We bought our first camper a year ago from NIck and was a great transaction. Camper was moved to storage for us and all was right in the world....until February when we moved to MIssouri. Seemed like one thing after another was going wrong and no matter what we did Keystone didn't help us. nick tried but 10 hours away is not an easy "in for a repair" situation. We tried to work through things. From trim falling off and jamming the slide out, to lights not working to the table and recliner breaking. Was disappointing for a brand new luxury camper to have this many problems. So when we decided to move to Nebraska we brought it in and gave service a month+ to do repairs. We didn't know the roof damage had been sent to insurance as you went behind our back for that and insurance says they have NO pictures of any damage. We were not given the option to have a repair vs the whole roof being repaired and that should have been our call since it was our camper. We called 2 other Nebraska places and both said that is WAY too much money for a roof replacement. So not sure where that extra money you got above the actual repair cost is going. We told service (Rustin) we had to have it the end of September. Nothing was told to us until shortly before then and it would not be ready until the end of October . We had to pick it up for the weekend and when we picked it up we were really surprised that after a MONTH, not a single thing had been done..not a single repair. We are going to live in there for a few weeks while our house was being built. We were trying to figure out a fix and the only fix we had was to trade it. Our $86,000 camper we thought was a fair trade for a $76,000 camper. Was a huge surprised when you said it lost so much and was worth $62,000 essentially and we had to take a loan to get a camper worth less than our trade in. Then we find out you listed it at $79,900...you made money on it a year ago and then made $17,000 on it this time plus overage from the money you got from insurance....what a slap in the face for us. We came back to you because we had a great experience the first time and thought we would always be customers. Tricia you did a great job trying back and forth to get us a better price and helping us, we have no complaints with your service. In the end everyone knew they had us over a barrel and there was not much we could do besides make a deal that was horrible for us and very lucrative for you. Between lowballing our trade to making money off the roof replacement (which I doubt was done since it is in your inventory now) I guess you came out pretty far ahead at the expense of a customer. We had told everyone about our great camper and how great your dealership was after we bought the Montana. This experience was not a good one and right now wondering how we ended up owing so much money that should have been an even swap. We were told by another dealership that they would have given us $70,000 and had some nice campers we could have gotten. They also worked with a friend of ours who we talked out of coming to Rich and Sons and going to them. They got an awesome camper at the amount they wanted and they worked on the deal with the trade and also got what they wanted. They walked away so excited. Wish we could have had that feeling again.
