It’s all warranty, however it’s been at the dealer for a month, long story short I bought a brand new camper that was not usable they took my money and sent me out with a POS .So here I sit with no camper waiting for them to fix their problems I’ll never buy another Lance ever again.
Screw me once, shame on you.
Screw me twice shame on me.

I bought this camper from a friend who bought it new. My wife has decided that she doesn't like camping. Sadly, I have to sell it. I am going to miss it. It is completely self-contained and ready to go. I have slept in it comfortably at 20 degrees. It holds enough battery and propane to run the furnace all night in these conditions with plenty of propane left over and the battery only half gone. It is fully functional and ready to go with dishes, pots and pans, bedding, etc. It does require a full 8ft. truck bed. It requires a 3/4 ton or better pickup. We used the window in front to connect with the back window in the pickup. We have a crew cab pickup, so our three dogs could come and go through the window, making it possible for them to sleep in the cab of the truck. Big advantages, no registration in my state, no tires to wear out. Goes anywhere the truck will go. Fully functional on the road. Access to bathroom, kitchen, etc without any slideouts to get in the way. You will have lots of fun in this camper.

I believe this holds true for all campers that have automatic features and are boondocking. The automatic features do not work unless you are plugged in because every one of them will drain your battery. Especially problematic is the automatic battery disconnect. You're much better off with a generator and a charger if the truck batteries go dead. Automatic disconnect engages at 12.8v. In the summertime it is fine. However, in the winter when there is no sun it never reconnects. So if you get up in the morning and drive, the camper batteries never charge because the automatic reconnect will not engage until the 12.8v threshold is reached. This has caused me so many problems trying to figure out why I could not keep a charge in my camper batteries, during low sun. Also the radio stays on all the time so you have to unplug it from the back of the radio because the wiring is connected into other things. The refrigerator automatic will make sure that your battery is run down to 0v if there's no sun even when you're driving. So when all the automatics are disconnected it's fine. I wish there was some way to bypass that automatic disconnect. All of the automatic features are a pain in the winter. It's best to never use any automatic feature.

The cookstove, sink and microwave are like new. It’s one of the only campers that fits a 6’ bed and still has a bathroom with toilet and shower. At 1768lbs it is doable with a 1/2 ton truck. I put airbag suspension on my Ford F150 for added stability.

My wife and myself had bought the Truck Camper one year ago separately and put it together with a lot of investment and extras.
We started our fulltime year-long trip heading north all the way to BC and back to AZ.
The Camper kept us worm in the winter time and during the summer we hardly used the AC. We preferred to stay dispersed rather than an RV park. We were surprised to see how roomy and cozy was the camper consider it size without heavy slide outs with comfortable wide sleeping area. Parking in public lots, shopping areas was easy to maneuver and would fit regular spots. We kept it light and the truck did extremely well.
The truck is a 2012 Ford 250 XLT, crew cab, super duty diesel 6.7 power stroke. The truck is well maintained and carried us with ease. I did have to invest in new shocks, brakes, sway bars and air bags. The sway bar was a very effective in deed.
We are now concluded our memorable trip and waiting to sell our TC till next time. .

LANCE Camper customer service and Warranty support is a joke. I will never recommend anyone buy a LANCE Camper. The Heki Midi hatch openings are GARBAGE. My Heki Midi hinge - which is made entirely of plastic - broke while parked in my driveway during a wintery windstorm. This is a defect in design by the factory for using a plastic hinge that could not stand up to a very normal winter storm. Also turns out the Keki Midi is completely unavailable and cannot be replaced. Lance will not talk to me about warranty repair of the unit. The customer service dept is completely ignoring my cries for help to fix their flawed design.
Buyers Beware - Lance offers no support and in my opinion is not honoring the 10-year warranty they claim covers my camper. They offer no service, solutions or help. If you want customer service, look elsewhere - Lance Campers only wants to make a sale - not take care of the customer afterwards.

It’s 4 season so it will handle anything and everything you throw at it, and that’s including hot weather. It’s super insulated. We traveled with 3 people and 2 dogs, and it was the best time ever. I’ve seen plenty of other truck campers, but not many are this level of quality and durability.
