I inquired about a 5th wheel that was listed online and requested a written quote to confirm the price and additional costs, which I received. In the two days it took me to line up a time to view the unit, which is a 4 hr round trip, the online price was increased by $8,000, but showed an immediate reduction of $2000, so $6,000 above our agreed upon price. We were literally enroute to view it when this all transpired. I called to confirm we were still good with the price we had been quoted and was told it's all good. 20 minutes later I get a call saying sorry, we can no longer honor the written quote, but they'd do us a favor and offer it at only $3,000 above the agreed upon price instead of $6,000. So an hour into the road trip, after taking the afternoon off work, we turned around and headed back. Some incredibly shady business, posting a price to gain interest and then once you have a few potential buyers on the hook, jack up the price so when you offer a discount of $3k, you're still guaging them for $3k over the agreed upon price. Seems there are very few honest people and businesses out there.
