The Thompson family has been in the auto and RV business since the 1950s. Thompson Bros. opened in 1952 selling Hudson and Nash automobiles. The gradual shift from autos to RVs began in the 60's when Sid Thompson became the local dealer for Aloha travel trailers. This was a natural fit for the family, as they spent most of their leisure time camping and picnicking in the mountains of Eastern Oregon. As Sid retired in 1973 Bob Thompson took up the tradition with a used car lot on Southgate Ave. In 1976, along with his new wife Carolyn, Bob added six Nomad trailers to the car business. Eventually the trailer business took center stage with the addition of the locally built Prowler line of trailers and fifth wheels. The latest change in the business occurred with the move to the present location and the addition of a 16,000 square foot showroom and office at 1201 Southgate Ave. As we enter the 21st century, the next generation, Burton and Corrin begin to take over a larger portion of the day to day operations. Today Thompson RV is one of the largest RV dealers in Eastern Oregon carrying the Arctic Fox, Desert Fox and Nash lines from Northwood, Hideout, Sprinter, and Montana by Keystone. We are excited to announce we will also be carrying the all new Creekside, Wind River, Tamarack Trail, and Timber Ridge by Outdoors RV!

The RV was billed, paid, and "services complete" after two full business days in their service department. There were two main issues to be addressed and a summary service. The plumbing issue involved a pipe leak behind the toilet. The thermostat and cooling/fan issue was stated as fixed. After pickup, the issues persisted. Upon our first hookup on vacation, the leak behind the toilet immediately flooded the bathroom. The AC would not operate for more than 3 mins before the breaker would switch off at three different RV Park, 30 amp hookups... The service was completely dishonest, and the customer service one of the worst experienced. Caroline Thompson was extremely rude and unwilling to reasonably work with us to repair the issues that were already claimed to be repaired. She claimed they were rushed... not an excuse for dishonest service. I am writing this review as a warning to others Don't expect to get quality service, nor honest business here. This is a BBB level issue. We walked away and are currently paying to have these repairs actually repaired elsewhere.
