Grand Design Reflection 295RL reviews

I feel Grand Design is the best quality trailer on the market. Where other companies use particle board, Grand Design uses plywood. The quality is apparent when walking into a Grand Design vs any other brand in the same price range. I was really surprised by the “livability”. Truly, with this model you feel like you haven’t left home. The kitchen island is such a nice feature. It makes the kitchen design so user friendly, especially if you have people or pets in your trailer while you are trying to cook. The couch, theatre chairs, and big screen TV make it perfect for relaxing and entertaining. There’s so much space in the pantry, you rarely have to visit the store while you’re traveling. As far as driving and towing, it’s a very easy travel to tow. We use our Ford F150. None of my female friends will drive their trailer leaving their husbands to have to do all the driving. I not only drive, but can back up and park this trailer. The only complaint I have is the “support”. Happy Daze RV will keep your RV for half the year before they finally get around to addressing the issue. I hear that most of the dealerships are the same—very frustrating. Otherwise, the 295RL is super user friendly and a very well made, reliable trailer. Show less

Love the floor plan but disappointed with the quality. Not an inexpensive RV. Dealer paper work shows $82,000. I have only had it 2 weeks and found that Grand Design and the dealer missed at least 14 issues with RV. I know things happen and it’s at dealer now to be fixed. The most annoying issue I have is there were no propane connections on the outside of RV. I talked to support and I am told that there was a supply issue and there was a time when they shipped RVs without the quick connects on the RV. Ok, I get it but when I asked if they could send me the parts because no one expects to get to there camp site and find no propane connection. I was told they want give me the parts. So I contacted there part department and they can’t even tell me what parts I need. I have had 4 RVs and the last 2 were GD. Never had one without the connections for propane. Also never had one with this many issues. Issues I fix myself and issues deal will have to fix. 1. Theater seats were not screwed down and the 3 sections not even connected to each other. 2. Screws missing from bracket holding couch to floor 3. Bedroom door guide improperly installed 4. Kitchen island cabinet doors not latching 5. Counter top delaminating 6. 3 bolts loose on hitch 7. Toilet loose 8. Awning on slide was shutting of lights and control panel when extended Things still broken that dealer will have to fix. 1. Arc connection between TV and Jensen auto system not working. 2. Seal tape on top of slide is coming off in a few places. 3. Refrigerator door had a strange spot on it and needs replaced 4. Window latch on rear left if you were setting on couch has a latch that does not function. 5.Freezer cools but not refrigerator part 6. Shower wall bowing out.  7. TPMS does not work very well. Alerts are delayed. Unplugged a tire sensor to test and took like 20 minutes for an alert to arrive on phone. Not to mention the alerts will not be seen unless phone is unlocked. I will have to purchase a TPMS monitor display if i want it to alert me and be reliable. This is an issue that is all over user forums. Will probably just purchase the same one I let go with the grand design I just sold. 8. Rear blind needs help rolling up.Not enough spring tension Show less

I write this review in hopes that those looking at purchasing one have the information required to make the best purchase decision possible. They sell the 12volt fridge as a great option. They also sell that the solar panels are there to help keep your battery charged so your fridge will always be running. What they don't tell you is if you are an off grid camper the solar panels are not equiped to keep your fridge running. We have to run a generator otherwise our fridge dies. We even added a second battery and that didn't help. So if you are an offgrid camper, do not but a Grand Design with a 12 volt refrigerator. We were told by GD 'that's just the way it is'. Show less

We are the original owners, perfect for us. We towed it with our Ram 1500 and covered most of the Midwest with it. Easy operation-sets up fast for your enjoyment. I retired and want to upgrade our unit. Show less

Bought from a local dealer used but in like new condition. Two minor water leaks that I repaired myself. Dealers are inundated with repairs so the wait time is not worth it. I would rather fix things myself and learn from the experience. All in all I think Grand Design makes a great unit and would buy another one. Nothing is perfect but everything works as it should. We are very happy with Grand Design. Show less

I tried different RV's from class A to Travel Trailer we ended up purchasing The Grand Design reflection after doing a search for quality 5th wheels. we find it easy to drive easy to set up and roomie enough for us. thanks Marty Show less

210415. We just bought this brand new Grand Design Reflection 150 Series 5th wheel travel trailer. I kept feeling a draft, but thought it was my imagination. One day I opened a drawer on the wall opposite the bathroom, and I could see right into the underbelly. I went outside and opened an underbelly door and there is a partition, but along the top of the partition is completely open because of the floor joists. On the other side of the partition is the back of the chest of drawers opposite the bathroom. The wind and air from the underbelly is free to blow directly into the trailer over the partition, thru the underbelly and thru the chest of drawers. Show less

Awesome floor plan with lots of storage. 150 towable, fold out comfy couch in living room, big pantry, large center island with sink, well built, outside shower, short bed friendly, lots of windows with great natural light, pretty interior color scheme, nice bathroom with lots of towel and other storage, under bed storage, pass through, and furrion oven.
