Had great experiences with this travel trailer. Great floorplan for a family, convenient garage for many uses, on board generator makes all the difference. Simply and straightforward operation, making maintenance a breeze. Slide outs made the living space very comfortable and spacious. Center kitchen island makes good prep more enjoyable. Four season construction with the garage makes it a great camper for hunters.

Bought this in Tucson AZ in 2018 as new, dealership did all the trailer hitch install filled water tanks (150 gallons) and sent me on my way. I live in New Mexico and when I got home went to drain the water tank's, but NO DRAIN WAS EVER INSTALLED!!! Had to do that myself since I was not driving 300 miles to go back. Next was no drawers for silverware so had to build those myself. No lighting inside pantry storage areas, again had to do that, now latest issue is a leak on the hot water line to the tub. Water lines run between the tub and outside wall, so its either totally take out the tub/shower and glass doors or try to re-route the water lines to the other side of the tub. Overall experience with this unit/company - I will NEVER AGAIN BUY ONE OF THEIR TRAILERS!!!!!

The 2016 176s is the best design of a smaller RV ever. We bought every item available in the top of the line package except the TV. The front of the camper kitchen and the dining room"booth" slide out made this a spacious and comfortable camper for us. We have the Amish temperpedic mattress -- so spoiled! The only complaint were the tires. We used the factory tires for one year and bought Goodyear tires. Rosie the Retro traveled beautifully. I have heard that from covid 2020 on, the manufacturing was not as solid. But we have had no problems at all!

It’s perfect for a couple, but the sofa folds out to a bed and the dinette makes a small bed if you have company. The bathroom and shower are a nice size for a small RV. It’s easy to hook up and go for a weekend but we’ve also stayed for a couple of weeks comfortably.

We’ve had our trailer for 5 years now. We are moving in to a 5th wheel trailer as the kids have grown up. This bunk bed floor plan has been perfect for the 7 of us to take on many 🏖️ beach and camping ⛺️ trips comfortably. It pulls down the road nicely. It has TONS of storage area, a high porcelain toilet, privacy queen bed room and 2 doors! The blue indoor/ outdoor lighting was always fun too. It really is a good trailer for the family vacations and would definitely be livable in a park setting as well! I would recommend this trailer!

I loved this trailer! Although I'm a vintage guy and love things with style and character. But this is even better, style and vintage character, but its new! a Reissue, not a copy. Made by Shasta, based on the original plans. The propane oven is now a microwave, and the propane lamp over the dining table is now a bulb and the other lights are LED, but not too many other changes. An old couple walked by and looked, and said they used to won one and the only way they could tell it was not an original was the rooftop air vent was plastic instead of aluminum! I have memories of being a kid and this is just what I was looking for. When I go out all the other RV's all look the same, in fact near my site there were 2 that actually were the same as each other and every other RV had the same graphics. So boring! I was told, (and its true) "prepare to make friends as a lot of people will stop by your site and want to say hello and ask about your Shasta!" Shasta only made 1941 of these and there will be no more. So while the price will dip for a few years, these will always be in demand as opposed to the standard indistinguishable RV's that all look the same and once they get old nobody will ever want to keep them.

We have owned our 2016 Forest River R-Pod 179 for two years now and absolutely love it. I really appreciate the style and layout inside. It feels modern and there’s plenty of cabinet space. I especially love that it is light weight and we can tow it with our Nissan Xterra Pro4X. I also appreciate that this model was made pre-Covid and it has the highest quality standards. Everything works and it has held together well Another bonus is that there is such a huge following of R-Pod lovers that we have been able to be part of a Facebook community where we have learned all kinds of tips and tricks about R-Pods and traveling safe and keeping it up-to-date. They even have rallies and meet ups all across the country.

To the point where I can't even sleep when it's raining outside because I'm getting up looking for leaks. As it sits we have had over a dozen leaks in this trailer and major water damage because if it. If I could go back in time and buy anything else I would. Don't waste your money on grand design!!!
