We bought the camper brand new in Oct. from Blue Compass in Lexington. We noticed some issues with it and called service dept. We already had a trip planned so they told us to bring it in after. Main slide out (Accu slide) constantly comes off track and the back ramp door is warped so there's daylight coming through. I'm scared what else may be wrong after we go on extended trip. After they kept if for 2 months they said it was ready. Got it back home and NOTHING was done. Called service dept, she said Heartland told them to just replace the seal on the back door and adjust the slide. Told us (the customer) to call Heartland ourselves and tell them the issues we were having that there was nothing they (the dealership) could do. This is THE WORST experience we have ever had with a service dept and a brand new camper.

I had service done on my old camper at Johns several years ago and all went well, Was happy with everything. So, when we decided to buy a new camper we went to Johns, found what we were looking for and all seemed good. The hood over the stove was missing during, I assume it was a casualty of the delivery process which happens and thought nothing of it since our salesman promised it would be replaced and ready on the day we scheduled for pickup. Day for pickup, here is where the problems began. We scheduled a 9AM time with the salesman and when we arrived, we discovered NOTHING had been done to prepare the camper for pickup. Our salesman quit or was fired that very morning, not sure which and nobody knew we were coming. We suffered through the process which took until about 5 that afternoon. During our 1st trip out we found multiple issues with the camper including the replacement hood didn’t work. We took the camper back in to have things repaired and the hood turns out was a backorder item. The other repairs took several weeks longer than promised and we picked up the camper still without a working hood. I called almost monthly (good luck getting someone to answer the phone) and was told time after time it was on order, and they would let me know when it came in. After almost a year of this I was then told…. Looks like someone forgot to order it. Well, its in the shop now at Johns having some other problems fixed and I get a call today that the hood will now cost me $350+freight which they don’t know how much that will be until its delivered. Also, my camper was promised to be finished 8/10/2022 because we had a trip planned. Today is 8/15/2022 and they haven’t done JACK but get a price that I shouldn’t have to pay, especially since I bought the extended warranty. Bottom line is this is what happens when a family business is bought out by a corporation. Straight down the toilet. Johns service department has been absolutely horrible. Sales department wasn’t much better. I WILL NEVER again go to them for anything.
