This camper is wrought with issues. PC board for water heater went bad after 3 years. Thermostat went bad. PC board melted and Thermocouple did not do its job. Pex fittings have small leaks under sink. Valves connected to Pex are cheap plastic and have a tendency to leak. Control panel inside camper has a switch for electric water heater but there is no electric for this model water heater. Model G6A-8E water heater is strictly gas, but the switch comes on when you toggle it. Its just inoperative for this model water heater. Entry door has a magnet that holds it open but after so many times pulling door shut from magnet, the magnet loosens from rear of camper and strips itself from the metal siding. Very poor design to say the least. Construction of bench seats is shoddy. A 1/4"-3/4" gap between frames. Staples barely keeping this thing together. Last but by no means least. Good Luck reaching out to Manufacturer. My advice. Run as fast as you can from this Manufacturer of this model or anything they build. Run fast!

We bought this trailer in June 2022. It was a dry summer and all was well. Then no sooner than the rains hit last fall, we were constantly mopping up water in the storage space, then on the kitchen floor. At the time the trailer was in storage and every time we checked on it, we found water. After a theft at the lot, we brought our trailer home in February and kept finding water in it. By March the panelling in the storage space delaminted and we found wall damage under the emergency escape window. I also found missing sealant on the hatch frame and I think the floor is soft at the wall for I can push down on it in places.. I contacted Sunset Trailer about it three weeks ago... no responce. We took the trailer to the dealership two weeks ago... they found missing roof sealant too, cointacted Sunset, and got no responce either. Although we inspected the trailer every 90 days, used Dry Z Air and lots of towels; we hadn't the time to take it in until two weeks ago. Nonetheless, Sunset has refused to honor its warrantee... nor should the trailer have begun leaking when three months old. This was no dumped over dog dish as we first thought... I think the poor application of sealant, resulting water damage, and the non existant treatment we received warrants a refund or replacing the trailer. Strange how their website says, "Trust the Build." I don't.

I purchased what is a 2023 year Sunlite Classic 16BH Elite package, manufactured Sept. 2022. The eye candy, weight, and price are great. Have only gone about 500 miles with it so far but found some issues to be addressed. The rear stabilizer jacks were attached with bolts through the 4" rear bumper, thus, one can NOT store the stinky slinky like one would expect. The roof AC sounds like standing in a wind tunnel, so had to add electronic speed controls to tame it. The air diffuser for it was nothing but slots with no directional control. The radio / Bluetooth streaming player is nice, but audio volume control is complicated. Stove is right beside the bed, so, some kind of splash screen is needed. Storage is great, though a drawer for pots /pans could be installed in forward dinette storage. Towing has been very reasonable so far.

I bought the Sunray Sunset Sport 109 and had several issues such as the main window screen cracking, door handle screw cover fell off, and a misaligned storage lock. I used the warranty and it was all fixed. Other than those minimal issues, I am very happy with the camper. It’s a great camper for solo camping and gives me all the comforts of home in a small profile. Pulling this with my 4cyl car is a breeze other than a little wind drag from my car being shorter than a high profile SUV. I expect some issues as this is a lower price bracket than other campers. As long as it stays safe to tow, I have no issue with this camper.

I’m not sure if I got a “Friday” trailer or if all of the Sunset trailers are built poorly. There’s so much wrong with this trailer I will just list and not explain. 1. The screen for the main window is too small. 2. The vinyl is missing in spots on the sofa bed cushions. 2. The door frame is separated. 4. The deadbolt and door jam holes don’t line up. 5. The plastic frame around the A/C is cracked. 6. The refrigerator doesn’t seem to work on propane like it’s supposed to, refrigerator just keeps saying “check.” 7. The main ground wire was not secured properly, the power would not work including the furnace. 8. The bed frame broke off from the wafer board, just glued together. 9. The passenger side break/turn signal stopped working. 10. Screws are falling out from the woodwork, because the holes were miss cut not allowing screws to connect. 11. The propane regulator seems not to function properly. 12. Walls separated at the seams. 13. Trim work not secured. THESE ITEMS, except for a few, were discovered on the first camping trip. Other items were discovered pre purchase and post purchase prior to use.

He voluntarily went over my camper with me and answered all my questions. The 16BH is perfect for singles, couples or a small family. It has all the amenities to make your camping experience comfortable, easy to tow and maintain, and can go places larger campers can't go. Love it!
