We had every intention of buying an RV with Wilkens. Our salesman Joe said all the right things, and said they wanted to make a deal to get rid of some 2021 trailers. We visited twice and were at the first stage of negotiating on a trailer. I gave them a price which was low but not unrealistic and Joe went to talk to the Desk "manager". Then came back stating the manager needed me to show him my credit card to show I was serious. Why would I waste time looking at trailers on my Saturdays if I wasnt serious. Red flags went up at that point. When i said we hadnt came to an agreement yet, he said they needed to see my cc card first and they wouldnt run it yet. I told him i was not ok with that and we left. After reading other reviews it seems like this is a process other dealers use as well. It shows up on your credit report and affects your credit score which is fine if we had a deal and i wanted to finance, but before we even had a deal. If this is a normal practice then my business will go elsewhere.
