I purchased my Jayco Redhawk Class C here 2 years ago. Gillette’s brought it in allegedly “ from an overstock lot at Jayco that only had one left” didn’t really care for the management/staff then, they were kind of oily. Fake friendly & pure salesmanship when it got to add-ons, but not knowledgeable about the RV that I purchased other than the Jayco website. during the walk-through. I knew more from my research than he did, but this dealer is practically in my backyard, I loved the rig, and I had a $500 deposit down (non-refundable )That was so they would bring the RV in, which I now hear is pretty common, but it was not clear then & felt like pressure. I did have 2 very small warranty issues early on, and the Service department was great. Fast forward 2 years. I needed a question answered about warranty related paperwork& really did NOT want to go in. I just knew that the ‘guys’ were going to not be pleased about helping me, that’s the vibe I was left with before. WELL !! There is a new manager, new sales staff and my opinion of Gillette’s has completely turned around. Richie was kind, understanding of my problem, totally took care of me & respected me as a woman on her own. What a huge improvement! I recommend giving them a call. I feel so much more comfortable & trusting of them than I could have imagined possible. .

Purchased a new Cedar Creek Destination trailer June 29_ 2023 from Gillette in East Lansing. We asked to have several items repaired prior to delivery. The unit was delivered on July 29, 2023. Nothing had been repaired, the trailer was not cleaned inside, and the carpet under the king bed wet from a exterior compartment door leak. The delivery guy was asked to remove the stone shield taped to the front of the windows, but refused. No help leveling up either. After living in this coach several weeks contacted the Cedar Creek division and finally had conversation with the warranty department, but nothing has been done or promised regarding this coach. Typical response, and blame the buyer game. I was told by cedar creek they have built a bunch of these trailers, and have never had a complaint. ????? Will not recommend this dealer or trailer. We are convinced the designers of the CBAR destination trailer never spent a night in what they have created. On a positive note, the wow factor is up there, beautiful interior colors and light and airy with all the windows, which is soon forgotten after living in the unit. Not a good product for seniors. My wife and I are in our 80's, and opening windows closing draped are an excerise in futility. We parked this unit in Lake City ,Michigan for a summer home.

My husband and I bought a little 2016 R-Pod trailer from Gillette RV in 2017. We never had a problem with that trailer and kept it in great shape ! after using it for a few years, we decided to sell our very LOVED R-Pod and upgrade into something larger to accommodate our elderly parents for some camping. Upon arrival we were greeted by a salesman named Brian Monaghan- brian@gillettesrv.com and asked to join him in his desk area. as we approached his desk, my husband looked down, cleared his throat. Looking up at Brian then back down at Brian‘s phone as Brian quickly shut down the VIDEO he was watching. Luckily, I didn’t have my glasses on. Brian quickly asked us what type of camper we were looking for, and we explained to him that we have been researching many trailers, and wanted to look at a few freedom expresses .we’ve looked at a few and discuss some prices my husband and I left for the day ,and said we would get back with Brian with our final decision.  We actually were given a slightly better price at a RV place in Gaylord, but we thought we should keep our sales locally that way, it can be serviced locally. HUGE MISTAKE!  We bought the camper at the end of October, and it sat in our pole barn covered until May when we went on our maiden voyage. Everything seemed fine. it towed like a breeze! However, after the first shower things started leaking left and right. my husband spent the weekend fixing leaks in the trailer. (We keep our trailer for three months in Munising) when we returned the following week it had rained pretty hard we open our camper and go into the bedroom where our brand new $600 mattress is soaking wet. The floor has about an inch of water STANDING ! the front windshield significantly leaked and destroyed the wood under the bed. My husband and I were horrified. This is a brand new trailer. We poured our savings into this trailer and we feel like we received a lemon. We tried to call Gillette and our previous salesman. Brian we waited a week and never got a return phone call. We actually had to use my daughters phone to call and speak to our salesman who actually answered the phone in two rings .(this was after leaving him multiple messages.) needless to say my husband was a little upset with the whole process, and decided to NOT BE IGNORED anymore ,and go in and talk to the general manager Stuart Brabant-stuart@gillettesrv.com after we drove 6 1/2 hours back down from Munising. We absolutely thought that the general manager would be sympathetic to us maybe, “I’m so sorry about all the problems you’ve had, and maybe give us a new mattress since ours was destroyed ,knowing that he sold us an RV that is a lemon. Stuart Brabant agreed to fix our windshield within a timely manner so our whole summer wasn’t ruined .( even though it’s Gillette RV that needs to fix the windshield) we finally got to take our camper back to Munising only to spend the summer fixing non-stop leaks, furnace disconnections ,mold issues because of the leak , toilet leaking, shower leaking, weak shower floor, destroyed $600 Denver camper mattress, bed frame destroyed and moldy, outdoor kitchen sink leaking into the bathroom floor. The inside of the camper it’s self looks like it was put together by a toddler. My husband and I are not rich people! But once Gillette RV makes that SALE, YOU,RE FORGOTTEN! not only are you forgotten but you are now a BURDEN! The general manager heard us chatting and abruptly shut his door, and refuse to speak to us. we are not asking for anything that is unfair and didn’t think it was too much to ask from a company that generates approximately $2.3 million in annual sales.

We recently purchased a used truck camper from Gillette’s. We live in Tennessee and had to rely on the photos supplied in the for sale ad and also on the word of Brian, our salesman. So somewhat nervously, we paid a deposit and then waited while our truck was prepared here in Tennessee. A month later, we made the 500 mile trip up to Gillette’s. We could not have been happier with our experience there. Not only was the camper ready, prepped, and waiting, but two men in the service department, John and Mark, generously spent lots of time with us newbies and made sure every question was answered. Brian also did not disappoint. The camper was even better than he described. And even Kyle in accounting managed to find a creative way to make us especially happy. Often times, good experiences go unrecognized. But not this time. Thank you, Gillettes!

The frame was out of parallel ! The maintenance staff did not haves the skills to find the problem ( and the service manager was an ASS hole. ) I put a laser measuring tape on it and found it was 3 3/4 of an inch out of parallel not fixable. Not towable ! I sold it to a couple the put it an a lake lot (at a large loss) The finance person took the first offer to finance it @ 3.99% I went out on my own and found it at 2.99%. Don’t do purchase from them. The sell a line of B S !

Our first large RV purchase (new CedarCreek 5th wheel) and we chose Gillette because of their salesman (Ryan) and site mgr (Stuart) going the extra mile to make us happy with pricing, order recommendations and our scheduled pickup. All the techs who assisted with our awning glitch were super and their expertise with problem-solving was evident and appreciated. Additionally, we received wonderful support from their customer warranty dept (Brittany) who has been an awesome resource to us, coordinating a few missed OE components by working directly with ForestRiver on our behalf. It has been a pleasure to work with all of them. Even our pickup walk-thru instructions were handled with knowledge and professionalism (thanks Matt). We love our 2021 388DB and look forward to the years ahead as "happy campers". Gillette's played a big part in our RV purchase experience and we're thankful we partnered with them from the start. Kudos!

Both the sales team and service team lie to your face about the condition of things hoping they can get you to sign the paperwork and headed down the road. Once you do they will not return phone calls to assist you after you discover that many items are not working properly. Only days after making a large purchase from Gillette's, I have already spent hundreds of dollars and dozens of hours trying to rectify electrical and generator issues with my motorhome. Buyer beware!!!
