My husband and I have purchased two rv’s in the past. Both were good experiences. Decided to move to a Class C. Found the manufacturer and model we wanted but was a ten hour drive to American RV in Calera, AL. Made the drive to see a rig that was trashed. Sales manager at the dealership stated to us, “You need to understand that we can’t pay $200 an hour for a technician to clean a unit and then have to clean it again when sold.” Customer service?? After driving the ten hours back home, received a call from another manager to apologize. Two days later, received a call from a General Manager over more than one of the dealerships in the state. Assured me the issue was being taken care of and that this was not their business model. Just found out that their way of taking care of the issue was to fire the salesperson who was the only one who tried to help us from the initial contact. Sad on so many levels!
