This is an amazing rig. We purchased this because of the mid-bunkroom. This rig has a TON of storage space, in the living area, in the kitchen area, in the bedroom, underneath. The convection microwave is a huge plus. We’ve used the oven, but we all know RV ovens aren’t the best. The convection microwave works great. I've made biscuits and cookies, etc.. in it multiple times. Refrigerator has a ton of space. We’ve gone on 30 day trips in this rig and had no issues with any of the appliances. We upgraded the batteries because we keep it in a storage facility when not being used. We upgraded to a trickle charger for those batteries for the same reason. Show less

I knew nothing about RV's and less about towing one. This unit has impressive quality. The interior colors are walnut which we liked better than the new "pickled" white new unit have. We lived in it full time for a year. The floor plan gives the most room. The opposing slides open to make the kitchen, dining area and living area very open. The two heated/massage recliners are directly across from the televator TV. The unit has a RV refrigerator(18') so a little small but it can run on propane or electric (or solar). This makes a big difference when boondocking as you can use electric when the sun is charging the 6 100Ah batteries. Or save the batteries to run your AC's in the evening and put the fridge on propane. The park has "iffy" power the solar with compensate. The park only has 30 amp, no problem the solar will compensate. The "Nautilus" plumbing system is super user friendly and making switching between wet and dry camping (or just road days) easy. The lippert leveling system is also easy to use. And the instruction are on the side opening cargo door so you can actually read it without doing the limbo (think Montana). Fully loaded at 15,000 lbs this unit pulls great. All the extras help make it easy to tow with minimal bucking and sway. I pulled with a 2022 GMC 3500 Duramax Diesel (also for sale with purchase of RV) and climbed every hill with ease and the exhaust brake and towing systems controlled the load on the steepest downhills. 2020 Grand Design Solitude was perfect for our full-time living with kids. Large living room with 2 slide-outs and giant windows, large kitchen with island, 2 bedrooms (one fits a king size mattress) the other we converted to a bunk room, lots of storage, washer & dryer, large fresh water and gray tanks - all these made it comfortable for full time living and traveling. We got a nice solar setup and a generator and were able to boondock for over a week at a time. Lots of great memories! The 2020 model is also great because it is fairly new but still pre-pandemic so the quality is there. Show less

This is our second Grand Design Solitude. Our experience with Grand Design customer service after the sale has been fantastic. This is not the dealers unfortunately but we all know the dealer service departments leave a lot to be desired. Every RV has issues, in my book it is how the manufacture handles those issues. Grand Design has been top A++ We are getting ready to order our third Grand Design Solitude all due to the fantastic service we have received. We purchased our Solitude late last July 2023. It had several issues that needed repair. The Solitude was purchased new over 6 figures. After multiple phone calls, emails, and texts we finally picked up our Solitude on November 13, 2023. They didn’t clean the unit inside or outside. We plugged into shore power and everything seemed to be working great. One of the issues was the replacement of one refrigerator door and the freezer drawer. Upon leaving Oklahoma for Florida I discovered that the ice maker wouldn’t work. Upon investigation it had water in the reservoir but wouldn’t freeze. I also noticed that $200 worth of frozen beef had begun to thaw. The reason as I soon discovered was that the seals were missing on the two doors your company replaced. The level of incompetence you guys display just keeps on giving!  4 months of it now. The bed was never repaired. I’m not sure what was going on when you were making the repairs but the island has gouges and marks all over it. I’m guessing when whomever brought in the replacement recliners they did it. Russell (Service Advisor) is the only person I dealt with that showed any professionalism. He apologized for the delay many times. He was also extremely courteous. Nick (Sales Manager) also displayed a desire to help us. Alex made the sale and forgot about us, real nice! Jason (Service Manager) is worthless. He never made one followup call to advise us of any progress. Actually no one made any attempt to give us status updates. I had to demand to see him to get anything accomplished. In fact I had to show up in person because other forms of communication didn’t work. Again worthless. I will never do business with McClains again, ever. I’ve purchased two Grand Designs from your store. Thank goodness the Imagine never had any issues. Grand Design has a great product. So if you want to purchase one go out of state. Show less

I can't say enough about Grand Design. They really take care of their customers. The floorplan on this model is absolutely perfect for full-time living! Plenty of space and storage. We have everything with us and we still have empty cabinets! This until is very user friendly with plenty of manuals and online support! This is the perfect retirement unit for you! Full size kitchen with ample counter space and full size appliances. Master bedroom/bathroom screams luxury! Living room has theater seats with heat and massage, along with 2 queen size pull out beds. Easy to wipe clean vinyl flooring throughout. No carpet in here to keep allergens away. Central vacuum is the best! It has the 4-season package - no weather too hot or cold for this baby! Cozy, feel like home alongside the fireplace as you take in a picturesque view in the panoramic front window. Or, have your morning coffee sitting at your kitchen table with oversized windows for the perfect view of the morning sun. Two awnings will keep you shaded all day long. Convenient climate controlled basement is through and through making everything within reach. Show less

Just way too many problems with Grand Design RV Solitude 390RK-R 5th wheel to list. From nails popping through the linoleum on the floor to leaking roof. Grand Design knowing the kitchen slide outs never had rollers installed to properly carry to carry the weight still denied us twice to reimburse us to fix their mistakes. The local Grand Design dealer required full payment and told us to contact the company even with an assigned control number. Grand Design says our five slide-outs are not structural and are not covered by the three year structural warranty. I think Grand Design just denies all warranty claims. Having had to deal with how Grand Design treats their customers when the RV has a problem clearly makes our Worst mistake in our life was buying a Grand Design. They do not stand behind the product they sell. They find excuses not to do the right thing and pay to fix the problem. Be sure to warn your family and friends to look elsewhere if they are even remotely thinking of buying a RV. Their competition has built a RV that's shorter but has another 1,000 to 1,700 lbs of carrying cargo. A much better configuration. Shame on management to sit in elkhart Indiana and just not care. Grand Design is stealing $3,000 from me after their junk of a kitchen slide broke and I was issued a case number now they are reneging on reimbursing me for my expenses after being told they would cover my costs. The Frame is terrible as nails pop through the linoleum floors. I hate Grand Design and their customer service department. I would recommend you never buy a Grand Design product as one day they will burn you as they are burning me right now. Show less

We love this Rig,its just that health issues ,we are going back to brick and mortar. So we have to sell ,but i have done all the work on this rig as far as all maintenance up keep to packing bearing and anything else ,that may come up,nobody else has owned this rig but the wife and i okay,new west lake tires 14 ply this rig is ready to go its a west coast trailer also,very nice rig,give us a call today as it will go fast. 702-281-4136 Cindy/George Ps. Our rig is a little beauty to travel with. We went on a road trip on Southern United States for 5 months and it was a pleasure to live full time in it. If you want to feel safe while on the road, you have everything needed in your little dream house. Show less
