We were in Arizona this summer and I noticed some wrinkles along the sides of the roof membrane. I called Jayco and explained what I saw and that by the time I got back to South Carolina to let someone look at it, my warranty would be expired. They extended my warranty on the spot and did fully cover a new roof membrane that was installed in August.

We decided to purchase a Jayco versus other brands due to prior recommendations from others. We have been very happy until our bracket holding our awning started coming out of the side. We spent $400.00 to have it repaired. The RV service department said it was not connected to anything but the siding. No reimbursement from Jayco. Just want to let people know about this poor quality workmanship in case others experience the same.

I bought this one used and found a few things that have troubled me since I took delivery... 1. 14 bolts missing to hold front frame to chassis... 2. no camber on the curb side main rail... 3. Screws going through side walls with no caulk or sealant leaking... 4.Screws holding the drip edge on were drywall screws, no caulking or sealant coving them so water will get in... I was at the Tampa RV Show and spoke with the Eastern Reginal Sales Manager Martin Seneca sent him pictures and when he found out I was a second owner there was no more contact other than to tell me the warranty isn't transferable...

Jayco used to be a quality RV Manufacturer. The quality of this brand new eagle fifth wheel is absolutely horrible. I have have had nothing but repeated issues with this camper, from electrical to plumbing, to Jay command. I have spent numerous days fixing this camper instead of enjoying my vacations. Just a complete piece of junk. This has been my first and last Jayco.

We purchased this 5th Wheel in August of 2022, used it for 2 weeks and had to take it back to the shop (mid September) for 12 different warranty repairs. It took until April 2023 to receive parts. One of the issues is the pantry door, it did not stay latched and warped. Our dealership repaired the door back to Jayco Specs, but added additional latches to keep secured and leveled. The Jayco magnet does not do that. After just using the RV again a week ago, the pantry door has warped again and the hinges are hard to open. Also, 3 of the drawers in the bunk portion continue to fall apart and will not stay shut while driving, this interferes with extending the slide out.

My first 5th wheel and I am blessed to have found this one, I looked for a year and a half then this one came on line it had a few minor flaws from the first owner who didn't know how to tow a 5th wheel which I fixed in the first few weeks I had the rig... I started by putting lots of upgrades on her like slide-out awnings, new LIPPERT 3.0 Self-leveling system which took the quest work out of leveling and a bunch of other personal touches to make it our own my wife was all for purchasing the 5th wheel the colors and interior cabinets were light colored which really made the sale, we have had it for 2.5 years and we have enjoyed every minute of camping with her... The floor plan was also a great feature that sold us...

So many problems do not want to list. Jayco does not stand behind their products. While waiting for Jayco to finish doing everything they can to deny warranty work we repeatedly lost time we could use our fifth wheel. We paid tens of thousands of dollars to own a camper that spends weeks and months waiting on or getting repairs. We have had to cancel multiple trips with friends due to repeated issues. Most of the time we can only tell we have a camper because we no longer have the money we wasted on purchasing a defective unit. Enjoying our camper is becoming a distant memory of when we owned a Cougar for 8 years that we could actually use.

Our purchased brand new Jayco 5th wheel has been in for warranty work for a combined total of 14 months out of the 23 months we’ve owned it. It is still waiting for more repairs and warranty is up in less than a month. Jayco doesn’t care. They refuse to extend warranty, refuse to replace trailer. We have a $100,000.00 driveway decoration that we cannot (and have not) use. Stay away from Jayco, the company does not stand behind its products and thinks it’s reasonable that they sold us something we have not been able to use.
