We chose this KZ Escape due to it's open floorplan. Two years later we are still discovering issues since buying it brand new in 2022. Plumbing around toilet and water tank had to be tightened to avoid leaking the first week. All window shades had to be reattached due to poor installation. The slide out has had multiple retraction issues. The motors have to be overridden and the slide out manually pushed in/out. In addition it was discovered that a manufacturers shop rag had been left in the seal on top of the slide causing the slide to leak when it rains. Just this week (March 2024) we wondered why the dining table looked warped. Turns out the adhesive used to cover the table with "wallpaper" has failed. The entire table wallpaper comes off now. Let's not forget last year when the family was out of town except one. He just happened to go outside and saw that the battery had caught fire. Thankfully he was able to remove the propane tank before it exploded causing the rv to burn to the ground. This is just a small list of issues on top of the lack of customer service on every end concerning our RV. WE WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER KZ RV.

Not what we expected. We purchased it from the first owners. They only used it one summer. We are experiencing problems with the front end bunk leaking at the springs. Also condensation builds up under the mattress of the bunk. Cushions in the seats and couch are very cheap and not wearing good. The cupboard doors are very cheap. They are coming apart at the joins. The censors for the tanks are not working properly. (That we could live with). It has not been a good experience for us coming back into camping after a twenty year break.

Bought used in 2017. The dealer didn’t reveal major dry rot in the front right corner, which we had repaired. Also replaced subfloor in the storage area. There was a leak in the seam where the roof connected to the front piece, though not a surprise because it was 17 years old. Despite that, it is an excellent trailer. It is much better built than the Fleetwood Terry 17’ hybrid trailer we had before it. For example, the KZ has real wood supports under the seats whereas the Fleetwood had particle board supports (which cracked). The plywood on the benches is twice as thick in the KZ. We’ve made a lot of upgrades because it’s a well-built trailer. All the seams outside the Fleetwood (fiberglass siding) had to be recaulked, but the KZ’s seams (aluminum siding) are fine. I don’t know how the newer ones are, but we are very happy with the quality of our 2000 KZ Coyote. The tent ends (which make it a hybrid) are still in great shape after 21 years.
