Scott's Recreation was founded in Manchester, Maine by Scott Lanpher in 1994 as a used power sports dealership. In 2006, Scott's Recreation expanded into a brand new 5,000 square foot showroom on Rt. 202 in Manchester, just over the Augusta City line. The expansion came about as a result of Scott looking for a new RV for his family. When he found that he needed to travel a great distance to get a competitive price, he thought there was an opportunity to take on selected lines of RV's and offer great pricing to the local customers. In 2011, Scott purchased buildings and property on RT 4 in Turner, Maine and opened another Rv Center. Our 3rd location is on RT 1 in Houlton, Maine. This location is operated at Houlton Power Sports & RV Center. If you have driven by Scott's Recreation lately, you may have noticed that the lot is full of both new and used travel trailers, 5th Wheels and Class C Motor homes. In addition to the new product lines, Scott's Recreation also buys clean late model units from all over the country making sure to offer the absolute best selection of pre-enjoyed RV's in the area.

Scott's Recreation doesn't stand behind their products. We purchased a defective air conditioner for our RV from the Manchester location, and called the same day to report the air conditioner doesn't work. Their response was that it was installed incorrectly (you literally just plug it in) and they don't take returns, effectively telling us "too bad, so sad, call the manufacturer." Sebastian actually said to think of Scott's Recreation like Amazon. I would, except at least Amazon stands behind all their products and will at least refund you if an item is defective. Scott's Recreation is keeping our money. TLDR: Purchased a $1300 air conditioner, received a $1300 fan and Scott's Recreation doesn't care. But they sure like my money that they're keeping.

I would expect this kind of salesmanship behavior from a dealer out of MA or NY. Not from ME. Mainers should expect and receive better. This business ruins the reputation of Maine. Unforgivable stuff happened on my recent purchase: -Staff says "yes" to any question or responds in the affirmative. Zero honesty. Zero Trust. I asked for specific things (e.g. a second battery) and on checkout it wasn't there. -Hustle on the checkout. They make you wait for a long time to get your trailer. While you are spending days of your life waiting to get on with business, they ensure that they will make you wait even longer if you want changes to your coverage. -I did not want GAP coverage nor did I want "chemical" coverage. The finance person told me it was part of the extended warranty then charges me $2 grand for it when I go to pick up. See above. Upon signature it would take a "long" time to amend my sales contract. **Do not buy from this dealership**

Excellent prices. We have purchased several work trailer and a new dock from Scott’s . Purchased a new camper this summer and hands down the worst service ever . Radio and TV’s did not work , zero help from Scott’s . Front glass was broken at time of purchase and we have yet to see it several months later . So disappointed with Manchester . When we trade in two years it will not be there !

Worst mistake dealing with this company. They might be able to sell cargo trailers but the customer service was definitely lacking when it comes to the RV world. Customer service was lacking and some times non existent from sales, service, and even the owner himself was very confrontational, unprofessional, childish, belittling people and down right being nasty. He even went as far as wanting to fight me. He went out of his way to even make it harder for myself to resolve warranty issues. The manufacturer of the RV has been very helpful in finding a new dealership to bring my RV to for warranty work. I would advise to proceed with caution when dealing with them.
