If you've lost a frameless windows while driving your Thor motor coach down the highway, this may interest you. Thor acknowledges the problem but refuses to take action unless the NTSB is involved. Purchased the Venetian because we fell in love with the floor plan of the G36. The RV has been very nice for my wife and I to travel in. However, I will NEVER buy another Thor product. The windows used are terrible and VERY expensive. My advice: Stay away from frameless windows! They look nice and are fine when they don't fall apart. Our bathroom egress window literally blew out as the adhesive used on the windows failed. Driving no faster than 65mph, a large tractor trailer passed us on the left and the suction/air turbulence pulled the glass completely off. Thor acknowledges there's an issue, but refuses to help pay for any repairs. Thor claims it's Lipperts responsibility, Lippert claims it's the responsibility of a company called HEHR, which Lippert owns. That one window was quoted to me by Thor as costing $2,184.72. That's just the window, doesn't include install. NTSB is aware of the windows failing on Thor motor Coaches and is in the process of determining a course of action. Show less

This coach/motorhome had been great. It has been very dependable. Some people may of had an issue with theirs, blaming Thor. Thor uses the same products as other RV Companies. When we had a minor issue, we called that company brand to get resolved. Show less

Thor Industries is the next Enron. We got tricked into buying one of their coaches and it broke so many times that they couldn’t actually fix it. The end result is that we are suing them, can you imagine a company that is so bad their customers have to sue them? Please do not buy an RV from one of their brands, do your research since they own a lot of the brands. Show less

The excitement of purchasing an RV was quickly turned to disappointment, then anger, then disbelief. There is a reason that RV sales are down 50% in 2023 and its not the economy. We purchased a brand new Thor motorcoach which has been riddled with major systems issues, cosmetic issues and poor workmanship. Our coach has been in service for approximately one year, yes one year straight. The issue is that things break faster than they can get parts and fix issues, the process is 1. submit issue to dealer. 2 dealer has to approve. 3 dealer sends to manufacturer for approval. 4 dealer requests part. 5 parts can take up to one or more months to arrive. Please do not let Thor ruin your dreams. Show less

We have had a few of these from Thor motorcoach, and their quality is always been outstanding. And the freight liner chassis with the 300 Cummins diesel engine has been an outstanding pair with the Allison transmission. We will buy another one. Show less

Expect SIGNIFICANT big ticket expenses. 15K or 20K bill, don't even blink when it happens. Not if.... but when. This is on a 2021 coach in 2023. The layout is perfect. I purchased a slightly used 2021 Palazzo in 2022. There was yellowing on the floor I couldn't clean up. The coach was barely out out of 12 month warranty. Turns out glue is coming thru the floor due to factory not preparing floor correctly. Requires complete floor replacement for the entire coach. 2021 model in 2023 Very challenging to have any level of communication with the warranty team. Completely one sided, all from the customer to get ANY response Many Many thousands of dollars to fix. Will not stand behind their construction. If you buy a new or used Thor expect to have a nice layout, but also expect SIGNIFICANT big ticket expenses. It might look ok, but understand you might have a 15 or 20K bill for underlying build quality issues (beyond the slide problems that are already well documented) Show less

With the latest V-Ride Chassis and ZF independent front suspension, the Thor Tuscany 40DX drives and handles like a dream, much better than any solid axle front end coach, which includes the Newmar Ventana, and Tiffin Allegro Red and any Phaetons with a solid axle front end. The steering is more accurate and the turning circle much tighter. With air ride suspension, it rides like a cloud without much float. The 40DX also comes with a more powerful 8.9L Cummins diesel with 450 hp and 1250 pounds of torque so going up grades is easy peezy, even when towing you end up passing semis like they are standing still. I find the best cruising speed to bee around 72-73 mph where you still can achieve 10 mpg. Step it up to 80 mph and your mileage will fall to about 8.5 mpg. I just finished a 4,000 mile trip around the United States towing a 3,500 pound toad and averaged about 9 mpg but speeds were 75 mph and above. It will peg the speedometer (85 mph) and then some but your a heavy vehicle and an emergency stop might get a bit hairy. The huge front windshield is fantastic for the driver and passenger. It's like seeing the world in IMAX. The quality of the wood and appointments are first rate and the sofa, theater seats and dinette are super comfortable. Another nice feature is the half bath which is accessible while driving (not for the driver). Having two bathrooms is a real positive. It's without question, the best value in a diesel pusher, especially a coach with the independent front suspension and 60 degree steering cut, plus the advantage of the 450 hp Cummins diesel which also makes this diesel so quiet. It almost can pivot on its rear wheels. And and has a single rear axle which makes it much easier to maneuver especially, backing up. Show less

Purchased brand new 2023 Thor 45MX and the experience has been truly horrific. I wont go into details here but they pump these products out so fast with zero quality control and then let the dealers try and fix them in order to pump their stock price and allow the executives to make millions of dollars per year. Please don't purchase a Thor product, your pocket book will thank you. Show less
