Thor Motor Coach Serrano reviews

We bought a used 2012 Serrano 31X and I absolutely LOVED it. My hubby is a big guy and he wanted to move up to a bigger 42ft diesel pusher though, , which is also great, but I STILL miss and prefer the smaller 31x since it was MUCH easier to drive and camping spots were much easier to find due to its smaller size. The only issues we ever had with ours were the same sort of issues any RV usually experiences, such having to replace the awning motor & the house water pump after several years of very heavy use , but nothing major and nothing that wasn’t covered by our extended service contract. I will admit that the ride wasn’t as smooth as the larger diesel pusher since the 31x didn’t have airbag suspension, but I honestly didn’t mind at all. The way that it could make a u turn on a dime and get into any grocery store parking lot was worth not having air bag suspension,, The Serrano also got much better fuel mileage. It got an average of 11-12 miles per gallon and our current huge DP only gets abour 6 mpg. If the decision was all mine, I would go back to my Serrano 31x in a heartbeat. Show less

Owned our RV since 2013. Excellent condition. Not one problem. It's a dream to drive and travel in. Have drove cross country several times and have enjoyed each and every trip! If you are looking for a top quality motor home, I recommend this one! Show less

Drives great and towe’s good also. Very quiet when cruzeing down the highway. Lots of storage space underneath, very comfortable interior. Lots of window in the front for veiwing the country side as you are driving. Good quality workmanship thru out the motor home. I would recommend this RV to other people. Show less

Purchase the unit new in 2012. We have owned it for 6 years. We winter in Florida and I've had it to both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts. We had several problems for the first two years. Thor was very helpful with customer service. We have had no mechanical problems but have had several cosmetic problems. The biggest disappointment was the quality of the upholstery. This is the first class A we have had. We expected better quality but I also realize it is a project on wheels. Not suitable for any owner! Show less

We bought a lightly used unit 3 years ago. Our first impression was that we had purchased a high quality home. But as we have used the unit we have experienced many problems. The slide out leaks and we've had repairs twice. The counter tops bubble and buckle with any moisture, what appears to be a solid surface counter is actually particle board with some cheap plastic wrap but the biggest complaint is the quality of upholstery used on all the seats. It appears to be leather but is flaking like for poor quality vinyl. Thor's answer is all furniture needs to be replaced. I have leather furniture at home that gets greater use.
