Started off buying a 2021 Grand design solitude. We were selling our house and was waiting on close. Even though we had still had 3 weeks until close, that was bumped to over 4 weeks. The sales team offered to take a credit card number to reserve the rv and we would pay cash after close. We went and took the rv the Friday before closing, because we had to be out Monday morning. The finance manager Rick and the dealer manager Barry, had no problems taking a post dated check from us. We took the RV 20 miles to Odessa and parked it. Still being new to an rv, I rubbed the side of the RV, it broke my heart but my detail guy said he could fix it for $300 or $500 if he had to drive to me. On the day of closing, the buyers couldn’t get financed so we had to return the RV. Barry and Rick instead of thinking about a future sake, thought only of the quick Buck and proceeded to attempt to extort me of $17,000 that they claimed was for damages! Then said $10,000 and then $5000. Truth is legally I could just pay them their insurance deductible and be done. Or claim it on mine. They tried to keep my truck until I paid, and did keep the check we wrote, which is illegal in its own way. The Rick tried to claim that I damaged their hitch and was going to have to pay that. After discussing it over with my lawyer, he suggested I press charges of attempted extortion against them. The case was picked up by the State attorney and is currently being investigated. I recorded each conversation we had had, be it in person or over the phone. I will NEVER return to this place while these two work there. The day I picked up my truck from them, we received another offer on the house for cash money. If they had just been civil and professional I would have bought the RV still, with the damages and on the following Monday. Greed and short sightedness and immaturity got the better of them and I still got a great RV.. just elsewhere I strongly suggest that you record your conversations with this business, let alone the price gouging they do in their shop, they will lie to your face. They are not to be trusted at all. If you damage one of their units, legally you only have to pay their business insurance deductible. You are not responsible for the “appraised” damages. They fixed the damages in their shop using a touch up kit and hammering out the small dents. I know the owner.

I have a handful of issues with my trailer that I just bought and have had less than 2 days Before I noticed these things. 2 days after purchase went camping and went to extend the awning One of the mounting brackets only had 2 bolts holding it in place when it started to extend Out to it's fullest I noticed it was starting to peel away from the camper and I instantly stopped and looked and there was no Bolts in place on the upper Portion, There was only 2 bolts in the lower part of that bracket that mounts to the trailer. I looked at the other side and there is a total of 5 bolt In the mounted bracket that's hooked to the camper. It came real close to being a disaster I have reached out And share a photo to RV lifestyle which is now been a week ago. And there has been no comment back I even shared the photo. I also found about 3 more little issues one was the cover plate at the base of the shower On the outside it's an access panel and when they put the screws in they misaligned so only one screw was holding an in place I'll have to reset the screws out about a 1/2 an inch out so it makes contact and mounted proper. And the trim seal around the shower is peeling away and this is after only having it a couple days I've noticed all this. Not to mention in a couple places I have found screws and I'm not for sure where they go but I've been finding them here and there throughout the trailer. I'm just wondering what is not attach that those screws go to. As far as dealing with the sales men Russ he was a pleasure doing business with. But as far as a quality of this trailer I'm starting to have my doubts

After waiting for 3months for an appointment we were advised that our 2017 303RLS Grand Design 5th wheel had a moisture problem that had caused our floor in our kitchen living area to be weak to the point you can almost sink you foot through. The dealer cant find where the moisture is coming and contacted Manufacturer but was advised would not cover out of warranty due to moisture. We was told it was something happening for long time but could not find would not look for cause with out us paying. How can a sealed up floor with no water leaks become this damaged. This dealer did not offer any assistance to resolve this issue or help appeal to RV manufacturer. The service person was up front at the beginning, before it was diagnosed, saying they would not cover repair or neither would our extended warranty. They already made up their mind not to help us or fight for us.
