Jayco Seneca ZX reviews

This floor plan along with the 34SS and 35GS are exceptional. Jayco designed and built these units to take the punishment of bringing your home on the road. The units have a lot of power, easy to slow down and storage is abundant. We have created a lot of lasting memories in our RV and we have seen others also have quality family time. Show less

best overall rv ive had...getting away from slideouts is so nice..this rv has so much usable room no slides needed...i owned a 40 ft 5th wheel toyhauler before this 26 ft bumper pull...wow..having my truck bed back with my topper on is so nice..and at 26 ft..you dont need a football field to turn around!!!..jayco makes a very stout rv..i dont even need sway bars...real plywood floor!! scrwes not falling out like so many others..wiring much better...the upgraded suspention system and sony sound system top shelf!!! vinal floor is so nice.but they give you precut carpet to go over if you want it...the 6 ft kitchen table is wonderful!!! its in 2 pc...after owning both fiberglass and alum siding rvs...ill take the alum ..up keep is nothing...and has a better look..my 40ft did not have a real bathroom..but this 26ft does!!..and looking at other bumper pull toyhulers many dont have a real bedroom..its in the garage area so while driving you have no bed....not so with this jayco octane zx...very nice bedroom with tons of storage!...love that it comes with all vents having high way covers and a very stout ladder..rear ramp is strong great spring system with the best ramp locks ive ever seen..if you are looking for a toy hauler or a rv that has a ton of usable room......and can sleep 8.....and be under 30 ft...boom...you found it!!! Being in the market for a used Super C we came across a BEAUTIFUL used 2016. It was used VERY little w/ less than 11,000 miles, shiny, new headlights, new tires, etc. The inside was spotless, washer dryer never used, etc. It looked so new we had decided not to do an inspection, but the good Lord took care of us and when we took a Diesel mechanic with us to go on a test drive, it started to rain. When we brought in the slide the water came in AND with very little investigative work we found a soft spot in the wall and under the dresser drawers and potentially the beginning of the same problem on the opposite slide. Anyway, it bothers me that this RV is still advertised here at the same price. I wish there was a way to inform people of sellers/RVs like this, as the repairs will be costly! Show less

We purchased this RV new after bad luck with our last Jayco Seneca (2018). We thought it was just a bad unit and we had bad luck. We were wrong. The floor plan is pretty nice. Beyond that, there is nothing good to say. Jayco Warranty takes weeks to approve any repairs. This is how they are able to offer 2 years, because if you get anything fixed it will sit at your dealer waiting for Jayco's response. Ours has been sitting for 9 of the last 11 months to have fiberglass cracking issues repaired around all three slide outs. Jayco delays every step of the process. The dealership has to send photos of the problem...wait a few weeks for approval to see where the problem started. Then they show the findings, and another few weeks of delay to approve them to look further. After the problem is found, then it is another 4-6 weeks for them to approve the repair. Lastly, they delay shipping the parts needed to make the repair for another 4-6 weeks. This was the case with our old one, and now our newer one. The overall build quality is what you should expect from the shottiest contractor you have every seen. Jayco has the game figured out to make their coin, and move you out of warranty without fixing the problems. Every trip something else falls apart. My wife keeps a container in the kitchen for all the screws she finds when she is cleaning so that I can go get them when I find what fell apart. Everything is held together with self tapping screws. The majority of them are stripped out, or loose. Junk is the best word for Jayco. Show less

We have traveled in our 37fs for 2 years full time over 27 states. We have experienced all types of weather & have had no problems. We did have a recall issue that was taken care of quickly & one issue that was covered under warranty which was also taken care of quickly. We flat towed our 2007 Honda CRV that whole time & never ran into issues either. The heating system in it kept us very warm when needed & the cooling system kept us very cool even in high temperatures. Having a washer & dryer in the RV has been a blessing. Overall we are very satisfied with our Jayco 37fs & highly recommend it. Show less

We moved from a class A to the super C and were so glad we did. The cab was quieter the ride was much better and the AC actually cooled the cab when it was 110 outside. The truck chassis actually provided us a lower insurance rate as well. The Seneca is a great choice. We have had a few minor issues that were easily taken care of at the local Camping World. Overall we are extremely satisfied with the Jayco Seneca. The only reason for selling is that our plans for retirement have changed. Show less

Amazing coach, this unit is the most luxurious motor home I have ever seen. Livability is just as comfortable as our home. On the highway we pass semi trucks pulling mountain passes. Overall, this RV is a 10. Show less

Nothing but a disappointment. The trouble started on the first trip over 3 years ago, and has not stopped yet. We have had problems with slide rooms not opening or closing since day one, and have not been resolved. The hot water heater fell out driving down the road. Cabinets have fallen off the walls. Several electrical issues have presented themselves. The Leveling system has started having issues since a recall was performed last month. We have taken our RV back to Jayco's factory three times, and all three times it has come back unrepaired, with more problems than it originally left with. We have had multiple roof leaks, mostly from things that come loose from the factory using self tapping fasteners. The fresh water system continues to have new leaks where the fittings come loose. Jayco's craftsmanship is the absolute worst I have ever seen. We have never made a successful trip, where the camper did not need to return to a repair facility after being used. Don't walk away from a Jayco, RUN AWAY. Show less

This is a fantastic RV with loads of living space and storage. Tows without any issues and the engine is smooth without the loud clank of a diesel engine. The generator is a good size for this RV as it powers both AC's and microwave without issue. Show less

I'd give them a zero if that were an option. Our shower started leaking after the first time we took it out. It has been in the shop for the leak 6 times and the problem continues. The problem seems to be a design flaw. I emailed jayco and asked them to help. The shower has been resealed several times and the shower frame and door was even replaced and continues to leak from the same area. I asked Jayco to help and they said they would review our service records. They wrote back and said the problem wasn't found until after the two year warranty expired so they wouldn't help. I got a copy of all of the service records from the dealer and it turns out the dealership found and attempted to repair the leak before the trailer was delivered to us when it was new. Then we brought it back a few months after we purchased it because we noticed the leak. The trailer was in the shop 5 times for the leak during the 2 year warranty period and again after the 2 year warranty expired. I emailed all of the service records to Jayco and they wrote back and said their decision stands that they will not assist with fixing the leak. What a disappointment. The shower clearly has a design flaw that leaks and Jayco will not stand by their product. The dealer we bought from no longer sells Jayco products. Clearly they are not a dependable company. I would not recommend buying their products. Show less
