Considered an Airstream. Upon closer inspection found they don’t have enough headroom, two people can’t easil navigate interior, especially walk throughs, and they shouldn’t be taken off of a paved road due to clearance and vibrating/shaking issues. Pretty much nixed it for us as we also do mountain/forest campgrounds.
The Terra Rover was the perfect match for us. Ample road clearance, all aluminum integrated chassis, basement and cage frame to handle off road vibration and shaking. Lots of elbow room throughout, and a lot of windows side, rear, and large front panoramic window. Plenty interior height for taller people. The ‘tilt forward’ design, a throwback to the large travel trailer designs of the 1950’s/60’s, really does add interior cubic space.
The trailer trails very nicely, has low wind resistance, is very travel stable, and doesn’t have any damn slide-outs to have to wrangle with. Though not a true 4-season rig, it has tank and water line heaters with tanks enclosed in the chassis aluminum basement.
A high end luxury trailer like this one is remarkably priced with many amenities, luxury points, and quality features that match or exceed those of Airstreams costing much more. Build quality throughout is high end and top notch.
