**BEWARE OF THE PLEASANT WAY ITS NOT ALL THE HYPE!!** My experience with La Mesa RV in Davie as a single woman new to the RV Lifestyle has been nothing short of a nightmare and a complete disappointment, especially for the 2024 Mercedes Pleasant Way Plateau that I paid over $175,000 for! From the moment I purchased the RV in September 2024, the issues started piling up. On the drive home from taking delivery, the check engine light came on. When I called the next day, Blake, the salesman, minimized my concerns and brushed it off as “not a big deal,” suggesting I take it to Mercedes myself to get it fixed. What reputable dealership lets a customer drive off the lot with a check engine light on and then tells them to deal with it on their own? They also failed to give me all of the keys at the time of delivery. I was fortunate to figure this out prior to taking it out of town otherwise I would’ve been hundreds of miles away from home, unable to access certain areas of the RV. When I took it to Mercedes-Benz of Coconut Creek, I was told they were unaware of any pre-existing check engine light issues, and due to a shortage of lifts for Sprinter vans, it would take 5-7 days just to look at it. I was forced to reach back out to La Mesa RV, who had no problem inconveniencing me further by having me drop it off at their Davie location and Uber back home numerous times. They took the RV to Mercedes in Miami, where it stayed for several days. After getting it back, La Mesa assured me everything was taken care of, but within an hour of driving, the check engine light was on AGAIN!! I was already headed out of town for a camping trip. This time, Joseph Jaure from La Mesa had to pick up the RV from my home when I returned and bring it back to Mercedes of Miami, where it sat for another five days before being returned to me. Only now, within an hour of driving out of town for another camping trip, the air conditioning and internal appliances stopped working. I had to pull over on the side of the highway and call Pleasant Way, who informed me that I needed to reset the inverter by shutting down the entire unit, including the engine. It was an extremely hot day, and I had friends and my dog in the RV. That was the first of three times that day the inverter/charger failed. Later, Pleasant Way casually mentioned they were aware of this issue and that it required a software update only a technician could perform. They knew this could happen, yet did nothing to ensure the updates were applied before delivery. This left my friend and I stranded to figure out other accommodations on our camping trip. In the course of owning this brand new 2024 Mercedes Pleasant Way Plateau for just five weeks, it has been in the shop for three of them for various repairs and system updates. Meanwhile, I’m stuck paying monthly payments for a defective RV along with storage fees. It’s clear that La Mesa RV got their money and could care less about the consumer. They assured me they would fix the problems and communicate clearly, but they have failed miserably on both fronts. I’ve given them ample opportunity to rectify the situation, even requesting a replacement, but I’ve lost all confidence in La Mesa RV, Mercedes, and Pleasant Way. La Mesa’s customer service is beyond appalling. I’ve had to reach out to Channel 7’s "Help Me Howard" just to get attention on this issue. Beyond the initial $175,000 purchase price, the loss of usage is infuriating, and the company refuses to offer any meaningful compensation or solution. La Mesa RV is only interested in getting RV’s over the curb…. and getting their money, once they do they will leave you high and dry the moment issues arise. Do yourself a favor and avoid this dealership at all costs!!

2020 Pleasure-way Lexor FL. Had it for 4 years (selling today). Excellent quality. Spent as much as a month at a time in it during the winters down south. I did upgrade the fridge/freezer to from an absorption to compressor based. And replaced the noisy air conditioner with something much more quiet. Since my purchase, RV manufacturers have switched to quieter ACs. My only weaknesses in this specific model is the very limited ground clearance due to the generator. And I would have liked a larger propane tank (4.7 US gal). But the build quality is excellent and has the largest wet bath in a class B. Very happy to have the 2 KW inverter, making it more like a home

Drives as well as any Mercedes, very comfortable and the interior is awesome! Everything on the vehicles worked extremely well over the past 7/8 years except one item> the 2.5 KW Onan Generator. Onan/Cummins had issues with the voltage/fuel regulator. The part can (and was) replaced; however, it's extremely difficult to find reputable mechanics that are willing to work on these "on-board" generators, and most Cummins dealers and service centers will not work on RV's. I did find one Cummins dealer an hour away tht claimed they could fix it; however, this misdiagnosed the problem 3 times and after 4 trips there and back, as well as 7 months waiting on different parts each month....I gave up and found an independent RV dealer that fixed it within 3+ months. Bottom line: All good on this make and model but just don't count on using the generator often.

I saw an ad for the sale of the same model and year of my Plearure-way. So, I thought I would share my experience. My wife and I own and travel in our 2008 Ford Pleasure-way. It has been very wonderful to camp across the United States. I can easily park the vehicle -- it is only 20 feet long. 2008 Pleasure-way Excel TS Class B motorhome is Pleasureway's most popular model. It has a wide-body with a forward facing sofa that also makes into a 6'4' bed. The generator in our unit is loud, so we do not use it. We do not seem to need it. It has lots of cabinet storage both inside and out. The kitchen has all the essentials. It has an outdoor shower hose, but we have never used it. The gets about 14 miles per gallon -- 17 tops. I hope this information helps someone.

Our 2007/8 Pleasure Way Excel TS is a dream to drive. We use it daily as our primary vehicle and it is great downtown - fits in a regular parking space and has a great turning radius! I am a petite female and it is very comfortable to drive. It's also great on the highway and on mountain roads. The Ford Engine/chassis has been extremely reliable. It starts right up - even with 139,000 miles on it. I bought it with 82,000 miles on it from a friend I trusted who owned an RV dealership . I was concerned about the miles, even then, and he said those Ford engines could probably easily go 200,000+ miles, so I dived in. I have no regrets whatsoever. Not only is this a great-driving vehicle, it is a luxury RV. The materials, craftmanship, quality, and functionality of the space is unsurpassed. I have had 2-3 other brands and go to RV shows and look at a lot of RVs. None of them compared to Pleasureway in regard to layout, craftsmanship, quality and effective use of space.

The Pleasure-Way Pursuit is a "top shelf" small coach that you can take anywhere you can park a car. I wanted the small size because of the narrow roads in the Hawaiian Islands. This filled the bill to a T. They are extremely well made, with natural maple cabinetry, electric blinds and shades, roof top opening skylights, swivel seats up front and that clever corian table that converts from a book rack behind the passenger. Corian EVERYWHERE! Oh my gosh the BATHROOM! I wasn't going to get a coach with a bathroom where my feet stuck out. Nope. When I saw the bathroom, that was a big sell for me. Another "must have" was a rear dinette/bed. I had considered the Toyota mini motorhomes, I owned a Dolphin years ago, but I didn't want the repairs that come with an RV that is so aged. (they are around 30 years old now) I love being able to have a great view from the incredible windows. We drive to the beach on rainy days, pull into a nice place to park and play cards, or games, read or listen to music. Sometimes I play my guitar. We can pop in a video if we feel like it. The awning is wonderful for the days when you want to be outside. Our camp chairs fit in the outside storage with our tiki torches. I just put a bike rack on the back, so I can peddle around Kona and do a little shopping. This is what I would call a small luxury coach, and it does not disappoint. Well done, to whomever designed such a fabulous little unit! We LOVE ours!

Almost every weekend in this RV is like a mini vacation in it of itself-day picnic near ocean or near mountain-just park and enjoy nature anywhere in downtown or away from cities! It’s a hobby for me to keep it mechanically and impeccably clean. Never smoked in, no pets and I’ve owned it for over four years and have improved it. All the appliances still work without any problems. The craftmanship is the best, I can recommend without any hesitation.

The 2020 Pleasure Way Plateau TS was our first RV, and it has met and, in many ways, exceeded our expectations. We love the Class B footprint for its nimbleness and the ability to park it in both tight camping spots or regular-sized parking spaces. The Mercedes Sprinter platform has proven to be very reliable, as we have had no issues outside of regular service. The 2019 Sprinter cab upgrade provided very usable improvements, including USB-C connections, Apple Car Play, and (in our unit) a 7-inch infotainment display. Seating in the cab (thanks to Pleasure Way) is memory foam and is very comfortable over long distances, with good leg support for tall drivers (like me). Pleasure Way's buildout of the coach is top notch! Cabinetry is top quality and extra deep to hold a lot of gear. There is also plenty of storage in the rear under the sofa. That's where I keep my grill, leveling blocks, a Yeti Loadout Gear Case, the RV's power cable, tire inflater, and miscellaneous other items. The sofa/bed is one touch of a button to recline, and it is very comfortable. Lithium batteries (200 amp hours) are adequate for a few days off-grid if you are judicious with your electric use. If you drive even a little bit during the day (as we often do), then the batteries recharge quickly (or you can use the generator). There is plenty of room in the refrigerator for a week's worth of food, and the fridge "sips" propane, so a full tank will last a long time. Criticisms? The standard Winegard digital TV antenna is not very good for off-grid use (we usually download movies, etc. on an iPad in advance). Also, leveling using blocks can be challenging at times too. But I am nitpicking. All in all, this is a wonderful unit that has brought a sense of adventure into our travels. Love it!

I wanted something smaller, yet with a full bath/shower. The bathroom is as elegant in an R.V. that I've seen for one this length. Corian shower and backsplash. Nice high end finishes. (new these were about 130K.) It has milled maple cabinetry (and LOTS of them)....with corian counter tops. The vinyl floor is nice, and it looks like earth toned rustic tile, so it's not a floor that makes you crazy trying to keep it clean. The front T.V. and VCR are great. Usually if you run the A/C, you can't hear the T.V. worth a hoot, but the volume with this one is incredible! I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. The cream leatherette is butter soft and in wonderfully cared for condition for a 9 year old unit. This tells me that the fabric they used is again, of a high quality for what it is. It's easy to clean, although I keep covers on the front seats to protect them. Let's see, I haven't mentioned the engine yet. It's an E-350 Ford and it does great.....doesn't feel "under powered" like some of these can be. Overall this one gets a 5 star rating, because of how elegant the feel is inside. We aim the back windows toward the views, and the seating or bed make it amazing. It's like a million dollar room with a view on wheels! The roof windows allow so much light inside, but I keep custom cloth covers over them to mute the light a bit. It's nice to be able to have the best of both worlds. Loving this elegant R.V.!
