and whistles. Switches and controls are placed in awkard places. The toilet in the shower stall looks nice, but is not the most efficient use of this space. The jacks worked loose when the unit was two years old having pulled the mounting bolts out of the wood structure. I removed the jacks, installed aluminum backing plates, reinstalled the jacks using 3M 5200 marine sealer, and it's secure to this day. Never seen any evidence of water leaks, however I reseal annually. Unit looks new at 8 years old, however it's stored in a garage when not in use. Very comfortable! We upgraded the mattress. This thing is heavy, so a dually is needed! Not the best camper for winter use, as the insulation is not great. The AC unit, electric heat strip, or gas furnance are well capable of keeping it comfortable in hot or cold weather. The actual structure of the unit is very sturdy. We would buy this again as we enjoy traveling in it. I traded a very old Lance 10.10 in on it because the Lance leaked around the front window causing a lot of damage. The TL has a front fiberglass cap preventing any chance of a leak in that area. . Show less

The rayzr FK is a nice non over the cab truck camper that is light and will fit any full size 1/2 ton pick up truck. It is insulation and works great in cold weather. Has every thing you need in a truck camper. It is easy to load and unload even with manual jacks. Very roomy inside with plenty of head room. Have owned it for 2 years with no problems. Show less
