RV service beware!!! Tracy, and I aren’t one’s to make a habit about complaints against a business! However in this case, I will not refrain! And I will file a complaint to add along with others who have already done so with the BBB! Campers world previously American RV on 76th street and their service department is nothing short of a joke. They are anything but honest and forthcoming.  i’ll try to keep this as short and sweet as I can but we had an issue with our trailer last October and I had made arrangements to have it in for service work the day we got it out of storage with the insurance companies blessing on April 22nd and I delivered it to them on that day! As of today May 22nd a full month later with many false promises, Our Trailer was still sitting out in the lot untouched with eight days until we leave on a two week vacation! The estimated repairs check for over $4000 had already been cashed yet my trailer sat out in the yard with empty promise after empty promise and lie on top of lie on getting our trailer completed at a date that would give us sufficient time to be able to use it! We were told again as of this last Friday, that it was sure to go into a Bay to start the service work today May22nd. and that it would be returned to us by this Friday! Tracy and I decided to take a ride out to campers world and visit the service department where we found out our trailer was still sitting in the yard and untouched, and I confronted the service department person that was assigned to our trailer! After confronting him today coming out unannounced he told another lie that my trailer was still not in a bay because the service tech called off sick which by the way was a story I had already heard a week earlier! Well I was not buying what they were selling to say the least! My patients was at an end and I let them know it loud and clear! I was then asked to leave the building! But before exiting the building, another customer had walked in and listened to my ranting complaint. At that time the service attendant asked me not to talk like that in front of his customers! I obliged him by saying go ahead and deal with your customer first! Low and behold, the customer comes out and says you have had my trailer for four months and the parts to repair it have been here for a month sir when am I going to see my RV again? I couldn’t believe it same shit same story different day different customer!! I blurted out to the technician Wow! well that apple didn’t fall far from the tree did it! another lie and upset customer! I was asked to leave the building, and I refused to leave until I was able to speak to a manager! That ended up like talking to a wall! More out of his mouth! He tried to cover for the tech at the counter. Bottom line we left the premises with our trailer and had them reimburse our insurance company for the check that they had cashed in advance! Our insurance company did confirm that they have received a notification about reimbursement from campers world, Bottom line I regret not checking with the Better Business Bureau and other reviews on this location in Grand Rapids prior to taking our trailer out there to begin with! Had I did some checking first and seen the complaints compiled prior I would have never took it there for service! So to anybody that’s planning on spending their hard earned dollars purchasing any equipment from campers world or taking your rig there for service I would very much do some research on the service department before you go down that road. Their service department is deplorable. please like & Share I want to make others aware!
