We purchased a new 2021 385 L Paradigm from Ron Hoover in Katy TX. This was our 4th RV and were so excited to get it. However we immediately began having problems with window and several of the slides, sinks, window, and toilets leaking just for starters. The recliners was bent and would not fully extend, the refrigerator kept going out and ruining the food, our black tank was leaking, the door would not make contact well enough to close and we would have to slam and pull hard multiple times to try and get it to close, molding starting coming away from wall. The paneling has visible nail holes We took it to Ron Hoover to get these items fixed and get an estimate on getting a crack in the wall fixed. We purchased a more expensed full time living camper because my husband works 7 hours from home and lives in it while he is at work. We brought the camper to Ron Hoover in Katy and they had it for over 6 months and many of the items they said they fixed are not nor were we able to get an estimate on getting the paneling fixed where it is cracked which was not a warranty issue. We have been extremely disappointed in the quality of this RV compared to the other brands we have purchased and with Ron Hoover's service department.

***Pay attention to warranty/service reviews. They speak to the true nature of a company. Any retailer can put up a façade to make a sale.*** If it were possible, this would be ZERO STARS! Purchased from Ron Hoover because of the Forest River name. Forest River is owned by Berkshire Hathaway. Warren Buffet would be ashamed to know how Ron Hoover handles their service and warranty department. After purchasing a BRAND NEW, albeit one year old RV off the lot; (2018 model purchased in 2019) and putting 1,500 miles on the odometer, we discovered major quality and workmanship issues and filed a claim. To name a few issues: -Leak in the roof over the cab bunk which resulted in rotted wood under the bunk. -Forward slide leaked around the weather seal rotting the floor in the dining room, living room, and kitchen) -Fresh Water tank leaked under the master bed causing black mold and requiring the frame be replaced. -Rear slide weather seal leaked and the bedroom floor needed to be replaced. (To name a few.... Did I mention this was a new RV?) We have now owned our RV for just under 1 year. It has spent 7 months with Ron Hoover's laughable warranty and service department with no light at the end of the tunnel. We have to call repeatedly for updates, no work has been completed to date, and the last we heard, "the parts we need weren't on the supply truck so we can't complete the work." 7 MONTHS!!! In the time our RV has been in for warranty work, the entire 2021 Forrest River has been built. Ron Hoover, an "authorized dealer and service center" doesn't have the ability to repair seals and floors in their own RVs. When we pressed for answers the Warranty Department stated, "Well, you did buy last years model." Let me get this straight; Ron Hoover has such little faith in their product, that if a Brand New RV sits on their lot for 1 year, they expect it to catastrophically fail when driven 1500 miles. If this sounds like your kind of RV and dealership, go right ahead. After several months of nothing happening, we made a trip up to try and speak with someone in person. Must have been our lucky day. We spoke with non other than Chris Hoover who said he would personally ensure the RV was repaired in a timely manner. He's either a typical smoke and mirrors sales person, or has zero control over the company he is CEO of; as two more months have gone by with zero effort made. If you are the type of person that wants to enjoy their RV and receive reasonable service when needed, AVOID RON HOOVER. On the other hand, if you enjoy stubbing your toes on corners, smashing your thumb while hammering nails, or brain freezes while eating ice cream, this may be the RV Dealer of your dreams. I don't normally write reviews, but this has to get out. If you are spending the money for a quality RV, you can do so much better than a Forest River by Ron Hoover.

I had the best experience with purchasing for the first time in November 2019. We have not even gotten to travel anywhere with the RV. However, this brand new 2019 Viking needed repair from the start. The awning had pin holes in it. The service department was great on that. They replaced it. Once we got the RV home and extended the awning, I noticed that the new awning had pin holes in it. We notified Ron Hoover RV Service department right away. We were told to bring it back and they would look at it so they could order the fabric to replace it again. Since covid 19, we hadn't taken it in for this repair until the beginning of June 2020. On top of the awning issue, the vent hood fan never had a screen on it. The bathroom light switch is coming away from the wall. The radio has a switch to were we can have it playing inside only, outside only, or both inside and out. That has NEVER worked. It would only play inside and out. Then the radio quit working all together. No radio! I let them know at the beginning of June 2020 when we dropped it off that we had plans for the beginning of July 2020 and I wanted the repairs complete. They have not done ANY of the repairs. Also, the day we dropped it off, we spoke to the general manager, Ken at the Katy location about trading in the RV on a motorhome. We had other obligations so we had to leave. Ken was supposed to put some numbers together for us and call us back to see if we could make a deal. Still to this day have not heard back from him. I will not use this dealership again nor will I buy another Viking RV. Seems like the sell is the only thing this company is concerned with. Once they got you locked in on a lemon product, they're not worried about fixing it.
