Purchase my Jayco from Traveland Leisure Vehicles in Langley British Columbia Canada. This was my first time purchasing an RV. Recognised it was a lower end RV but didn't expect how poor a unit it is. Layout is fine for wife and I, or even with my grandkids. First issue we had after two 3 day weekend uses, was that the mattress fell apart. Completely burst open in multiple areas. Traveland did get me a new mattress and offered a brand new mattress topper. The finishing and quirkiness of the Jayco is awful. Shelving held up with one screw, and not level. Screws holding retractable screens on windows falling out as only threaded through 1/8" plywood. No 'stud' behind the flat surface. I have left the worst to last. The electrical is so temperamental. Five of the six flush ceiling lights do not work when slider is out!! All work fine when closed. One window in particular does not lock properly, I easily made my way into the RV when I accidently locked myself out!. Would never buy a Jayco again.

Brand new unit fresh off the dealer lot (Bill Plemmons in WS, NC) the fresh water holding tank came loose while driving down the highway and the only thing that kept it from falling out and hitting someones vehicle was it rested on the axle housing and underbelly cover. Appeared as if the hardware had never been tightened as both mounting straps were also laying loose. This could have been a very, very bad (if not fatal) situation. All three doors must be slammed in order for them to shut and latch. Wife has to use both hands to get them unlatched. We mentioned this problem while it was still at the dealer but they shrugged it off as a leveling issue but the problem remained during our first camping trip even after we maliciously leveled the camper. You can only imagine how embarrassing it is to slam doors several times when camping in a peaceful campground. While in for repairs a person in the service shop said they are seeing more and more of these types of workmanship and cheap design issues straight from the factory. Dealer really didn't seem too apologetic for the inconvenience and near death experience that resulted due to the holding tank problem. They did offer to pay for one night of reserved camping that we had to cancel. After this experience and reading similar reviews of loose holding tank problems, I don't recommend Jayco products.

I would never buy a jayco rv again. Two weeks after purchase from rangitsch brothers in Missoula Mt, the rv went back to the shop with molding, trim falling off, heater not blowing hot air, fridge defective as a refurbished and still not working, dinnete was built backwards, stairs with rust, black tank defective, shower stall warped, glacier package is not up to par, underbelly falling apart, bathroom sinks made of thinnest plastic. These rv manufacturing companies need to be sued for putting non workable rvs on the market and selling as new. They don't even have inspecting reports on each rv from dealer or manufacturing saying they are worth selling. We need laws to put this fraud and lemons on the market.

Do not buy! This trailer was ordered in late 2021 and received in February of 2022. During the walk through we found that the entry door was warped and would not latch. The manager told us that he would order a new door and he would contact us when the door was ready to be installed. This took another 5 months because he forgot to order it. When the door finally arrived and we were asked to bring the trailer back to the dealer to have the door replaced, they kept it for another 3 weeks. It was supposed to be ready in 3 days. When we were getting ready to use it for the first time, we discovered that the water tank was not strapped down and was resting on all the sensing wires, the wiring was faulty and outlets did not work. The bathroom door does not close and latch, various screws are stripped, the refrigerator did not work due to poor wiring, there is a floating wooden fender cover under the slide-out, which is not secured. On our third trip using the trailer, the awning began to roll out while driving. We had to pull over and manually roll the awning back in and hold it with bungie cords for the duration of our trip. The awning motor spins but will not retract the awning. There are staples on the walls and ceiling covered with drywall spackle, which does not match the paint, unpainted trim, and torn netting covering one of the shelves. These items were brought to the attention of the manager when the entry door was being replaced, and he promised that all concerns would be addressed. They were not, but we were now halfway into our summer and wanted to use our camper, as is, rather than wait another 5 months+ for additional repairs. We bought a lemon!

Bought it in February. Last night when I went into the camper it was 73 degrees and the thermostat was set to 72 and the AC was not running. The front bedroom was much hotter. I moved the thermostat to 71 degrees. Still no AC running. I set it back to 72 and turned the fan to high to hopefully equalize the temperature and went to sleep. Several hours later I woke up and it was 67.5 degrees in the camper with the AC running full blast. This morning it was 65 degrees in the camper before I turned the AC off. I later turned it back on and it appeared to run correctly. When I returned to the camper about 4 pm this after noon, the AC was running and it was 84 degrees in the camper. WTF? This afternoon my wife and daughter were trapped in the camper. Apparently when the screen door was attached, some certified employee put too many uggaduggas on the impact driver when installing the screen door and stripped out ALL of the screws attaching the screen door to the camper. It just kind of flops in the breeze and doesn't work as advertised. Factory Warranty / Support was not available today when their product failed miserably.

We just thoroughly enjoyed the time spent in this rig.

The 171BH hits on so many levels it is a bit crazy. I have had for nearly a year. Livability: Ofcourse if you are comparing this to a slide out double bunk 26’ trailer it would be 3 stars, but it should be rated on its class, not something it’s not. So, in the no slide bunkhouse class, it is very good. The bed is 54x80 ( Jayco website is STILL wrong), so being 6’4”, I fit! The dinette fits an adult and child on each side, BUT don’t forget the ottomans. Someone can easily sit on the end on an ottoman. The bathroom is the best bathroom you will see in this class. Kitchen has all full size appliances, which is nice, but they should just do a 2 burner if not doing an oven. I installed a countertop extension on mine. Overall Quality: compared to my brand new truck? 2-3 stars. Compared to every other trailer I walked and have continued to walk through? 5 stars. Yes I did a 4 hour PDI and found stuff falling off or not screwed in well. Yes, I got it home and re-caulked the whole trailer. Yes, I even had to re-wire the solar under the roof Jack. Even given that, the fit and finish of the Micro line is so far ahead of anything in its class (note I have not been in an Ember). My wife and I both just went out to wonder through trailers and came back to ours and both dealt so glad we bought the Jayco Micro. The things I will never buy another trailer without: roof rack, movable ladder, storage door (bunk storage), Azdel. Floor Plan: Nearly perfect. I would prefer the kitchen and dinette swapped, but this trailer is basically a large elite trailer squeezed down into what would typically be a stick and tin trailer. The amount of features (especially storage) is ridiculous. Has max fan in main AND bath fan. The biggest feature is storage: over the bed, over the dinette, the ottomans (heavy food storage!), kitchen drawers, bathroom (!), and the flip up bunk storage with outside door. I fit an insane amount back there. Driving/Towing: Awesome E rated tires and towed great. Ofcourse at 5k lbs and my truck able to tow 9k, it is easy and great. Factory/Warranty: I have a great dealer in WA (Valley RV SuperCenter), so have not had any factory issues. If you have questions, you can reach me on the Jayco Owners Forum under the handle JayLo.

This is the second travel trailer I’ve owned. I purchased it new and I liked some features that match up with my off grid style of camping. It has high ground clearance, so far a good solar package , it towed fairly well from Florida to Wyoming using a WDH . Unfortunately on its first long maiden voyage the 12 volt 8 cfb refrigerator went out after only owning it for 2 months. I was stoked about this 12 volt refrigerator however it ends up Furrion stinks! And Jayco stinks even worse . They dispatched a mobile tech to me .. made me pay for it and then refused to authorize the replacement part to be shipped to the tech. I ended up paying for the part to be shipped and it failed to solve the problem. Furrion had no solution for any other repairs but to ship a new refrigerator and I said I did not want it . When I did that Jayco screwed me out of my out of pocket expenses over $750 because I said I was going to purchase a Dometic instead . Total unwillingness by Jayco to concede anything. They are terrible!
