We have owned this RV since new and the 1st thing I had to do was mouse proof it by spraying foam in the opening underneath and then had to add a door in the storage area to get access to the water pump. When I cut to add a door I saw just how well hidden the poor workmanship was as saw dust left behind and hacked out hole on most of the places where line past through. Knowing the steep asking price you would think they would pay a little more wage to hire a staff that cares.
Never did talk to the factory about warranty just had to go back the dealer for a manual back-up front jack access hole and to replace the sound system that the speaker never did work right or sound good as far as clarity.
From my experience and reading reviews on the workmanship of the cougars and although the floor plans did almost sell us we decided to stay away from them.

There are numerous custom touches - the owner was clearly a great handyman and justifiably proud of his work. At $17,000 the unit is a bargain which is obvious when compared to comparable models. I was ready to buy this but found a 5th wheel that was nowhere near as attractive but suitable for my needs and closer to where I live.

All RV's are like a second home, but this one makes that comparison much better because it has amenities such as residential cabinetry in solid oak and the whole thing just feels sturdy. And the floor plan gives it a much larger feel than a cramped rig. Once the slides are opened up this is like a small apartment, from the large pass through basement to the solid cabinets to having a washer and dryer built right into it.
Another thing to love is TWO gray tanks, one for the bath and one for the galley, so you can dry camp much longer. Add to this the 70 gallon fresh water tank and boon docking is much more comfortable than in most rigs.
This also has a generator room up front, fully armored for safety and silence. We use it for storage instead, but you do you.
Because of this 5th wheel I really consider Gulf Stream to be a fantastic brand. Everything about this thing is quality and doesn't feel like an RV, it feels like your second home.

Bathroom and shower is a good size and easy to use. Closet. In the bathroom is large enough, and had room to put in some portable shelves. Oven is a good size and cooks a good roast. Microwave is a good quality. Sink area is perfect and plenty of kitchen storage. Dining table is nice and standard. I removed the couch and replaced with a recliner for trailers...for more comfort. I love the bed up the steps.
A good choice!

We have had issues since buying this RV in April 2015. The slide out had a loose nail that damaged the floor in the kitchen. One sideout stopped working the motor had to be replaced. The A/C Unit went out in less than a year on. The lights in the camper have been fixed about 5 times because they start acting like strobe lights. The ice maker on the refrigerator was not properly hooked up and we could not get ice.. Now we have had to take it back because the roof started coming off the top while going down the road. I would never buy another Gulf Stream product.

Wipes on slides do not go out when slide is opened. Have to push them with stick to go out.
Gulfstream couldn’t tell me how to sanitize the potable water tank.
Numerous trim pieces had to be re-secured inside trailer.
Can’t adjust air flow to burner on stove, burns with yellow flame.
Ceiling fan/vent had water leaks. Trailer running lights on back had water leaks. One side window had a water leak. I had to caulk all of these places.
Found staples above refrigerator slide were scraping the roof on the slide, digging a groove in the roof material. Had dealer remove/cut staple ends.
Electric heating on hot water didn’t work, needed a thermostat.
Shower had numerous leaks around base.
Water leaks into basement from shower.
Laminate siding on bathroom door is pulling away from frame.
Venetian blind by kitchen sink had to be replaced.
Second slide scrapes across the linoleum.
Pin holding side support to steps fell out, shortly thereafter another different pin fell out.
Carpet edge is tearing away from carpet.
None of the waste tank indicators works correctly.
Dealer had to replace black tank, a 2 inch screw from the flooring was screwed into the tank.
Dealer’s repairman found shop towels in black tank after draining it.
Water safety electric outlet had to be replaced, lost one electric circuit until outlet was replaced.
Both sink faucets had to be replaced.
Awning and awning motor had to be replaced.
Found out nose insulation was not installed all the way to the roof. Bedroom got hot when sun shined on it. Reduced advertised R-14 insulation to R-1. Currently trying to get Gulfstream to fix this Manufacturing defect.
