Since getting our camper home three days ago, weāve noticed several small issues that, while minor individually, are pretty upsetting collectively.
In fact, at this point I almost feel like we bought a used camper.
I spoke with the service manager about several of the issues already, but it seems like we are discovering something new every day.
Iām attaching pictures of the things weāve found so far, and hope that there may be something that can be done.
This broken HDMI cable was discovered when I first tried to turn the TV on. Clearly someone pulled the TV away from the wall at some point when the cable was connected. I wouldnāt make a big deal out of this but I have no idea how to replace it since the other end of it disappears into a cabinet above the TV that isnāt accessible.

Next I noticed the rubber seal for the right side wall of the bump out somehow became detached from the track it sits in and got drug under the seat. I was able to fix that myself but I donāt know why something like that would happen?

The next thing I noticed today were a few problems with the doors. There is a latch on the main door that engages the screen door to keep them together when the main door is opened. The latch is loose because the screws keeping it in place are stripped out. This makes opening the main door difficult because that latch is supposed to prevent the screen door latch from engaging when the doors are together. Because itās loose, it engages the screen door but doesnāt prevent its latch from engaging, making the front door very difficult to open. While I was looking at that, I noticed that there are already tears in the screen door screen. Weāve had this since Tuesday and nobody else has been in it but my wife and I.

I have to be honest here, I was a little disappointed when we picked the camper up due to the condition it was in. the exterior was dirty and the interior hadnāt even been swept out. At the first dealership we visited we saw how the staff detailed each camper sold before delivery and thought that was kind of a standard thing to do. It looks like no effort was made to tidy things up inside before we took possession of it other than putting all of the component brochures into a bag with a zipper.
Then there was a mix-up with the actual camper we took home. It was not the one we bought. The dealership called 2 days after we brought it home to say they needed to send a new bill of sale with a corrected VIN number because they sent us home with the wrong camper. They said it was their mix-up but that the one we have was identical to the one we actually put money down on. That the switch might have been an honest mistake, but maybe not? I have to take their word for them being āidenticalā campers, but at this point I could almost guarantee they werenāt in āidenticalā condition based on all of the things we've discovered. Iāve bought much cleaner used cars.
I generally hate to complain but Iāve worked hard and saved a long time to buy something like this and while this may not have been one of their more noteworthy transactions, it's still the biggest cashiers check I've ever drafted. So yes, I am a little sad and disillusioned about where things stand and I fear we are only going to continue to discover more issues as we go beyond week one.
Iām not really sure what can be done at this point, but I contacted the dealership to let them know of out issues and they have not been proactive in responding. I spent a lot of money on this camper and feel like a sucker for not inspecting things more carefully when we took possession of it. It's a 4 hour drive and after all the "accessory selling" we just wanted to hit the road.
i have to say I'd stay away from this dealership if you're looking for an RV/camper. The people seem real nice when you talk to them on the phone and what not but they are clearly not in the business of establishing repeat customers. I wish I had a better review to offer.
Hope this helps someone avoid the expensive mistake we've made
Sincerely,
Randall montgomery
