My husband and I purchased a 2016 Thor Class A motorhome, on 7/11/23 from salesman David Rennard. David was great in this sale, but I can’t help but wonder if he knew we were buying a load of problems on wheels. The 45 point “inspection” on our RV didn’t happen as the front AC was broken (seems like they put coolant in just to get the sale), the generator cut off in the back 30 minutes down the road, the muffler under the RV was held up by zip-ties, the shower drain was broken as all the water ran into the back bedroom, and something was wrong with the alignment or steering (you are not allowed to test drive until after purchase) These are just a handful of problems we encountered the first day of our trip to Myrtle Beach. Not only did we have these issues when we called Good Sam roadside assistance (we purchased an expensive extended warranty), but then they had no record of us and couldn’t send anyone to help, turns out our paperwork sat on the desk at Camping World. We called Camping World of Garner directly (Kelly White manager and Sal Ruggero assistant) and instead of them apologizing and sending help, we were told let me see what I can do and no one calling us back. We kept calling and leaving messages. We were stranded in Myrtle Beach with no help. Considering they did a terrible job in the first place, sending us off in an expensive RV that didn’t work properly, I don’t trust or want to do business with this company. We have since complained to Corporate Camping World and basically been told, we don’t care. We have purchased 2 other RVs over the years from Bill Plemmons on New Bern Ave. in Raleigh and had a great experience. Show less
