Brought in my 2018 Jeep Wrangler to have tow system installed. Got a call 3 day later that it was ready. I drove there with my wife to follow me home. She told me the driver's side tail light would not illuminate. I called and was verbally insulted on the phone for complaining the technician left his sweat shirt on my seat and the Jeep tail light was not working. She told me "we only carry RV light bulbs". She has about 7 awards lined up at her counter for customer service (I think)...much more interested in proving me wrong, which she could not. I demanded to speak to the manager, a really nice lady who 1. gave me a military vet discount. 2. got the Jeep back in service and had it fixed in 20 minutes (it was an unconnected wire), and 3. apologized for my experience. I would not go back there if it was the only RV shop in Nashville. It was that bad.

I am a FORMER EMPLOYEE of Camping World of Nashville. Please read ENTIRE review for your own safety. I made it 8 weeks before I quit on the spot. They instruct sales people to skirt important questions about finance, and tell them to take deposits $500-$3000 knowing full well the customer cannot qualify for a loan, then drag their feet on returning deposits and make the sales people have to ask repeatedly. I sold 6-7 campers in my first few weeks, only to find out AFTER the fact that there was never even a loan for some of the campers in the first place! Hence, leaving my customers to be liable for their trade in camper payments for months after, and unable to title their new camper to be able to use in their name. For these reasons, I QUIT on the spot when my prior complaints went ignored, and filed a complaint with Corporate explaining the entire situation. Now, over 6 months later, I have been informed by a second TN Government department, that Comping World is STILL claiming I work there and collecting a check from them. I was assured by both departments that “Freedom Roads” (CW) is the one “verifying” my employment, and that the last time they claimed me as an employee was October 21st, 2021. I have not set foot in that office since May 5th, 2021. When I first found out they were doing this, I called corporate numbers, and Nashville branch, no one would answer so I left voicemails. No responses. Now another 2 months later I am told again that I am somehow a “current employee of CW.” I drove straight to Camping World this week, and was given the run around and to go to Gander next door, which they own, and there I sat. The gentleman who spoke with me was kind, and instructed me to come back Monday Morning. So I left with no check, and no explanation of why they are reporting fraudulent employment and income. It was not until my drive home that I realized that they are probably using my social security number to pay a new employee who started after me? The former receptionist there mentioned that “It looked like I had changed my name” in the system when I emailed her directly in September…. Well, I haven’t changed my name and I haven’t worked there in months. I probably have HOURS more of phone calls to make to figure out just how bad this is and what my options are. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFO ESPECIALLY SSN. BANK FRAUD AND IDENTITY THEFT ARE VERY VERY REAL CONCERNS.
