You can not trust Tom Johnson Sales. While under warranty we found signs of Powder Post Beetles in our camper. We called to get help with the problem. It took 2 weeks to get an appointment just for them to look at the problem. They agreed right away to fix it but it is now 3 months later. The warranty is from Forest River and Johnson's can do nothing to fix the problem until Forest River gives them a work order. Forest river would not do anything. I filed a complaint with the NCDOJ. They sent an email to Forset River and they agreed to fix it. The problem is they would not file the work order. I was ignored. Finally, I received notice that the work order was received by Tom Johnson but the repair offered was not a fair offer, they would not do a complete repair just a bandaid. I could have the problem taken care of again if the beetles returned. Well If you read about these beetles the only way to be possibly rid of them is to completely fumigate the camper. I have a lung condition that is serious. I only have one lung left after 2 surgeries. I said they must use the heat method to kill the powder post beetles because I can not live in a contaminated camper. Tom Johnson was then immediately given a work order to spray the camper with Bora-care. I already told them not to do that but they did it. Now my camper is not just infested with beetles it is contaminated with chemicals. The warranty says repair or replace. It is time to replace my camper. Forest River refuses to do that. It is now 3 months since I filed a warranty complaint. I had to cancel this year's camping plans. If you wonder where the Powder Post Beetles came from, the wood that is used to build the camper is not treated properly. They are already in the camper when you buy it. This problem also affecting new furniture, new wood floors, and new cabinets. The beetles can take from 6 months to 5 years to come out of the wood. Have you seen what looks like sawdust in your home or camper? Only once have I read that the homeowners won a lawsuit for powder post beetles in cabinets. The settlement was huge and it took over two years.

We have been customers of this dealership for 20 years purchasing 6 units with same salesman, Greg Helms. Greg is knowledgeable, charming, available when you need him and honest as the day is long. When we first worked w him the dealership was owned by Tom Johnson and was the best dealership you could ask for w a service department that was the best possible. When Tom retired and Camping World took over that reputation went in the toilet as, one after another, the old employees left. We stayed because Greg, close to retirement, stayed. Our one exception to our criticisms has been Chris Stubbs who has tried valiantly to take care of our servicing needs inspire of interference from Camping World management. If we could change, we would but are struggling to resolve issue w. Newmar we bought DURING transition from Mr Johnson and Camping World.

I was recently in the area on vacation. my family and I have been talking about getting a camper getting a camper for a while now. We decided to stop into camping world in Marion to take a look at their selection. We talked with Stephen in sales. He was very helpful and answered all of our questions, he was very courteous and spoke with such good manners. We have decided to wait on purchasing a camper, but when we do we will definitely call Stephen.
