Have you noticed that the older units get the best reviews. This, I believe, has everything to do with declining quality of the build. This applies not only to the motor coach, but also all the components. It's everything from the chassis to the vent fan. The quality of my coach is extraordinary. I'd like to have a house built this well. The solid wood cabinets, porcelain tile floors, and all the other parts produced by Tiffin are like brand new. I've had almost zero problems with the Spartan chassis. I did one repair to the engine but have always been vigilant on service with regular replacement of hoses, filters, belts, etc. Everything runs great. The other third-party components have always worked flawlessly with proper maintenance. Those include the stove, microwave/convection, dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer, leveling system, electrical components, etc. i have replaced some cabinet latches, and a set of electric steps. I need to replace the "canvas" on one of the awnings and it wasn't hard to find. It still drives great with plenty of power. Can you tell? I love this coach and wouldn't think of buying a new model. If i destroyed this one I would still by another older unit that has been properly maintained.

This RV has been an excellent piece of equipment, a joy to drive, and a wonderful place to spend our leisure time. We have had few problems and those have been relatively minor and normal. Examples are: new belt for the clothes dryer, a pump for the steering system damaged by a slow leak in a hydraulic connection, a new motor for one of many electric window shades, and a new water pump. The only big repair was to the wonderful Cummins 10.8-liter diesel engine. The turbocharger was not working 100% and I elected to have it replaced which was a pretty big ticket. All said that is not a bed record for a 10+-year-old coach that looks great and is still stylish. Can you tell? I LOVE THIS MOTORHOME!

We bought the Zepher new and because of the price expected yrs of use without a ton of problems. Wrong. It had a cracked windshield before even taking delivery. Since then we are on our 4th or 5th windshield and they continue to crack no matter what you do. We've had steps and basement doors open going down the road. Even locked doors. Steps cost us a week waiting for a repair in a place we had no plans to be. Then another week driving to Elkhart In. for a windshield. Same trip. A jack also came down driving down the road last time we used it. A hose broke in 1/2 bath flooding the basement as we sat outside that trip. The fridge is a nightmare...freezer has built up ice in bottom since new, then the entire unit went out.. had to replace all the door electronics. The stove burners stopped working and had to be replaced. About the 2nd year.Passenger door shade came loose...screws fell out driving along. Front mirrors move all over even after tightening screws. Try driving when that happens on a major highway. I could go on...and these are only the bigger things...I couldn't list all the smaller ones. Every time we plan a trip its a new disaster. This week it was the generator! It was fine and we packed to go...As we got ready to leave it would not start. A week until someone can even look at that and not close to home so we had to cancel this trip and all plans! We are afraid to even start out in it anymore. Its a lemon 🍋 from the day we bought it. Such a lot of money to get such a poor quality coach is really upsetting. We have had diesel coaches before but none with this many issues. We just want to sell it and will never get a Tiffin again despite having heard what a good reputation the company has. We were wrong here. I can't believe most the things that have gone wrong with this Zephyr which is supposed to be their flagship model. Makes us wonder if the lesser priced models are worse. No one should pay near $800,000 and get a mess like this so be careful. We couldn't be more distressed. A huge investment but major loss.

Best unit I’ve traveled in. Excellent drivability, cruises smoothly either with or without a towing load. I have towed a 28’ trailer with a Land Rover and 2 Harley Davidson full dressers and never noticed any load drag. The diesel will push you down the road and up mountains with ZERO issues from 65 to 85mph. I would never hesitate to have anyone takeover the helm do to the easy drivability.

But that also made stays much more enjoyable, as you had plenty of elbow room. Its 10.8L Cummins just goes and we never had a drive train problem. Tiffin only used the best materials and appliances and it shows in the way the coach aged gracefully. It towed a car or suv like nothing was there. We visited the factory once and were treated like kings. Whenever we needed a part, a call to Red Bay and it was on its way. It was always there for us, but unfortunately we moved on, perhaps unwisely.

You gotta watch right hand turns though, and swing wide! Every coach is delivered with a list of glitches that become apparent as you learn the systems. I have found all of these and fixed them either myself or at service centers. Spartan factory has done superlative maintenance, and I had some things fixed back in Red Bay at its birthplace, again outstanding service! Have 60k miles on this and have loved it. Time to move to the golf course!
