Thor does not stand behind their warranty at all. Bought a brand new 2024 camper van from General RV. Picked it up in September. Was told that the refrigerator was not cold because they had just turned it on. It never got cold. It has been to General RV TWICE, OVERNIGHT for days on end for diagnosis, etc. They determined it does not get colder than 66 degrees which is not cold enough for safe food storage. General RV blames Thor, Thor blames the refrigerator manufacturer. No one is taking responsibility to replace this defective item. Purchased this van because it supposedly had a 2 year warranty and was told everything inside would be "covered". General RV and Thor just keep blaming the other for not submitting paperwork, etc. and this has been happening for weeks and weeks while I sit with a camper van that can't really be camped in. Because of the limited towing capacity of our vehicle the Shasta Compact 16RE was the perfect option. Campers with slide outs, longer lengths, and a dual axel were too heavy. I don't feel like I'm sacrificing anything with this camper. The bed is large, there is a lot of storage space, I like that it has a shower and a toilet. I wish it had a table but we opted for the model with a couch since we typically eat outside. Show less

Just bought this unit the furnace that came in it didn’t work right was bad from factory . Was sent a new one and it works better but not correct have to keep re setting the thermostat it is absolutely ridiculous the heater is in back of camper bedroom in front and only has one vent it struggles to keep warm in there apparently this system is new 6 months old I don’t recommend buying this until that system has bugs out and a good working furnace Show less

We purchased a 2023 Vibe rear kitchen in October 2022. Love the floor plan, beautiful to look at . We have used the camper 9 times and in August of 2024 we went to use the over the bed cabinets and saw that the "wood look" paper was peeling from the sides of the cabinet. Looking further we found the same paper peeling in various places including the entire top of the pull out section. We called the dealer who said it was no longer under warranty. My husband called Forest River directly and they said oh yeah, we had a bad batch of glue. Two days later we found the entire bedroom closet door and jam had fallen off the wall. There is a crack in the top corner of the shower wall. The bathroom faucet handles are cracking and falling off. The camper jack fell down when we were coming home from a trip - scraping the highway all the way home. We had to buy and install a new one. The kitchen seats broke with the first use as the screws were not completely in the correct place. We have since had to reinforce both booth bottoms. Just one issue after another. I have never been so disappointed in such poor use of materials and workmanship for something that we still owe $30,000 on. We paid $50,000. What a complete waste of hard earned money. Do NOT buy a Forest River product!! Show less

We own a 2024 JX450 that we custom ordered. Overall we are very happy with this unit and i don't think there is any other unit that we would want. That said i did rate a couple of things as 3 stars and quality control/attention to detail are why. My unit being custom ordered was missing some things which required the dealer to have parts sent and installed like a door. There were also some other items that QC missed that should not have left the factory that way. We did have to take a trip back to the factory to have some things addressed and while they addressed most of the things again attention to detail was lacking and i had to point out multiple things that were not fixed to my satisfaction. They eventually got it right but i had to hand hold it to get it there. My biggest gripe with my rig is the paint. I know they send them to a painter to be painted and buffed and whoever they have do it did not do a very good job buffing my rig. You could see machine marks all over it and i had to buff them out to get it to look like the brand new RV it is. Show less

I purchased the RV knowing it was used; it had 12,000 miles on it. Soon after my purchase all the furniture began to delaminate like nothing I had ever seen before. I called the factory, and they were aware of the problem and described poor quality coverings to the furniture. they clearly said there was a suit that they agreed to pay out, but I was too late due to the Covid outbreak. The furniture quickly became so unsightly and the mess we had no other option than to replace the captain's chairs, the dinette and both couches. Total cost was over ten thousand. The management at Riverside offered nothing to help compensate for a known issue. Show less

Bought a brand-new Highland Ridge Mesa Ridge 5th wheel 1 year ago. at Camping World San Diego. Black tank handles broke, spongy floor issues persist. Poor quality for the price. Disappointed with durability and craftsmanship in such a short time. Wouldn’t recommend. Show less

After replacing water pump once and the pressure valve 3 separate times and having the generator removed because it refused to work after only 34 hours. I am disappointed with this unit. Mercedes chassis problems were never resolved. Windows will not shut properly and stove igniter failed. Panels warp easily in cabinets. Show less
