We just got back from the dealership. We wasted gas to get there. First of all, they wanted all sorts of information just to look at any of the RVs. Since I've had my identity stolen, I'm careful with what info I give out. I only would give them my name. The greeter said he'd be right with us. Said that several times. There were all sorts of employees standing around doing nothing, but we waited and waited and waited some more. Guess they thought that by wearing work clothes we couldn't afford to purchase an RV. Stupid mistake on their part. Probably will purchase a new Winnebago Class B, instead, so it was a costly mistake on their part. I now can see why the reviews are so low for this business.

Camping World Service is a waste of your money and time. Their Technicians are not trained, and the turnover is high. The charge for fake services they don't or can do properly, and do not care about customer service. Continue reading to hear my issues. Had a RV systems check done. Everything passed. However, after a few days at home, my Propane alarm went off. I replaces the sensor, since they checked for leaks already and it passed, and the sensor was about 6 or 7 years old. However that was not the problem. I purchase my own leak detector and found 3 propane valves leaking. There systems check, including a water column check of the propane found no leaks (and the water column check is supposed to be the most accurate). Must not be trained in the use of it, or just faked the check. After taking it back for the leak, they could only find 2 of the leaks (after I told them of the three leaks found and where). I havd to explain the 3rd leak location exactly, then they found it. This is RIDICULOUS. They were going to order parts, but after 133 days, and not hearing anything back from them, they lost track of the request for parts, then wanted me to pay over $1000 for them just to order them (for three valves). Again RIDICULOUS. Then they insisted I pay for work I already paid for, 4 months earlier. Again, RIDICULOUS. Then they said I need to order the parts. I spent and hour online and found all three, brand new. They said if I find the parts they would install them (for a cost) If that is the case I can go elsewhere. In any case I found all the parts within about an hour online (total, just over $200), not the over $1000 they claimed. Again, RIDICULOUS. And this is what they do for a business. Needless to say, I will have the parts installed elsewhere, with real technicians. I also paid to have a Sealtech leak service, they indicated they found the leak, patched it up (charged for the test and the repair. But the leak is still there. There is a year warranty on the work, but taking it in may be a waste of time. Ok keep in mind, the total time my RV was at Camping world was over a month (two trips, one for the initial service and Sealtech, and another trip to have them verify the leaks they missed, so they can order parts, they did not order, then say 4 months later I needed to pay $1000 in order to order parts, the could not find. RIDICULOUS. I contacted Sealtech to inquire if they are qualified to do the Sealtech work. They indicated that should be. But Sealtech just sells the product. I guess Camping World just fakes it and takes your money. So to summarize: 1. RV at Camping World for at least 3 weeks to do a System Check and the SealTech. Both of which they failed at doing correctly 2. Another week to have them verify what they missed with the Propane leak, which I had to find. Did they offer any credit for the inferior work they did and caused me to drive over an hour each was, twice for them to figure it out. "NO". 3. Not ordering the parts for 4 months, then telling me I had to pay over a $1000 for order the parts. 4. Claiming I had not paid a previous bill, and that is why they did not order the parts. Of which management had to figure out I already paid my previous bill. 5 They telling me I had to order the parts myself, they they would install (at there RIDICULOUS rates, with poor quality Technicians). 6. I ordered the 3 valves within about an hour for just over $200 with tax and shipping. I found another RV repair, explained this to them. They seem to have heard about some of these same issue with Camping World, and there lack of quality service. I imagine, that is why they keep busy.

About four months ago my youngest son bought a brand new Heartland Mallard camper at camping world in Hendersonville NC . On his first trip with his camper the axel and wheel came off the camper on the way back from key west .. his wife called me scared to death because she could feel the camper tilting over when the axel broke . They had to leave the camper in Florida. It took them four months to get the camper repaired.. they weren’t been finished with their first vacation with the camper.. they were on the way to the grand Tetons national park . After a month we asked camping world to please give us another new camper so they could continue their trip .. camping world corporate said .. ( no ) All of their summer cloths were in the camper .. along with all the food in the freezer… the babies stroller.. babies clothing… it took four month to get the camper back .. the camping world mechanic told me that the factory forgot to put wheel grease in the axel hub causing the axel to come apart on the highway. Heartland and camping world could care less that they ruined their vacation… it would have been simple good costumer service to give my son a new .. new camper early on so he and his family could enjoy the summer..

I had an excellent experience with CW in Hendersonville, NC. Chance is an excellent sales rep and I appreciate the service that they have all provided for me so far. I like that CW has free RV Tech Support and this is a great alternative to having to take the unit back for small / simple issues.... read more

We purchased our brand new Motor Coach from Camping World about nine weeks ago, it has been in their shop most of this time. Camping World did not disclose to us that the new Thor Motor Coach we purchased had been severely damaged prior to our purchase. The last time we returned the Coach was to report it leaks, this is how we found out the Coach was severely damaged and they tried to repair it before we purchased it. We ask for help from Marcus VIP, getting conflicting response, they tell us to come get the RV. Contacted Thor, no help just lip service. VERY DISAPPOINTED in Camping World !!!

Michelle Sandler who took over when our sales rep. Robert (another super employee) who took us on and did a super job in spite of the fact he had two other customers at the same time! was out sick! Last but not least there is Dallas with your Detailing dpt. I believe. could not make out his last name; however he is very well known ;) and is a super employee as well as a person; has knowledge of value to your entire store and products; That he can not only repair, detail, and sell as he constantly did with us; He is a people pleasing person; "Please" honor his employment;

Great selection of RVs. Quick service to see what was available. Alamo Rivera excellent at guiding us through the options we had selected. Answered our questions and gave us several additions to the purchase if we decided to buy from Camping World. Sales manager Alvin extremely helpful during the pick-up process. Service staff Chris also gave us highly informative walk-through of the unit and quickly took care of our towing needs/materials at no extra cost. Great team within the store and staff seemed to work well together and genuinely liked working there. Definitely a good place to check out and make a purchase.
