We've owned our 2024 Arctic Fox 25Y for just about one year. After camping in it for one quarter of the year, we have yet to experience any problem, yes, not one problem (knock on wood). Of course this is a heavy trailer, having 2" walls and lots of insulation. We thought it would be harder to tow. Sure, our truck has to work a bit harder to haul a heavier rig. However, the extra weight reduces how much the trailer moves and bounces while traveling on rougher roads. This reduced movement really seems to contribute to the trailer holding up really well after 90+ days and 8000 miles. The floor plan and features are well thought out work well. My only minor gripe would be the small and low quality TV. We swapped the original for a 43" 120v TV and it fits perfectly and is so much easier to watch. We were very pleasantly surprised how well insulated and quiet this trailer is. Compared to our 2022 Airstream ( not exactly apples to apples) this rig stay cooler longer and is noticeably quieter. Again, thicker walls and better insulation. Another item we love about this trailer is the large amount of exterior storage available. This has allowed us to carry more in the trailer and less in the tow vehicle. Overall, I am a big fan of the quality and features of Northwood products, contributing to how well they hold up and how comfortable they are. I wish RV manufacturers would stand behind their products longer. When spending more that twice the price of a car you should get a product that comes with one third of the warranty.

I bought this during the pandemic and it was hard to get this model (or any other for that matter). I wanted this particular unit for its size, floor plan, ability to go offroad and support for four-season camping (or at least the shoulder seasons). We happened to find this as a dealer that didn't realize they had it on their lot. There were a few things wrong from the beginning but the service was good in getting it road-ready. Additionally, i added a number of upgrades to extend its ability to stay off-grid. The trailer is great four 2-4 people. You can spend weeks in it with two.... four may get a bit cramped after a few days. Tank sizes, augmenting fresh water with jerry cans, allows me to stay out two weeks before I need to come in for a dump. This year's model has all aluminum frame so it pulls and handles well. There could be better quality in the windows and shades or cabinetry. It does seems to leave a little more pixie dust on the counters after pulling all day than my previous trailer but the previous trailer was not appropriate for getting out on BLM land or shoulder season so this was a good upgrade for the intended purpose.

Beautiful RV with a lot of floor space for our big dogs. Loved the arched roof and the 4 season capability. The layout was designed by someone who had spent a lot of time camping as it is very livable. A boondocking dream. The camper is very heavy we used a 1 ton dually to handle the load. Extra equipment is needed on the truck to manage the sway on uneven or crowned roads. Loved the big 2 way fridge and all of the electrical and power stations. The Onan generator is loud and some newer models have replaced with a quieter model.

Bought the unit new in 2017. Overall decent quality except for the manufacturer missing about 2 inches of seal in the corner of the slide. Water was infiltrating slowly into the corner of the slide from day one resulting in rotting the corner. We had to have the slide totally rebuilt at a cost of over $8000 CAD. Also it always towed like a pig. Very unstable, crappy factory tires and no shocks. On the positive, we were able to camp at -25C with no problem with the water not freezing anywhere.

I have had many RVs. Very high-end models. This Nash 24B is one of the best coaches I’ve ever had. Combined with an off-road chassis, large solar panel, generator, large propane tanks and incredible storage inside and out coupled with top-of-the-line, solid wood cabinetry. Most every RV travel trailer and fifth wheel are” earthquakes on wheels” . This requires you to tighten up and re-screw things on a regular basis. Because of the chassis with leaf Springs and shocks, we’ve never had to do this. The floor plan is well thought out. Separate bedroom, dining table, conversion, and bunkbeds. Make this Coach very comfortable for six people. The cabinet space and counter space are better than any coach I have ever seen for a 24 foot model. The slide out is 4 foot deep making it very big and comfortable to full-time. It’s a Boondock model. We can Boondock for 10 days lavishly without having to go back to the store. Major Glamping. Very sophisticated model built in Washington. We traveled from Florida 3500 miles to acquire this. I don’t know of any other full-time RV that you can rock crawl down riverbeds to your destination, other than with this coach.

The slide out in the living room dining room area makes working n the kitchen comfortable. underneath a queen size bed you will find plenty of storage for things that you will need to take along on your trip. This RV has great insulation, which helps with heating and cooling. Equipped with an RV airflow system helps in keeping the air conditioner distributing air, evenly and efficiently.

Looking at the specs, the Northwood Nash 17K seemed the best for our 3-season use. We bought a new 2022 one, after it sat more than a year on the dealer lot. It came stripped from some parts, apparently used to retrofit other trailers. Many manuals were missing. Electrical: 0 out of 5 Trouble since first night, as the Jensen DVD/radio LCD was brightly shining over the bed, even when switched off. The solar controller, Zamp ZS30-A, also installed above the bed, flashes for several minutes at sunrise, not a bug, just a poorly chosen location for placing it. Do Northwood Nash ‘Engineers’ ever sleep in their developments? The 75Ah deep cycle group 24 battery discharges completely overnight, after full charge, even when everything is disconnected. Seems this trailer features many ‘dormant’ loads like detectors, radio, antenna, 2-way fridge. A single battery is not enough for this “Off The Grid” trailer. …The ‘generator box’ is small, meant only for an Onan 2.5k. Unnecessary number of bright LED lamps (6 in + 6 out) for a small trailer. Plumbing: 3 out of 5 It is hard to find where the taps for winterizing are located with the manual, written for all Nash trailers, 5th wheels and campers, not just ours. After some spelunking, we found the antifreeze tube hidden under the fridge, and that a drawer needs to be removed to access it. We did not experience other issues, beside the blinking lights when the pump is running. Furniture: 3 out of 5. Quite some sawdust dropped from the furniture as we travelled. Over torqued screws went loose and were replaced by larger ones. The edges on the hardwood shelving by the bed were very sharp, and needed sanding to avoid injuries. Not so well crafted… The thick spring mattress too wobbly, unpleasant as it is not a walk around bed. Construction: 2 out of 5 There are rust bubbles on the A-frame, as the thin painting was done without adequate prep. As the door got wobbly, it started to show a half inch gap without insulation between the door and the wall. The door polyester shows 3” bubbles – delamination outside and inside. Another gap blows cold on the side of the bed. The bug meshes for windows are not built ‘square’ and do not fit. The ‘generator box’ is not airtight with the cabin, we patched the gaps inside to avoid smells coming from the jerrycan stored in it. The power jack rated for 3500lb max, as this trailer is 7400lb loaded (the jack needs also to lift the rear of the tow vehicle for easier fitting the WDH). Floor plan 3 out of 5 For 4 seasons use, we do not want a slide out, and the Nash 17k is one of the few insulated trailers without slide. After several weeks of use, we find the bathroom rather wide and would have instead preferred a somewhat larger passage by the range. The storages under the beds are difficult to access, with the heavy/thick mattresses. Appliances and others: 4 out of 5 The fridge is only a two-way not a three-way, contrary to what is stated in the manual. The fridge doors are not level, need adjustment. BTW Nice to have ample propane tanks. Furnace is OK, even its control by the tiny thermostat is not practical.
