Owned the 2000 Monaco Dynasty Regent 40' Double Slide for 9 years (have previously owned a '98 Dynasty (no slide) also. Love the chassis for its 8 air bag driving habits and tremendous basement storage. The Cummins ISC 350hp is a great fit with the Allison transmission which matters as most trips require us climbing out of the Phoenix Valley typically north towards Flagstaff. The best part of the coach is just that, the coach works beautiful interior that features solid cherry wood cabinetry, plenty of windows and living space. The quality of the coach is why we have owned two Dynasty motorhomes. Also a fan of the full body paint, 1 piece windshield the fantastic capacity it has, from a 10K hitch to the 100 gallons of fresh water we can carry and a huge 110+ gallon fuel cell. The ability to be completely self contained is a huge plus if you want to avoid crowds which is easy with a diesel generator, gas furnace & cooktop AND a three way fridge so that you can truly be off the grid. Minor complaints are very few, wish the TV was mounted in the center, the ladder to get to the roof is about a foot to high for a short guy like me and it has an odd placement for the inverter controls -- extremely minor items. This coach has served us mostly on 1-3 week trips across the West but could easily be a full time rig (have experience with living in the prior Dynasty for 2 years). Would highly recommend this generation and model of Monaco Dynasty. If maintained they have many years of service ahead of them. Show less

Monaco has always in my opinion, been one of the leaders in RV’s for overall quality, workmanship, support, and bang for the buck. My experience with the Dynasty 42 Diamond IV has been very enjoyable, both from a driving standpoint as well as a functional standpoint. The coach is such high quality that you don’t have to deal with all of the constant annoyances that are present in lower price, lower quality units. The drivability of the cushion air ride chassis and suspension make it fun and easy to take this large coach with tow vehicle anywhere you want to go with confidence. The customer support from Monaco is always there when needed, everything from locating dealers to troubleshooting, so you’re never alone. As I said earlier, it’s just more bang for the buck, which is more important now than ever. Show less

This RV has been a pleasure to own. It's not only stunning from the outside but it flows into the inside. I call this my on-road condo. The amenities are in abundance. I have always had it service and maintained. I have recently had a complete service on it. Drives like a dream. Show less

Recently test drove a Dynasty 42'2005 diesel motorhome and loved it.The ride was amazing not to mention the beauty.I am disabled and can never see myself being able to afford it but what a thrill. If I had the 94,000 it would be on the road with my wife and myself.Enjoy guys you are only here a short time. Show less

We traveled across many months of highway in our Monaco, we have wintered in the south several years staying for several months very comfortably. The solid quality in workmanship in this rig is hard to beat. The solid wood oak trim is beautiful, none of that plastic fake trim. It has 4 slides that when open give so much floor space, it was comfortable to entertain guests and on occasion include extra family members to join us on vacations. There is more than enough room comfortably move through the coach when all sides are pulled in for highway travel. The central vac system makes cleaning so easy and convenient, having washer and dryer on board was essential at times on the road when there were no laundrymats in remote locations. But most important, riding the roads, weather it was highways, back country roads, or city expressways, this motorhome handles with easy, smooth ride, quiet. Even tight spots were easier to navigate than our other class B+ motorhome. The water system is outstanding, always enough hot water, great filtration system to make our water system safe. Even in cold weather, this aqua hot heating system kept us warm and the floors comfortable. The storage space in this motorhome is plentiful, we had enough room to store several seasons of clothing to take with us, every essential living supplies that we would need and not have to stop very often to replenish. There is so much storage space that we never even used all of the cupboards or underneath bins. The diesel engine has fabulous power, going through mountains, major highways, or anything we faced, we never worried that we couldn't handle the grade even with a tow vehicle. The large fuel tanks allowed for longer road travel times without the need to stop for refueling. The airbag leveling system made it a breeze to set up camp even in the most uneven campsite locations. Also the airbag system provides the smoothest ride going down the highway, it feels almost as if you are sitting in your easy chair in your living room. The video camera system allows the driver to keep a close eye on the traffic on both sides of the motorhome as well in the rear that allows safe lane changes as well as ease in parking and backing up. All of the windows provides great lighting as well as optimal views of the country as you travel the country and when you are stationary, you have plenty of light, fresh air windows and ceiling vent fans to keep comfortable and enjoy the whole RV experience. The master bedroom with the queen size bed has bedside windows to provide fresh air as well as to be able to safely keep an eye on what is going on outside around your rig along with the bedside security camera monitor that you can view all sides of the motorhome without having to go outside to check on anything questionable when you are in an unfamiliar location. The power window shade provide protection for your vision from the sun when it gets to a level that is in your eyes to provide better driving ability. The motorized entry steps provide easy entry and exit along with the lighted handrails both inside the motorhome and one light handrail on the outside. Makes it easy to find your grab bars in the dark for safety. So, as much as we absolutely love our motorhome, We hate to give her up, we are at a time for a new phase in life which predicts less travel time for us. It is time to let another family enjoy this beautiful rig and all of the experiences that come with comfortable travel to see this beautiful country of ours. She has many, many more miles to go and lots of power. This chassis and engine will outlast and outrun and get you to every destination of your dreams that you can go by highway or back roads. Best built and driving rv I have owned. Sticks to the road and is built like a tank. Had a Dutchstar before this and it was nice but did not drive near as well. Tag axle is a major upgrade. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this coach to anyone. Show less

Most of my friends have one of the three: Marathon, Newell, KingAire. We all travel a lot and tow a lot of weight including myself that has a hydrolift carrying a Honda Goldwing, a pickup truck and a rzr on the back. Over the last three years, all of them have had serious issues with their motorhomes and I have virtually had nothing wrong. I didn't go up hills as fast as them but I always made it at 45 mph! We all have all the same amenities but I do not have everything power. I feel it is ok to open the shades by hand rather than electric! If I were in the market for another motorhome, I would surely think about getting one that doesn't have quite so many electronics like the new ones. Show less

The Dynasty has always been the leader of all luxury coach's sold by Monaco. With it style that is not over the top but luxurious to say the least. With it's 10 air bag system and wide placement of the airbags the ride is fantastic! The lift able tag axel provides added stabilization plus added cargo carrying Capacity (CCC). The 400 ISL Cummins has all the power you need to tackle those mountains out west as you travel. When your done for the day the comforts inside will make you feel at home. We have been to the mountains, the beaches, and the desert with no complaints. Many updates to this coach to make it even better! Now it's your turn to enjoy your life in this Dynasty! Show less

This motorhome is like driving on a cloud but with positive steering response. With a 7,064LBS cargo carrying capacity, you can take all your toys with you. We have taken this to the beach, the mountains the desert and in the coldest weather and have been always comfortable in our queen bed. This is totally a remarkable unit! Show less
