We bought this trailer in June 2022. It was a dry summer and all was well. Then no sooner than the rains hit last fall, we were constantly mopping up water in the storage space, then on the kitchen floor. At the time the trailer was in storage and every time we checked on it, we found water. After a theft at the lot, we brought our trailer home in February and kept finding water in it. By March the panelling in the storage space delaminted and we found wall damage under the emergency escape window. I also found missing sealant on the hatch frame and I think the floor is soft at the wall for I can push down on it in places.. I contacted Sunset Trailer about it three weeks ago... no responce. We took the trailer to the dealership two weeks ago... they found missing roof sealant too, cointacted Sunset, and got no responce either. Although we inspected the trailer every 90 days, used Dry Z Air and lots of towels; we hadn't the time to take it in until two weeks ago. Nonetheless, Sunset has refused to honor its warrantee... nor should the trailer have begun leaking when three months old. This was no dumped over dog dish as we first thought... I think the poor application of sealant, resulting water damage, and the non existant treatment we received warrants a refund or replacing the trailer. Strange how their website says, "Trust the Build." I don't.

I bought this trailer new from Budget RV in Royse City, Texas. Purchase was in mid-July. Trailer itself is shoddy… missing screws on stovetop and awning support. Bathroom door didn’t close unless I lifted it up. Trim around corners or seats and in other places is merely paperboard with tape printed to look like wood. Rubber trim concealing screws on front of trailer started flapping in the wind an hour from the dealer. Water heater (dometic 6-gal, gas/elec) has not worked once… even though I’ve replaced the thermal fuse. Gas will now stay on, but no hot water. Electric can be left on, even overnight and still no hot water. It’s a single axle and moves quite a bit when semis or buses pass. All-in-all… would not recommend this trailer to anyone. Yes, it looks cute and retro, but it may as well have been quilt in China. Have emailed manufacturer… did not even respond.

We bought a Diamond in the rough brand new from the builder. On delivery there were several deficiencies. These included damage to the unit through shipping. Beyond the bent and broken pieces, the roof leaked at the top of galley opening ang there were several electrical issues. Attempts to deal with the vendor were met with yelling and swearing. After much research and some trial and error I managed to get all of the items fixed. But it was way more of a headache than I hoped for or expected. I had other purchasers reach out to me based on my review on a Teardrop FB site. Seems my experiences were not unique. The FB site itself had even banned this seller.

We bought our Aspen Classic to tour Alaska because we were afraid our older GMC motorhome would have problems. Our regular car is a Toyota Camry which was not approved for towing so we went searching for the smallest, lightest camper we could find. We had seen An Aspen Classic on one of our camping trips and were intrigued. Designed to be towed by any motorcycle 750cc or larger, the Aspen Classic was what we needed. We searched for a used one but ended up buying a new one. It turned out to be one of the best purchases we have ever made as campers. It tows beautifully, even a Smart Car would hardly know it's back there. With 25 cubic feet of storage, it held everything we wanted to take, including a portable toilet. We got most of the options and even though it rained A LOT in Alaska we had lots of room both inside and outside to enjoy. Our only complaints were that the king size mattress is a little thin and we may replace it with an air mattress, and the leveling jacks are a little long to use for some campsites. It was a joy to get somewhere and after 20 minutes of setup we had supper on the stove and an adult beverage in our hands. It takes some practice to be fast but with two people who have done it some, in two minutes you can be out of the rain and finished in ten minutes. We seldom felt the need to hurry that much. We have camped places where 200 mosquitoes could find your arm in seconds and after set-up lounged in complete comfort, without a single bite. It's satisfyingly tight. More than once we've had two inches of rain overnight and been snug and dry. So, if you want to take tent camping to the next level with a full watertight floor, sleeping off the ground on a king-size bed and a nicely sized stand up room, you should look closely at an Aspen Classic if you can find one. The amazing amount of storage and easy towing are nice bonuses. Look them over at aspenqualitytrailers.com
