The Triple E company who makes Leisure Travel Vans (LTV) is out of Canada and they make a superior product! They will still respond to our maintenance/repair questions 10 years later. Ours is a 2014 Unity model with the Twin Bed/King Bed floor plan. We love everything about it for 2 people. We have driven 35 and 40 foot Class A's motor homes and I must tell you we don't need to take everything with us on our trips. If you are staying for a month or more, you may want a big Class A. Because we like to move from city to city and park to park and not staying over 2 days to 1 week, we love this smaller RV with a Bigger feel. The ease of getting into national parks for camping (27 foot limit in most parks), gas stations, grocery shopping and even parking on the streets is so much easier than the larger Class A's. The ease of driving on residential streets, cities and freeways makes this the ideal RV for our type of traveling. This LTV UTB has more storage inside the RV than other newer Class B+ makes. The outside basement storage is also impressive because LTV has put many of the holding tanks, propane tank etc under the chassis so they don't occupy the valuable storage compartments. this model does not have a slide-out or leveling jacks which helps to reduce your overall GVW and increases you cargo carrying capacity, plus less things to break down. It has a macerating flush toilet instead of a gravity toilet. I have never had a problem dumping my black tank with this type of toilet like I had with the gravity model. The bathroom and shower is divided across the hall from each other, each with their own doors and the shower door also opens fully to divide off the bedroom from the rest of the RV for sleeping, dressing etc. It has a 600 watt inverter which is slightly under powered for modern appliances, but don't really use inverted power, but I guess if you have a CPAP machine it would help. We rely on the 12v house battery for lighting, furnace, water pump, fans etc. The house batteries are recharged by the 100 watt solar panel/inverter, the engine alternator, shore power battery charger or the generator. We use shore power or the LPG Generator for things like the microwave or air conditioning and Propane for the absorption refrigerator, which works really well! The 6 cylinder Bluetec Turbo Diesel has plenty of power, fully loaded going up passes, it is great along with the 5 speed transmission, its a pleasure to drive. My wife has no fear driving this rv. Not too many negatives except if you want to camp with 6 people.

Size and drive ability is superior. Floorplan and storage is superb. Workmanship, quality and durability of the unit and its components is the worst. Bought it brand new from dealer. During the 10 months I owned it, it was in the shop more than I had it out on the road for the following failures: Heater would not turn off due to staple in the wire during manufacture causing a short. End caps of the awning fell off on the road. Awning out of alignment due to lack of set screw at one end. Undercabinet dinette light did not work. Exterior storage compartment locks did not lock. Exterior rubber seal around bedroom slideout was tearing off. Backup and sideview cameras failed after 8 months. Front end alignment was out from day one. Passenger seat airbag sensor wiring was not connected or functioning. Cracked valve stem extensions on rear wheels causing tires to go flat frequently. Customer service at East to West was very difficult to work with and kept passing the alignment issue back to Ford. In the end it was East to West responsibility to recheck the front end alignment after the rv build. This unit was a horrible experience overall and I would never recommend East to West or Forest River products to anyone.

After four years of ownership and 50,000 miles of travel, I cannot say enough positive things about this van. The Mercedes platform and engine is just wonderful. It is super comfortable to drive for long distances and has very predictable handling, even in high cross wind situations. The 6-cylinder turbo diesel has ample power for highway speeds and hill climbing. The interior build quality is top grade as Leisure Travel Vans uses excellent components and thoughtfully and skillfully installs the cabinetry, plumbing and wiring. Some of the many design features that I really appreciate is there are no overhead cabinets above the driver and passenger seats, making it much easier to move from the driver’s area to the back of the van. I also appreciate how the integrated gray/black water dump tubing that tucks away hidden behind the driver’s side ground effects body skirt. When it is time to dump the tanks, the tubing just pulls out of the integrated container tube and stretches to the RV dump facility fitting. What may be a messy process with other RVs could not be cleaner or easier with the Free Spirit.

There is some quality issues such as inside drawers were not sanded and has splinters . Everything seems to work as it should. It is a solid class c with the features in this price point. If you are looking for a class C with a lot of Class A features, this is it. So far, we are Pleased with our unit.

DO NOT BUY FROM EAST TO WEST. Their customer service is non existant. I have reached out numerous times for information with zero response. The vehicle living cabin is extremely cheaply made with flimsy materials used for cabinets, furniture and electrical devices. I have regretted purchasing from this company almost immediately. Do yourself a favor and look at literally any other brand first. 3 starts for driveability because the truck is made by Ford and rides well. East to West didnt build the truck so zero credit to them.

I bought this RV new in Sep of this year, 2022. It is actually a 2023 model. Today is Nov 8th and after bringing it home a second time, the issues still exist on the RV side. Just a few things....a computer steering cluster module went out the second time driven. Crossroad Ford did an excellent job diagnosing and fixing, along with a faulty brake . booster. No ladder on the unit, the radio head unit is faulty and needs to be replaced, no call on the shower at all and worst of all, the RV continues to not recognize the parking brake and will not auto level or allow slide to operate. Closest dealer is over 3 hours away. Not a happy camper. In fact I've never even taken it camping as it has been in the shop pretty much from the week after I purchased.

I consider myself a Goldilocks of camping vehicles. I started with a teardrop, upgraded to a 34' Class C, and landed on the LTV Unity 24FX, and it is truly a perfect fit. It's a luxurious way to travel with just enough room, great flexibility, and easy maneuverability. Not only do I have the confidence that the chassis and engine are top of the line, I know the Leisure Travel Van reputation is exemplary. It's a higher priced unit, but quality and confidence aren't cheap. It's not a palace in a box (Class A), but has soft leather seats, a "real" luxury mattress, lots of little extras, and a bathroom and kitchen that actually function like home. In addition, the macerator makes managing the black and grey tanks a breeze. I love her!!!

This is a great rv made by a top line manufacturer. It drives great, 14mpg towing and 17mpg without a tow. It lives well, lots of daylight, very roomy feeling, large galley area, lots of convenient storage both inside and out. Truma,s Aqua Go water heater provides limitless hot water on demand with a circulation system that provides instant hot water eliminating the waste of waiting for hot water to arrive at the faucet. The AC system cools effectively and has a heat pump to use while plugged in to shore power saving your lap gas for when needed. The twin beds easily convert to a nice size queen for very comfortable sleeping. It has the peace of mind provided by being built on a Ford chassis. There’s over 3000Ford dealers across the country for whatever service might be needed. Compare that to about 300 Mercedes dealers many of which will not service their van products.
