This is or second RV. We bought our 1st RV because we had an older dog we would not leave or board. So we decided to take a 2 day trip and take Hershey with us. The 1st RV was a gas burner and an inexpensive way to start but we found we loved the camping experience. After 2 years that RV began to delam in the walls and we knew we must trade. We knew we wanted a bigger shower and a more heavy RV. The gas burner bumped and road walked as it road so we chose a diesel. Our RV building had a 12 ft door opening so we needed an RV under 12 ft tall. We found this National Tropical and we loved it from the start. The shower was big and the water flow excellent. The cabinets were well built and was very stable on the road. Everything about this RV was so much nicer than we had experienced before. It was consistent and we had and still have confidence in this RV. We had a couple in our town sell their RV as he felt he no longer could drive. We decided to look at it as my husband had eye surgery and this RV had side cameras to help our senior self. We just put our items in the 3rd RV last week and I can tell you a couple of things I will miss from this National RV we have for sale. This RV has a cupboard of sorts by the refrigerator. It has about 5-6 pull out baskets that are wonderful for the foods. It also has a linen closet for towels and blankets and extra pillows. Our 3rd doesn't have either of these features and I miss them already. The slides work perfectly but if you part somewhere and do not want to put the out you can still walk the entire way from front to back easily. In the 3rd RV we bought we can not. So as far as floor plan and comfort this National tropical is excellent. We have really enjoyed this RV and we hope someone else will love it as much as we do.

This trailer travels down the road to like a feather in your pocket with the independence suspension. When you get to the campsite you pull in unhook pull the slide out and be comfortable inside your four season trailer . Plenty of room inside to stretch out and relax for the night. Get ready for the next day. Turn the air on, open the fridge. Pull out a cold one , but be careful The air conditioners can get a chili. When it gets hot outside it stays nice and cool inside if it's cold. Outside stays nice and warm inside. The storage compartment is adequate and fit a quite a bit. When you have guests staying the night, pull out the new sleeper they have a comfortable stay for the night. When you want to cook you got a convection oven plus gas oven plus a three burner stove. When you carry your pew pew you can put them behind the TV out of sight or put a new safe. Going to do some updates. Updates would be minimum. I just changing the gold to chrome in a few other things and then you have a brand new coach

"I am extremely pleased with the performance of the 2001 National RV M-9400 (330hp). The handling on the road is exceptional, providing a smooth and comfortable driving experience. Setting up and hooking up at any RV park is a breeze, thanks to its user-friendly design. One standout feature is the captain's chair, which truly enhances the driving experience. Even during long hours on the road, the captain's chair ensures a smooth and comfortable journey. It's a great relief to have such a supportive and comfortable seat. The inside shower of this RV is equipped with privacy pullout dividers, which offer a great deal of convenience. It allows for a private and relaxing shower experience, adding to the overall comfort of the trip. Another noteworthy feature is the inclusion of air bags, which significantly improve the driving experience. The RV's air bags provide extra comfort and contribute to a smoother ride, making long journeys more enjoyable. This model is packed with comfortable features, making it an excellent choice for a memorable vacation. I have had a fantastic time so far, and I highly recommend this model to anyone looking for a remarkable RV experience."

Bought this RV in 2015 and still absolutely love it! We have gone to multiple RV shows and still come away knowing we have a higher quality motorhome than anything being offered now. National was an outstanding manufacturer! We will keep this motorhome as long as possible. Have replaced roof and other repairs but, it is well worth it! Tows our 5,000 lb jeep without an issue. Chevy 454 engine purrs like a kitten. All components still work (fridge, fantastic fan, generator, water heater, furnace, A/C units, etc.) Could not be happier and, if we ever HAVE to get rid of it, we will likely be looking for another National. Too bad they are no longer in business. Rumor has it, they refused to make cheap products to compete in the market. I believe that.

The reason for the 1 star is that it is out of warranty and we didn't own it when it was in warranty. It is a great warm weather unit. The floor is cold in cold weather. All appliances, including AC, are good quality as is everything about the interior and exterior. We never did tow with it. The original tow hook up is a 6 pin, and I understand now that tow units are 7 pin. It's a big box, so strong cross winds affect the handling, but in reasonable wind, it handles easily. This model does not have a pull out making it convenient primarily to 2 people and a small cat or dog. The amount of interior and basement storage is more than adequate for allowable weight limit. The hole for the dump tube needs to be modified to get the tube out the bottom of the service compartment.
