Baydo’s RV has a solid foundation based out of Southwest Washington. Our family began serving the Puget Sound region in 1937 in the car business. George R. Baydo founded BAYDO’S WAGONVILLE selling new cars. His strong belief in customer service and family values was a “new idea” at the time; but remains something we hold strong to till this very day.

We bought our first Jayco RV in 2016. It was a White Hawk and we really enjoyed it, never had any large issues with it. For a midrange trailer it suited us well. When we retired, we decided to sell our home and travel in a fifth wheel, unfortunately it was the beginning of Covid, and no one really had anything we wanted until I just happened to see Baydo’s RV in Chehalis WA had a North Point. We made the 3-hour drive from my daughter’s house, where we were now staying. It had almost everything on our list and even some things we didn’t even know were options. It wasn’t exactly what we wanted but sometimes you must compromise. BIG MISTAKE!!! Both buying a Jayco and buying from Baydo’s. First off when we picked it up, we went straight to a park for a week. The first thing we noticed was that the oven didn’t work even though it had worked just hours before at the dealership. Then after a few days I noticed a spot on the ceiling was starting to bulge from water getting in. I went right back and pointed out the issues, they set up a service appointment a few weeks off. I took it in for the appointment with a list of other things that needed to be fixed, and within a week I was informed that it was ready. I went to pick it up and they told me that a stick must have damaged the roof and Jayco would not fix it. I was also told the oven was fixed. Before I left the lot, I opened the unit and found that the oven was not fixed. I went in to talk to Brandy the service manager, who was very short with me, and asked her to come out and look at the unit. She came out glanced at it and said that she would order the part. I told her that we were leaving for a few months and when were expecting to be back, she said that wouldn’t be a problem. Well believe it or not we got back with a whole new list of issues including the one I will be going into detail over later. I made another service appointment and towed it 3 more hours to the shop. I spoke to the assistant service manager, and he assured me that everything would be taken care of. Then another 3-hour trip over the mountains to pick it up. Nothing was fixed, they had to order parts. I asked about the oven again and apparently this was the first time Brandy had heard anything about it. So she tells me that they stopped putting those ovens in Jayco’s and that she would order a new one. It took over 18 months to finally get an oven that worked! I had my 2022 Jayco North Point for only a few months, and we were working our way from Washington state to Ohio for a wedding. The trip was going well, until one morning while we were packing up to move. I was walking around the RV using the Jayco app on my phone to close the slides. When I started to retract the #4 slide, I noticed that one side of it had stopped moving. I walked back to that side and saw that somehow the door had gotten jammed in the slide. Now I was a bit baffled since the door has a gas strut that keeps it from opening too far. I reopened the slide and saw that the door strut was no longer attached to the door and was hanging down off the side of the RV. I found one screw on the ground but was not able to locate the other 2 screws that were meant to hold it into place. While attempting to close the door I found that I had to bend the hinges just for it to secure. I then closed the slide and found that the side that had contacted the door would not go all the way in but it appeared to be secure enough to travel so we continued our trip. When we returned to Washington, I took the RV into Baydo’s RV sales where I purchased the unit. They took down all the information and submitted it to Jayco. A few months later they had me come back in to have the repairs done. When I was told they were done I went in and did a walkthrough. I saw that the door had been fixed but the slide had not been touched. I was informed that Jayco was claiming that there was no way that the door had caused the damage to the slide and had denied the claim to fix it. They then went on to say that due to a jack on the other side of the RV being bent that the frame was flexed and this was the cause of the slide damage. I took the RV into a frame shop to get it checked out and was told that the frame was not flexed and that even if it had been it would not have caused the damage to the slide on the other side. The frame shop also adjusted the axels that where off by more the ¼ inch each causing uneven wear on my tires. I spent about 18 months going back and forth to Baydo’s. They only fixed a few of the dozens of things I took it in for, always claiming they were having problems getting parts or waiting authorization. I finally found a Jayco dealer closer to where we are now based, Canopy Country RV sales in Yakima WA. I took the RV in there and they said they would check on the status of all the work that still had not been done and that they would try and resubmit the claim on the slide. After a month I got my answer. The claim is denied but
