This unit meets and exceeds most RV camping expectations; it's very comfortable and super easy to drive through on highways and through neighborhoods. Great for all type of road trips as well as a very secure emergency shelter during power outages from hurricanes or other major weather events. Truly more of a "glamping" experience for many adventures including an add on accommodations for visitors at your home.

This is one of the best floor plans for how we RV. Literally everything is accessible while traveling. No need to put the slide out for an overnight stop. Amazing storage- this is due to no bed slide or outdoor kitchen (my preference).we can store our eBikes and tones of other gear in the rear storage. For a class C it has tons of storage bays. My 18 year old says that the bunk over cab is very comfortable for sleeping. We added a 1” eggshell style pad to help with seams. So much interior storage! My one negative here is the wasted space with the wire shelf pull out “pantry” total piece of junk. There is no perfect RV. You will always need modifications /personalizations. Other than that we are very happy with our purchase.

Downsized from a 36' Diesel Pusher. We were looking for something smaller more easy to maneuver. The Freedom Traveller is a Basic unit. I had heard so many bad things about Thor RV's that I went over it with a fine tooth comb looking for issues to nix the sale but I could not find anything. There are maintenance issues which FORD should fix on any F53 Chassis based RV - like how you add and check the oil, - how you check and add brake fluid, the location and varied types of fuses used . There were things that could have been done more like a Class A and less like a tow behind - like a centralized water bay and locating the fresh water tank fill on the same side of the RV as the city water connection. After driving 3000 miles I am happy with it.

We did upgrade something’s to it being a 2003 Showhauler was very helpful and had the build specs of the rig still and we replaced it with the updated product of the same brand. We purchased and built a 2024 and it has not had any issues with any part so far. It had a bad door handle on it I was up by Indiana and swing by and they switched it out. It’s a family owned company and very friendly. This is not your ordinary big build company. You pick everything you want. But it will last over 20 years which you don’t see the other brands lasting that long. Pay once, cry once :)

Bought this MB24 with 4000 miles on it… like new from elderly couple. Nice layout, quality of appliances and materials very good to good. Manufacturing workmanship horrible. I’m a retire automotive engineer 42 years working on design and quality issues on cars and truck globally… if we had built our vehicles like this we’d be out of business in a couple years… but this is the norm in the RV industry. I spent about a week going through the entire motorhome from under the chassis to under cabinets, slide out errors, pinched wires, missing rubber seals, missing screws, loose wood braces, missing caulking in bathroom shower, etc, etc. Fortunately I know about vehicles and I like all my vehicles in tip top shape so I’ve done this to every RV we’ve owned over the last 40 years… and this is why I know MOST of them are poorly built… regardless of brand. BUT they’re so handy and so much fun you have to have one! This Mercedes diesel is smooth, powerful, and quiet. The Audi system is terrible and wind noise of the Thor design (shoulders outside of driver and passenger doors) makes it very noisy inside. Domestic A/C unit works great to cool down the cabin but VERY NOISY and has a droning vibration that I haven’t figured out how to fix. I will likely never take this motorhome to the dealer since they usually come back more broke than fixed… just ask around to hear all the horror stories. Very nice interior design… TONS of storage for a small Class C that measure 25’ 8” tip to tail. You think build quality would be better for a unit that retails at $175,000! 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️ But it’s all fixed up now and ready for some long trips so we’re hoping it will hold up for years. 🙏🏼🤞🏼

Overall happy with the Thor Axis 24.1 and think the floor plan is excellent. One improvement is to rethink the bathroom in order to enlarge the shower stall. I have had very few issues with the RV and only one warranty repair which was covered and easily repaired. Anytime I have called Thor technical support I have received excellent service and advice. The suspension and drivability is not very good. Thor should consider beefing up the shocks, leaf springs and adding a steering bar. Yea, this would add cost, so make it optional, but doing these upgrades afterwards is more costly and time consuming..

Everything works and it runs well, much heavier than the HR which makes it actually easier to drive on long trips. Only negative is the 8.7 mpg i get while pulling my 24' Canyon. The bath and half and other features are outstanding. The 360 HP does the rockies well too. I think REV does very quality builds. The Bridge frame is amazing too.

If you're looking for an RV for 2-3 people that's comfortable, easy to drive and maneuver and has all of the amenities this is it. And if you can find the XL version, you'll get even more storage space. This RV has everything: Full kitchen with a real refrigerator, micro/convection oven that also broils, and lots of cabinet space. The bathroom is pretty standard size for this kind of RV with a sink, toilet and shower. The bathroom doors have an extra position that provides more space (vs when traveling) and still full privacy. The sofa converts to a queen-size bed and is more comfortable than some other "mushy" RV beds. It can also serve as 2 twin beds. The Mercedes chassis drives closer to a large car or pickup than a truck chassis. Handles well. Great in parking lots. There is a version of the RT CS Adventurous that has lithium batteries and an under-hood generator (run by the chassis engine) instead of a noisy gas or propane generator. The setup works very well.

**BEWARE OF THE PLEASANT WAY ITS NOT ALL THE HYPE!!** My experience with La Mesa RV in Davie as a single woman new to the RV Lifestyle has been nothing short of a nightmare and a complete disappointment, especially for the 2024 Mercedes Pleasant Way Plateau that I paid over $175,000 for! From the moment I purchased the RV in September 2024, the issues started piling up. On the drive home from taking delivery, the check engine light came on. When I called the next day, Blake, the salesman, minimized my concerns and brushed it off as “not a big deal,” suggesting I take it to Mercedes myself to get it fixed. What reputable dealership lets a customer drive off the lot with a check engine light on and then tells them to deal with it on their own? They also failed to give me all of the keys at the time of delivery. I was fortunate to figure this out prior to taking it out of town otherwise I would’ve been hundreds of miles away from home, unable to access certain areas of the RV. When I took it to Mercedes-Benz of Coconut Creek, I was told they were unaware of any pre-existing check engine light issues, and due to a shortage of lifts for Sprinter vans, it would take 5-7 days just to look at it. I was forced to reach back out to La Mesa RV, who had no problem inconveniencing me further by having me drop it off at their Davie location and Uber back home numerous times. They took the RV to Mercedes in Miami, where it stayed for several days. After getting it back, La Mesa assured me everything was taken care of, but within an hour of driving, the check engine light was on AGAIN!! I was already headed out of town for a camping trip. This time, Joseph Jaure from La Mesa had to pick up the RV from my home when I returned and bring it back to Mercedes of Miami, where it sat for another five days before being returned to me. Only now, within an hour of driving out of town for another camping trip, the air conditioning and internal appliances stopped working. I had to pull over on the side of the highway and call Pleasant Way, who informed me that I needed to reset the inverter by shutting down the entire unit, including the engine. It was an extremely hot day, and I had friends and my dog in the RV. That was the first of three times that day the inverter/charger failed. Later, Pleasant Way casually mentioned they were aware of this issue and that it required a software update only a technician could perform. They knew this could happen, yet did nothing to ensure the updates were applied before delivery. This left my friend and I stranded to figure out other accommodations on our camping trip. In the course of owning this brand new 2024 Mercedes Pleasant Way Plateau for just five weeks, it has been in the shop for three of them for various repairs and system updates. Meanwhile, I’m stuck paying monthly payments for a defective RV along with storage fees. It’s clear that La Mesa RV got their money and could care less about the consumer. They assured me they would fix the problems and communicate clearly, but they have failed miserably on both fronts. I’ve given them ample opportunity to rectify the situation, even requesting a replacement, but I’ve lost all confidence in La Mesa RV, Mercedes, and Pleasant Way. La Mesa’s customer service is beyond appalling. I’ve had to reach out to Channel 7’s "Help Me Howard" just to get attention on this issue. Beyond the initial $175,000 purchase price, the loss of usage is infuriating, and the company refuses to offer any meaningful compensation or solution. La Mesa RV is only interested in getting RV’s over the curb…. and getting their money, once they do they will leave you high and dry the moment issues arise. Do yourself a favor and avoid this dealership at all costs!!
