Streamline Travel Trailers - Teardrop reviews

I've had this a few years now. I got because I liked the layout and the full fiberglass surround shower. It was cheap at $1500 But you had do a refurbish. These are aluminum structure trailers like, Airstream. The roof and walls don't deteriorate like canned ham trailers. But the downside to aluminum framed trailers are any leaks get to the floor eventually. So look for floor rot. Streamline uses a lot of aluminum in cabinets. The cabinet doors are typical panel hollow frame design. The steel under frame has a third member down the center to the axles. It has a black tank and some have gray tanks. I removed the gray tank as it was aftermarket and had clearance issues. The old jalousie windows have pretty much give up the crank operation. But are still solid otherwise. Livability. It's not a bad camping trailer for a weekend. The stove is 4 burner and after 50 years still performs well. The oven is big enough for doing small things like biscuits, muffins. Be careful as gas tends to get the bottom a little more done. You might get a chicken in it but a turkey ain't happening. Counter space is limited but with sink covers you can get more space. Pan space is good. Drawers are a bit limited at 3. Small over head spice rack integrated into the hood is handy for a small amount of spices. The overhead cabinets are decent for plates and stuff. Across from there you have a tall cabinet for a pantry. The fridge is adequate for a weekend. There is a cabinet above the fridge. Next to it you have another tall closet. We use it as the broom closet. There are two full height narrow closets in the bedroom. The left one has the fender well initially so you can't use the bottom well. And there's a 3 drawer dresser too. The full bed is a little wide so the space between closets is minimal. One thing I don't like, compared to some rear bed set ups is you can only get out of bed on one side. If your the one in the hall side it's fine. If you're against the wall not so much. The bathroom is decent. The shower is bigger than most new trailers and we'll built. Toilet space is adequate. And has a decent mirror cabinet and storage for towels. Storage is pretty good on these trailers for the most part. For an old trailer it's laid out pretty good. Tows well and is comparable to Airstream for less money. Show less
