In 1956, a gallon on gas was only 19.9 cents when George Dodd took over the Texaco station that would form the beginnings of the family business. George had a gift for dealing with people, and customers just naturally sensed that this was a man they could trust. He worked hard to build a reputation for honesty and fairness as he expanded into used car sales and eventually RV

Waited to be helped outside. Someone finally comes out not friendly at all. Not helpful was directed to walk the lot they had units opened. Noticed other clients having conversations about their needs and being provided detail. Found two units I wanted more info on and also curious why directed only to the used RVs would have liked to see new. When I walked back up no questions, no acknowledgement of anything. Guess they judged by my looks and assumed I couldn't or wouldn't buy. Certainly different how they treated everyone else who pulled up and was greeted right of way and even walked around the lot showing them units. No thank you, no do you need help - nothing. I will take the info of what I liked elsewhere to purchase.

We purchased A 2018 Rockwood Mini Light Model RLT1905G form Dodd RV in Portsmouth on 17 April 2019. We also purchased the Multi Guard Tire Sealant and Duratain Protection. In addition, we outfitted the trailer with all the necessities Once we got everything in line we went camping on the weekend of June 15 2019. When we went to use the murphy bed it was broken and would not lock in place. We returned the trailer to be repaired. After a couple of weeks, we got it back and there was no strap on the release and screws were loose on the piano hinge. We were told by Drew that we didn’t really need the strap on the release. When we tried to release the bed to fold it didn’t release and ripped the locking device out of the wall leaving a hole. So, it sat at Dodd's for several weeks waiting on authorization from Forrest River and parts to come in. It was hard to even plan a trip as we had no Idea when we could have our trailer ready. We then got it back and it was repaired but the screws in the piano hinge for the bed are all miss matched. We then went for another short trip to Suffolk to see if everything was working. So, from April to October we were only able to use it 4 days to camp.We then made a trip to visit our daughter in Charlotte NC. When we went to use the refrigerator, it had leaked all the refrigerant out and smelled like ammonia. We had to use a cooler to store food which was a pain. Before we left, I made an appointment with Sara to have the camper winterized. Nov 11. When we returned the trailer to Dodd RV, we informed her about the Refrigerator. She called me before Christmas to tell me that the unit had been winterized but the refrigerator hadn't been looked at. We didn’t hear from you folks after the first of the year so about the middle of January I stopped by and talked to Jennifer Wise who took Sara’s spot. Nothing had been done on the refrigerator. I also asked her if she was aware of several items that I sent to Sara for correction but she was not aware of them. I sent the list to her via email 19 January. We were notified that work was complete and February 8th we showed up to pick it up but the door on the refrigerator was on backward. We received an email from you about all this and you assured me that you would get this straight. We returned the following week and the frig door was fixed but the tail light that was supposed to be fixed had to be worked on. Also, after getting the trailer home it was noted that the door sill was damaged. You had told me that you had inspected the trailer and had it detailed. You tried to ease the pain we have experienced by telling us that you would de winterize the trailer for no charge. With all the confusion and restrictions of the Corona 19 Virus we couldn’t make arrangements to camp until May. Lisa and I were cleaning up the trailer and it was noted that some of the trim had cracked and need to be replaced. I also had the door sill that hadn't been fixed on the list. I really wanted the weight distribution sway brace adjusted also. The tech said it didn’t need it but it was out of level by 2 and ½ inches. That’s what I had to adjust the hitch height to get it level. Your guys told me that it didn’t need to be adjusted The week before we were going to camp, I noticed that the filter was not installed when the trailer was de winterized. I plugged up water to the system to see if it would leak and water came running out of the hot water heater. The plug that was removed for winterization was not reinstalled. So, the day we were to leave to go camp at the last minute I had to return to Dodd to get the filter reinstalled because I couldn’t get the filter housing apart. Jennifer got the stuff fixed at the last minute for us. Before we left, we were putting protectant on the vinyl trim and noticed that some of the trim was cracked. When we looked closer it was observed that all of the trim was cracked and some all the way across the pieces. We then paid 262.00 to have them replaced. No one told us at any time until we had a problem with this trim that it needed a special protectant put on them.We had to file a claim with Duratain on the front cap of the trailer. During May when the trailer was at Dodd they came to your place and treated and buffed the area. When we were camping, we noticed the area had faded again. I contacted the Duratain folks and furnished them pictures. The response from them was they suspect that there is an issue with the finish on the trailer. The excitement of buying a camper and enjoying some travel has long departed. With all the issues with the murphy bed, the refrigerator failing, the problems with repairing the items like the tail light, the frig door, the water filterdoor frame, getting the hitch adjusted and now the trim and finish on the front cap leads us to wonder what ewe got here? We sent this content in a letter but got no response.
