We chatted & decided this was the unit for us. We paid our down payment & set appointment 2 weeks out to complete transaction and pick up our beautiful new RV. Today was the day! They installed our weight distribution hitch and the battery we purchased ourselves. I Cannot say enough about everyone involved in making this dream happen. Sales (Chad), parts (Travis), service (Brandon), finance ( Kim) ... Really, Everyone we came in contact with was genuine, helpful, knowledgeable, caring and supportive. We highly recommend them & will return next we are looking.

This is a review for Bob Ledford adventure motorhomes. We have purchased several motorhomes for ourself and referred many family members to Bob Ledford. I was hoping to update my previous review which gave Bob Ledford five stars because at the time they had an amazing service department. However we recently came into an issue where our 2018 Cherokee by Forest River tow trailer experienced a burned out refrigerator for the fourth time in within 6 months of each other. It was discovered after replacing the refrigerator for the third time that they had misdiagnosed the issue originally and it was actually the converter, and not the refrigerator. Our extended warranty would not cover the charges so we had to pay out-of-pocket over $400 for something that wasn’t our fault. Historically we would have had no problem working with the staff at Bob Ledford to come to a mutual agreement about service repair and costs. However on this situation Bob Ledford insisted that it was our problem and considering the extended warranty would not cover the charges, we had to pay. One of the reasons we are so frustrated is to know that if it had been diagnosed properly initially we would not have to have our unit serviced on so many different attempts to “fix the problem”. That is one of our issues for one of our many units. The second complaint is about the fact that we recently purchased again another unit from them and after two weeks of anticipation to have the unit prepped for delivery we discovered there were more issues than they could resolve in order to meet delivery deadline. Kelly from sales then called my husband to share that either we could cancel the entire deal or select another model that was identical to our first choice. We opted to get the identical unit. My husband was speaking with Kelly on a Friday and he told Kelly that he would be up there at Bob Ledford the following Thursday to do the walk-through and to sign the modified paperwork. When he arrived, the unit had not been cleaned. He was told that many of the repairs (eg warped doors etc) would be fixed. Both Kellly and Dave Ledford assured my husband that when he returned the next day, the unit would be prepped for delivery, and other issues would be repaired/replaced after the unit was delivered to us. So once again, my husband made another trip to Greer on that Friday to “take possession” of our new unit. There was a light wipe over done on the unit, but at this point we just wanted the deal to be done...assuming everything else would be made right. Another concern was that the salesman, Joey shared with my husband that both propane tanks had been filled for ease of setup. The unit was delivered later that Friday evening...and no there was no propane in either of the tanks. So here we sit - we’ve spent money that we shouldn’t have and we are still waiting for a call to clarify when we will get those post delivery repairs/replacements. Dissatisfied is a total understatement. To give credit where due, I will note that Phil (service manager) did attempt to make things right for the 2nd unit, but there were complications that prevented his efforts. Lastly, Autumn (finance) always goes above and beyond, but by the time we were at her desk, we were eager to sign and get home. Sadly, the stress and frustration we experienced will cause us to give serious thoughts about future recommendations or purchases.

We pre-ordered a Tiffin Phaeton 40IH Motorhome this year before Corona hit, with delivery in early July. When it arrived, there were numerous issues we were surprised would come out of the factory. We have had to go back several times to the dealer to try to get them fixed, including a leak in the slide that still persists. Each time they keep us waiting for days in their lot, with little communication, and then barely get anything done. After constantly chasing them for a month or more, we gave up on them and tried to go directly to Tiffin, but had no luck. We also had outright hostility and nastiness from the service department when after arriving on a Sunday at our salesman's direction (after a 6 hour drive ) that they don’t allow you to arrive on Sunday and tried to tell me I couldn’t park there until the next morning. She did not care who told me what. This is what you get for spending as much as a house at this dealer.

Normally they don't let you buy and take the camper with you on the same day, because they need to get it prepared. They got it ready and let us take it home the same day since we lived so far away. We have had some warranty issues with the camper and Emily takes care of us immediately! She is always on top of any issues we have. Emily will order the parts the same day and they get sent to the house as quick as possible. I don't know what I would do without her!! There is no way she gets paid enough!!

We drove an hour and a half to get there Sunday. We walked in and everyone seemed busy so we wandered around waiting. No one greeted us, but we were patient. No one was wearing masks indoors, but since we were in SC, we partially expected that. Still disappointing. Finally we asked a sales person to show us where a specific trailer was located. He was friendly enough and drove us to the trailer then left to tend to another customer. We looked around on our own and eventually he came back to get us. When asking about the trailer pricing, we mentioned another dealer, whom they slammed and falsely from what I’m now learning. Stating that if we bought from that dealer, they wouldn’t service our RV or they would put us at the end. This was off putting for sure. They wanted us to put a deposit down that night to secure a trailer that *might* be coming in soon. They couldn’t produce a spec sheet on it and weren’t even sure if they could tell us what was included. We opted out and the salesman said it would call us first thing Monday morning to go over the spec sheet that he would email me. It’s now Tuesday night and we’ve heard absolutely nothing. I’ve been in contact with other dealerships that are far more attentive and have returned calls when they said they would. Clearly since we didn’t throw money down immediately, our sale didn’t matter.

When we began looking for a travel trailer we started at RV Shows. Why? Because I don't like salespeople; especially car salesmen (RV salesmen were viewed by me as just another version of a car salesman). I don't like "high pressure" sales tactics. I am a very methodical, and process-oriented shopper and I don't make many emotional decisions...especially when it deals with money...and moreso with this amount of money. After we attended many (and I mean many) RV shows, we had narrowed down our list of potential units to four units; one each at four local dealerships. We quickly lined out two dealerships due to their salesperson's lack of knowledge couple with high-pressure sales tactics (interesting how these two things went together). Then, there were two. At the end of the day, we made the right decision to go with Bob Ledford's Adventure Motor Homes. Our salesman, Josh Martin, was a pleasure to work with. He understood our concerns, didn't try to "push" us into something more expensive, bigger or heavier just to increase his commission. He truly listened to us. After the sale he helped us on multiple occasions with warranty items when the manufacturer didn't want to cover it. He even called in help one time when we were camping and we had an issue! The parts department staff is absolutely amazing. They are very helpful, and just like Josh, don't "push" you to buy things. As a matter of fact, if they know your unit they will even tell you if something you're interested in won't work...or you just shouldn't buy it. How's that for honesty? Our relationship with the service department got off to a rocky start. As a matter of fact, I ended up having two of the Ledford family's personal cell phone numbers. But, they hired a new service manager and things began to improve. Like all dealerships, they are backed up. But, if you can schedule something with them (it isn't something that requires you to not be able to use your camper), they will now get the work done when they say they will (barring any unforeseen items like deliveries of items from a manufacturer which they can't control). Overall, we have been very pleased with Bob Ledford's. We are in the market for an upgrade and went to them first to shop their manufacturers. Hopefully we can make this work again.

Everyone that walked passed us, greeted us, asked if they could assist. We did our deal mostly over the phone. Nothing unexpected happened upon our arrival, very honest and forthcoming staff. Josh our salesman and Jeff our technician were both very patient. The store personnel and finance staff were so helpful and pleasant. Pricing was more then fair, no inflated prices within store or for service. Process was seamless. We highly recommend.
