I have nothing but problems from day 1. Six water couplings had to be replaced. Radio had to be replaced. Winterizing pump had to be replaced. Patio door and 2 windows had to be replaced. Two cabinet doors fell apart. No glue. Fixed them myself. Doors not level, rubbing on one corner. Yellow putty marks all over the white ceiling. Now the toilet water won't stop running when flushed but I'm told that's my problem because my warranty is over. My first trailer didn't turn out to be a good experience. Will never buy another forest river trailer. Show less

The floor plan is great for our small family, however the quality of work is absolutely atrocious. Water lines not even hooked up, washer drain line not hooked up, roof leaks, shower leaks x3, hose connections not tightened etc etc etc. Just absolutely terrible workmanship. Show less

My puma 39dbt blew upside down with me in it, very unbalanced. Manufacturer will not compensate for rv replacement or injuries. If anyone can help me or post your experience please do. Show less

We purchased this rv to live in and two months later bought a house and it has been sitting ever since. Water tank has never had water in it and has a built in washer and dryer, fireplace and propane central heating. ##Stainless steel appliances and large refrigerator. 4 burner gas stove and stainless microwave. 2 bedrooms, two shower. We lived ii the rear bedroom so the front AC hardly got used. New tires it literally has about 20 miles on it. Moved to sunset shores from Demondtron RV to sunset and from there 5.5 miles to our home. Every now and then one of our kids would come over and stay the weekend. Have not had the water on or used any of the toilets with no place to dump black tanks. Has a 34" tv WiFi ready and It is basically brand new. Large electric awning 20', sliding door entrance and second entrance. It is a pull behind. With 12 VDC heating and lighting. Perfect for living in in a park. Show less

Lived in 2020 Palomino Puma for 2 years, sold it because moved. Fully skirted with foam board and plywood, which did a great job of stabilizing it. Handled freezing temps ok, but had pipes heat taped and dripped water when a hard freeze. Also shrink wrapped windows, was in windy area. Summer when hot had to sometimes use both ACs to keep cool. But I have loved the large kitchen, open floorplan, full sized appliances, washer/dryer, and windows. I did have the large slide reinforced due to a slight drip sometimes after rain. Recommend for home-feel living in a camper! Show less

This unit has a great layout. Too bad for issues. This park model unit has had many serious issues. Company does not give a darn . Customer service is non existing. Dealer not much better. Not my first new Puma. Never had issues Show less

Overall average RV. Every RV has problems. This was no better worse than others. Probably the biggest disappointment is the Dometic central AC went out the month after the Dometic warranty ended and even with review by a Dometic field agent, they would not assist us. If you are new to RV'ing, plan on making some repairs to this yourself, regardless of the brand you buy. RV warranty sucks. Show less

We did a lot of research before purchasing. We even saw all the negative reviews associated with Forest River Inc. After all the browsing and research we found the Palomino Puma 38rlb. The only available one, because they apparently sell so fast, was a 2021. First of all this destination trailer looks great from the outside for being an aluminum trailer. The graphics and flair moldings on the wheels are an eye catcher. The floor plans offered in these destination trailers are great at the prices they are sold at. Being one of the few offering 4 slide outs is a huge plus. However, let's just say that they should put a little more effort in trying to design a couple of them to extend maybe 4 inches more. The first issue we had was with the main AC unit. It was plugged in backwards. Contacted Puma and the dealer and told them how unacceptable this is for it to be sent to the dealer and leave the factory not being checked. There is also the issue of a lot of staples not being fully into the floor around the carpet. I had to hammer them all fully in. Another issue that seems to fall still on the lack of quality checks is things like trim and walls pulling apart.. From the lack of staples not being fully placed. There are quite a few areas such as access panels that could have actually been used as another source of storage, but after removing the panel you'll notice they used a large space for unnecessarily running walls up and then immediately into the adjacent wall also inside this panel.. Laziness. Another problem area falling on both the dealer and the manufacturer is the lack of cleaning. Inside one of the heater vents was a large pile of wood chippings from the initial drilling of the frame. You'll also find tons of tiny metal shavings all throughout the inside of the trailer. No oversight. I believe these trailers are great and really have a lot of potential, but there needs to be more QAQCS, a little adjustment to overall planning, and I would say adding things like enclosed underbelly or tinted/dual pane windows. Typically, a destination trailer is to be lived in for extended periods - you'd think that'd be the basis around every part of the manufacturing and selling of this product. Show less

I can't rate towing because i paid someone to tow. I bought the park model in january of 2019 because it has two bedrooms and one and half baths. I wish i'd done more research first. After one week it has begun falling apart. It was pretty but no substance. The window shades are falling apart and the bottom bar is the main issue, outside rain channels dont work, it is streaking badly, the mattresses are cheap and sunk in after a few days ( serta too), THE MAIN AC UNIT DOES NOT WORK and now waiting on another one ( brand new coleman mach) and i had to pay mobile tech to come out and diagnose it (more than 100) and will have to pay another $200 above what coleman covers >:( , the black water tank dump handles are not easily reachable (i have to get on knees and contort) but grey water tank handles are, clothes washer shakes whole trailer and cant get straight answer about if more blocks are needed where would they go? Screen door was put on by us and i had to spray lube to get it to slide good, the chairs that came with it have a cool feature for hiding small things but dent the floors if u get it off carpet, the moving straps on appliances are almost impossible to retrieve if u let them go, 2cd toliet area has no floor vent and insulation overall is limited. 2cd toliet area's mini ceiling vent was put on crooked, the steps are rusting already, in the front room the ceiling is separating froom the wall, the frame studs are not in good places for putting up any pictures, the door blinds are a crappy design in that they have already broken at the top where they overlap and the clips keep hanging up and they keep catching on the door track, the shower water pressure is non existent, outdoor lighting is nonexistent if u want to leave a light on if u go out u cant even see your keys to unlock much less the steps, when i asked dealer about problems they said too bad, i'd have to pay certified mobile tech first and submit to see if they felt like covering it, couch doesnt have storage even tho there is space, it's only been one month, so who knows what i will find next month. Pros - it's pretty, has slides with pretty framing, has one ceiling fan ( could be more), has two bedrooms, plenty of indoor lights, full size fridge and decent size stove and microwave, good storage for kitchen and clothes, i like the kitchen sink's faucet because itcomes out of holder and alternates between two spray choices, thermostat for ac and heat, love the electric fireplace, great for music and has cables for tv even tho short and wall piece fell off pulling on it, it does have holding tanks, did i say it was pretty? I work away from home and live in this trailer so it is my home away from home. We bought it used (2yr old) so we havent had much to do with factory/warranty support. The floor plan is THE BEST you can find for a family with children. The only thing its missing is a dishwasher haha. Ours has a washer dryer in it aswell as a 12 Ga. water heater which you can have a full shower in with out running out of hot water. Lots of inside storage, it pulls excellent for the size and weight. I use a one ton dually and I can tell it’s behind me with that being said Ive never had swaying problems pulling it. We would recommend this rv for anyone with kids that spends an extended amount of time rving, camping, living and looking for an rv. You wont regret it! Show less
