My mom and dad, James and Roberta Turner, senior citizens, bought a brand new Airstream Bambi from Southland RV in Norcross last year, and it has been nothing but trouble. Before they even used it, they noticed that the shower door did not fit correctly. They called them, and it took forever for someone to come out and fix it.
Then, they'd only used it a couple of times when they got a notice about a recall regarding the stove, something about it catching on fire. Well, my elderly parents panicked. They called them to come once again and fix it, but someone told them it would be July before someone could come out! They already had several camping trips planned and paid for, and now they have to cancel the trips (without a refund).
They are too old and can not drive to Norcross in a big city to bring their camper all the way back to be fixed (I hauled it home for them).
Now, they are SO frustrated and just want to return their camper and get their money back. It should still be under warranty. It just breaks my heart for them...
They need someone to come & get it & bring them a check. They have reached out, but they just got the runaround. I am very disappointed that they would treat an Army vet and the daughter of a vet like this.
Ironically, when I first researched this company, the founders said they took pride in customer satisfaction, and they'd do whatever it takes to make sure their customers were happy with the Airstream. It doesn't seem like the case now.
My mom and dad always loved camping. After COVID, they just stayed home until they decided to spend their life savings on an Airstream so they could at least get out again and enjoy nature. Now, they can't go on vacation again for fear of their stove catching on fire....
Southland needs to call them, come get the camper, and give them a refund.
