This was actually the worst decision I have made… to purchase a Pro-Lite trailer in 2017. Poor quality, cheaply made and after 5 years it is a total write-off due to water infiltration. Person at service department was rude and suggested lying to insurance reps. FYI insurance does not cover water damage and Prolite will blame the client rather than fix their poor quality product. I will never recommend Prolite trailers to anyone.

We made the trip from NE Pennsylvania and bought our Prolite Evasion brand new at Caravane 201 in St. Clet, QC. We were able to get the rare tan/gray color that the Lounges have. I've never seen another Evasion like it...but to be honest we don't see too many Prolites in general. We spent so much time looking at other brands - (Aliner, NUCamp, Safari Alto (super expensive!) Taxa, Scamp, Casita, Oliver, Falcon F-Lite, etc...) but it was hard to find a self-contained unit that was well made, light enough to tow with a Subaru Outback, 6'4" height inside (I'm tall), with a wet bath, while also at a reasonable price.
Over the next 2-3 years we travelled 60,000 miles coast to coast from Canada, to FL, to CA, Vancouver Island, BC, though the Rocky Mountains, back to the east coast, and finally settling in Arizona. Overall the experience was a great one. The Evasion is lightweight and easy to tow, but it does get tossed around a bit at highway speeds, so a sway-control bar is always needed. Our tow vehicle was okay, and the only complaint was that we needed more power. While this setup is doable, I suggest looking at a tow vehicle that is rated for AT LEAST 3500lbs (the Outback sits at 2700lbs). We've taken this combo boondocking on some really challenging rocky-rutted roads in Colorado and Arizona. While fun, I don't recommend this. Some scrapes and damage taught us to chill out. Try to stick to well-graded dirt/gravel roads. This thing is not meant for overlanding w/o modifications.
I'm impressed with the build quality of this unit, but again, we're talking about a stick-built home on wheels that's subjected to frequent "earthquakes". Tightening of screws and visually inspecting everything often is key to keep up with any repairs. There were a few problems (not caused by us) that I would like to mention:
1. Shower pan cracked. I was able to repair this with some fiberglass sealant.
2. Needed to install AC - it came w/o it from the factory.
3. Exterior fiberglass bulges in hot weather. This typically happens on both the passenger and driver sides of the camper. I know I'm not the only one with this issue. Many have reported this and have had it repaired at the factory in Montreal. I never fixed it since Montreal is now 3000 miles away from us.
4. The trailer sits low to the ground, so the A-frame jack almost always hits something. Always try your best to take it at an angle when entering parking lots with this camper, unless you replace it with one of those jacks that folds up into the A-frame.
5. Typical oxidation/fading of the fiberglass (mostly on the roof and front of the camper). Having lived and stored this camper outside in Colorado and Arizona, definitely invest in a cover and wax it frequently.
6. Expensive. We purchased ours in 2018 for $25,000, now they are more. Seems to hold value pretty well. NADA states that it's worth 20,000-23,000.
Overall a great lightweight camper with all the amenities that you need. If you find one. Buy it. I'm keeping mine until I die.

Bought new in 2018 then took a full-time 2 year 60,000 trip coast to coast with a 2017 Subaru Outback 2.5.
Very easy to tow and fits into tight spots. Don't try to do too much off-roading w/o some modifications such as a lift and a different trailer jack. The latter scrapes if you're not careful when entering and exiting parking lots. Take it at an angle! I'm 6'4" so there is just enough room inside for me. We got AC installed since it didn't come with it. With that I lost over 1 inch inside when directly under the unit.
The build quality overall is okay. I replaced all of the metal cabinet latches with HD plastic latches found in Airstreams due to the factory latches breaking. Screws have to be tightened over time, but this is normal. The interior maple wood is unfinished, which is fine. Cleans up pretty easily when dirty. The shower pan cracked around the drain, so I had to fix that. The clearcoat is oxidizing even with regular washings and spray wax, granted this is mostly due to the Arizona and Colorado sun and my lack of giving it a proper coat of wax. The most annoying problem however is the bulging of the fiberglass - mostly on the sides of the camper. It is NOT water infiltration. This started happening after we had it for a year so it was no longer under warranty. The only option at this point is to raise a stink with Prolite to have them say that we'll need to drive it cross country to their factory. That's not gonna happen at this point, so we just live with the issue. Seems like there are others with this issue.
Even with those issues, I love this camper. We get compliments on it all of the time and almost 4 years into ownership I'm still happy with it. I added a WeBoost cell phone booster so we could work from the road, 100w of solar on the roof to use in addition with the 100w portable panel we have, and we also upgraded the battery to AGM. All in all, pretty darn cool.

It also includes a 1" anti-sway bar ball welded to the 'A' frame that allows adding an anti-sway bar for enhanced towing, especially at highway speeds and when large vehicles/trucks pass.
It levels fairly easily, even though the stabilizer bars and hitch jack are manual drop/raise, and the hitch height is about 13" for a 2" ball.
Overall, it is a great, lightweight camper that can be pulled by a Subaru Outback or any smaller vehicle that can pull at least 2,000lbs where the UVW is 1950lbs, GVWR is over 3,000lbs, and tongue weight is 195lbs.

This is the perfect RV for me. It can be towed by my Subaru Outback, so I didn't need to buy a tow vehicle. I wanted a trailer that had a toilet/bath but needed it to be light enough for my car to tow. ProLite is the brand that can provide that in several models. The Plus has a slide out that allows me to keep the bed made up and use the bench for a dining/working area. There's a table hidden in back of the slide out seat! The kitchen area is spacious with lots of storage. There's an additional storage cabinet in the rear of the trailer with counter space on top. It's a small package packed with function. At 15ft you'll fit in any camping spot.

I bought a new 2018 Prolite Eco travel trailer from Longhaul trailer sales in Listowel Ontario from salesman Nick Shantz on April 15, 2019. On April 18 I Isent pictures of a bulge in the fiberglass, spider cracks, delamination, rust underneath and wrinkled interior paper to the manufacturer and to the dealership that sold me this trailer. The manufacturer never responded and the dealer told me to use epoxy glue on the spider cracks and that the rest was cosmetic. On the first camping trip three weeks later I had leaking and when I took it to be repaired I was told that the sealant was missing ,separating and deteriorating along the seams and running lights. Three months later I was reimbursed for the spider cracks but not for the sealant. The manufacturer believes it was the responsibility of the dealership to maintain this trailer while it was in their possession. I also found out there had been two previous claims made to repair delamination on this trailer and the dealership never told me that. The manufacturer has since asked me to take this trailer to a fiberglass repair expert in my area and I did and their opinion is that the damage is extensive and that it should be sent back to the factory in Canada as they believe this is the result of leaking. I tried to get the owner of Prolite Martin James to call me back because no one was able to make a decision with regards to what should be done next. It took a month and for me to go on social media in order to get that call and as of today Martin James told me I would have to drive it back to the factory 1800 miles from me. Still hoping for a better solution. One that does not put the burden on me the customer.
