I hate the quality of this unit!! What a spaghetti mess of wiring. expect fake wood trim molding to peel its vinyl covering exposing press board. expect water fittings to spring leaks non stop. VERY poor insulation , furnace runs non stop due to all the air drafts. ALL holding tanks gauges are never even close to accurate. interior panels and trim come loose in transit due to little pin nails not being fastened into structural unit. water pump is extremely loud and vibrates the whole rig, ( even after insulating) and making sure nothing is against any structural objects. cant replace mattress with another unless you sacrifice for a smaller size. factory mattress collapses after two weeks of use. NOT enough structural support for floor bracing as unit has been to dealer twice for serious floor issues. DID I MENTION THIS IS A 2020 MODEL? ran out of space to write all other failures. " DONT BUY" your welcome!! also GENERAL RV IS JUST AS BAD!!! they do awful work. make sure to inspect all work before leaving their facility as they are LIARS !!! I approve this review CRAIG STROM. I wish I
had never purchased!!! what a 50k loss. NEVER AGAIN !!

This is my first rv. I bought it 6 months ago (used) from its original owner. I have been traveling the western U.S. and living in it full-time since I purchased it.
I must admit, as a first time rv owner, I should have never bought from a private party. I missed out on the whole "dealership experience" (demo's on how to operate various components; basic rv maintenance and set-up info; etc.).
I am happy with the quality and appearance of my Cougar.
The only complaint I have about the interior design is that of the Dinette Slide. The kitchen table is weak and not adequate to seat even 3 people comfortably. The corner t.v./fireplace set-up is a huge waste of space. The cabinet enclosure could easily be designed much more efficiently (either smaller or with access to the extra unused space for storage).
This may be a complaint of all rv owner's (who knows), but I curse every single time I open/close a window or a window shade. The windows take so much strength to open that I wonder how in the world senior folks are able to manage.
My biggest complaint, which is my reason for commenting, is with the Keystone RV Company. The company has the absolute worst customer support. Support materials/troubleshooting guides/manuals specifically to each rv ... either they do not exist or such materials are too vague. My rv manual doesn't address any of the main components specifically. Instead, it says to refer to the manufacturer's website for more info, and then lists several companies to contact depending on which one is in my particular rv.
Many vital systems, such as holding tanks, valves, furnace, and tv/satellite cables are either impossible to access or are only accessible after taking apart and moving all kinds of barriers in the way.
Not user friendly. They don't make it easy for diy repairs. They encourage, or almost allow no other option, all repairs be done at authorized dealers. All authorized dealers are extremely backlogged. To even get an appt., I have to wait more than 2 months. Living full time in my rv exacerbates the problem.
Anyway, I will not buy from thus company again. Period. A company that passes the buck with all customer support matters doesn't deserve this customer's business.

This has been the best RV I have owned. Tires had to be replaced to Goodyear Endurance. A/C 2 keep it cool in the Summer, King-size bed wife likes, have large TV in bedroom, one 50 in. In living room and one swing out TV for outside viewing. 2 large awnings provide dry outside in light rains. Tanks are large for Dry camping. Lots of lighting inside and out, rear view camera makes backing up and driving view great when you want to make a Lane change. Pantry for supplies and lots of storage. New Air shower head and large seat in shower make it easy to take a shower.

The 315RLS has a great floor plan. We bought the unit December 11th 2018.The unit overall has been good. Some minor issues with the kingsize bed platform I had to redo and secure again. The main problem I have had is the rear Dometic A/C went out 6 months aftercwe bought it. This was only used 4 times on weekend trips. Then the Refrigerator went out. Thank goodness it runs on gas and electric. Had to run it on gas on out next trip as the electric dometic unit did not function. On the A/C unit I called the dealer and was told only they would service it. Other Dealers would not. I called Camping world and got no satisfaction. So now the extended warrenty 6 years is somewhat useless. The Keystone was called and Dometic co. (by my repair man, local) and did get them to send a new unit and it was installed. So far working. After me having to pay costs of install $300.00 As for the refrig I called a repair man that does Dometic and he came out and replaced a outside fuse and it seems to be working. Afain my out of pocket costs was $155.80. Hoping the next trip is uneventful It is Oct.2019
