We have owned a 2018 Beyond/Crossfit 22D for three years. Driving/handling are excellent, but it will only tow about 2,200 lbs. The 3.7L normally-aspirated engine does fine in the mountains. We get 15-16 mpg, but never drive over 65 mph.
Cabinetry is hardwood and screwed together instead of stapled particle board. Uses many of the same sub-components as other RV manufacturers (Onan generator, Truma heating, Carefree awning, Dometic AC, etc.) so component reliability is hit-or-miss, but customer service at Coachmen has been outstanding and when we couldn't get to a dealer, we obtained prior authorization and were reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses without any complaint.
Upgrades are integrated on a rolling basis, so knowing the year does not indicate exactly which items are standard. All come with 100W solar panel, microwave, TV, NovaKool electric refrigerator, factory-installed hitch, aluminum wheels, electric awning, and window and door screens. All have dual rear wheels and nearly all came with SuperSprings. Some may have the 3.5 L Ecoboost engine, induction cooktop, inverter, upgraded insulation, 200W solar, etc. Lithium is available, but we have the earliest version with two 105 AH batteries. They are skimpy, but easily replaced. Later versions had a 300 AH AGM.
There are three floorplans: Rear Bath (22RB), Electric Couch (22C), and Twin Bed/Dinette (22D), we have the twin bed version. The beds are very narrow individually, but can be converted to a Queen. The awning is electric and unreliable, the generator is loud (we added a resonator to quiet it), the AC is loud (but seems to work well for us), the refrigerator struggles if we are parked with that side of the van in the sun.
There is an outstanding FaceBook group for this RV and other owners are happy to assist newcomer questions.
We had a C-Class before and I wouldn't go back. In my opinion, of all the B-Class options, this is one of the very best. It is easy for me (an older, small woman) to drive and park. It is also the most quiet of any vehicle we own, which is remarkable for an RV. If our Crossfit/Beyond were stolen/destroyed, I would buy another.

This Coachmen Crossfit/Beyond is the best RV we’ve owned. The customer service support provided has been phenomenal!
Likes- very good build quality and cabinet construction with quality materials, screwed and not stapled, maple cabinet faces. Love that bath/fridge on drivers side and galley on passenger side, so visibility into campsite instead of neighbors.
Dislikes- Marine vinyl s/b darker beige. Difficulty cooling refrigerator on really hot days due to poor venting of it’s compressor. Suma-spring recall did not solve the “bottoming out”, SuperSprings SSRs does better job. Should change awning vendor, Carefree awning never has worked and still waiting for them to fix.
Still this Class B is worth owning and they listen to owners as they have better improvements in the 2019 and 2020.
Most important is they stand by their principle ““Dedicated to the enrichment of your life.” By providing you with long term value through all that we do, our focus is on providing a product with superior value and backing it through superior service and support. Once you become a Coachmen owner, we are committed to enhancing your Coachmen RV ownership and lifestyle experience… creating friends for life and memories that will last a lifetime.“

We love the unit, average mpg is 15 city and 19 hwy and this is with the 3.7 size engine. Would think Coachmen could give at least a 3 year warranty but since we purchased with a forever warranty that covers most everything. The only issues we have had were the Novacool fridge overheating which got repaired under a recall, suma-spring recall which was also covered and the inside truma heater vents that I modified myself due to them being damaged by feet hitting them. Love the Ford Transit and cabinet carpentry which is top notch. Layout excellent and a lot like the Paseo. Did a lot of checking around a this is the best Class B for the buck. I see even better improvements in the 2019 and 2020 units however, I prefer the generator over the Lithium batteries at this time.

Overall, this is a decent Class B RV. The Ford Transit chassis drives and rides well and gets roughly 15 mpg.
Likes: Coachmen spec'd the van with all of the factory passenger van windows and the window treatments don't block off the windows, so it's very bright and open inside.
Build quality is very good - excellent cabinet construction with quality materials, 3/8" plywood cabinet sides, screwed (not stabled) maple cabinet faces, etc. Interior is finished with easy to clean marine vinyl.
Layout has bath and fridge on drivers side and galley on passenger side, so on typical camp sites you have visibility into you campsite instead of the neighbors. This makes lots of sense if you campground camp.
Coachmen left a foot of dead space behind the drivers seat, so you can either recline the seat or use that space to store gear.
On the 2019 model, all fresh water plumbing is inside the coach. The fresh tank is under the couch, so you do not have that space available for storage - but it's easier to keep plumbing from freezing in cold weather.
Dislikes: Coachmen's only real mistake is in not venting the compressor refrigerator properly. It has difficulty cooling on really hot days. I ended up adding vents and fans on my own.
On the 2019, Coachmen only provides 200ah of ordinary lead acid batteries, which when combined with the compressor fridge, leaves you with only about 12-6 hours of battery before you have to plug in, run the generator or run the van engine.
