Upgraded from a Flagstaff Microlite as we wanted something larger with a better floorplan. Found exactly that with this unit. We tow it with a 1/2 ton F-150 with the max tow package and really have very little issues with it other than occasional minor sway in higher winds. KEY to our towing experience was going with a WeighSafe weight distribution hitch system which I consider to be the best one out there. I have tried three other wd towing systems and this one is far superior as this trailer is very heavy; especially in the tongue. Build quality and durability have proven to be outstanding thus far and we are very happy with this travel trailer.

We purchased this 5th Wheel brand new. This review will look at the Flagstaff from the overall quality and secondly one major flaw that's a problem with most RVs. From the perspective of overall quality we are very happy. So many quality features in the construction.... USA made Dexter Axles w/ self adjusting brakes, Magic Chef Stove/range top, 5/8 plywood floor (glued down), stainless steel sinks...... so much more. Now for the big negative... within the first dozen and a half times in and out the Schwintek slide broke on the 7' long kitchen . With such a small slide it was obvious poor quality of the Schwintek design. We replaces it at our own expense of $1,700. Within another 2 dozen times in and out the slide failed again.. Though I contemplated repairing it and selling the 5th wheel, because of the overall quality of the Flagstaff line of RVs, I decided to have the Schwintek system completely replaced with a Vroom Slide System. So sad to see such a very high quality RV incorporate such an absolutely poor quality slide system. Would I buy another Flagstaff ? Because of the overall quality I would probably say yes. However in negotiating the price I would keep in mind the need to immediately replace any Schwintek systems with a Vroom System. Schwintek is common on many brands of RVs. In my opinion it is a weak link in any RV.

I bought my 2007 All American Sport CKTS 3 axle Toy Hauler used in 2009. Towed it 300 miles to the NM Mountains and lived in it for 8 years at 7300 Ft. Perfect for one person and the garage housed my motorcycle securely. The first year NM had a 100 year blizzard and I discovered that toy haulers "in general" are 3 season trailers (not 4 season). The generator was a life saver during power outages. Solution: more insulation in ceiling, in the enclosed bottom, and over the windows; plus added 25K BTU furnace in main living area. I towed it to NM with a small block 1 ton pickup with no issues on the plains but the truck was at its limits on mountain grades. The job finished and we use it to support my families recreational activities. I have towed it 20K miles since then with no issues but I did upgrade my pickup to handle mountain grades better!

It pulls great, you don't even know it is behind you. Everything is in excellent, like new condition. We are getting too old to travel, so we must sell our wonderful RV. We've had 6 RVs total from pull behind camp trailers, to motorhomes and this has been the best ever. My husband has bad vision and we just can't travel anymore. So we need to sell our 5th wheel.

This is a beautiful looking RV.. there is a beautiful piece of crap. We have used it three times the waterlines leak we had it in a repair shop for warranty work that they were supposed to fix and they did not hear I am on vacation with the sink and the shower leaking like a sieve! The drawers that are soft close won’t close because the framework is so cheesy did it will not hold it still in order for it to be closed. Staples are pulling out of the wall where do it so cheese installed. And then let’s not forget right before I took this trip and I’ve had this RV for maybe a year it had to be in the shop because the backsplash had all peeled and fleet in crumbled and had to be replaced.. i’ll be honest I don’t think that you could buy a lower quality built RV I am so extremely disappointed for my money makes me want to spit nails!

I contacted Forest River Customer Service for an issue we have with our camper (2019 Vengeance 348A13) and was advised to email pictures to them. We had a water leak develop in a closet in December of 2021. After checking and recaulking the roof area, outside lights and windows, the leak was still there. We called an RV technician to help identify the problem. After removing the front AC unit, the technician found a tear in roofing membrane and obvious signs of water damage. The area was cleaned, sealed with roofing tape and the AC was reinstalled. At this time, I have spent $258 out of pocket for a repair to something that should have never happened. It is obvious that this tear happened during the manufacturing process. We also have a soft spot on the roof area. I asked Forest River if they could help us with repairing the roof members that were starting to rot and install the roof membrane properly. I was told that our camper was no longer under warranty and that the leak was caused by not maintaining the roof properly. I have applied leveling sealant in all areas that I could reach with a caulking gun. I was also told by Forest River that because I didn’t caulk around the AC, that the leak was my fault. I researched caulking around the AC and couldn’t find very much info. Since the AC has a gasket that is compressed when tightened and access would be impossible without removing the AC, I feel like Forest River was telling me to caulk, just to pass blame on me and not accept the fact that their poor manufacturing process is the root cause for our leak. I will never buy a Forest River product again.

I'm 66 yr old sr. full time RVer. Paid cash for the camper, one week later found truck to tow it, paid cash. This travel trailer has allowed me to spend past 3 years visiting family, friends, and doing select contract positions in 3 different states. The floor plan is perfect. Now: poor quality subflooring is failing under laminate in all 'traffic' points (main entry, at kitchen sink, bathroom area). Spongey! My ext warr won't cover, "not an appliance", my general ins won't cover because there was no "incident". "But wait! There's more!" The POC refrigerator quit working 8 mos ago. Been round and round on this; point of purchase had rig for 4 mos and charged $120 for diagnostic: 'motherboard failure'. Put new one in...it's not the motherboard (have 2 functional here now, anybody in need?). Further testing shows computer strip IN fridge is fried so mother board can't 'talk' to appliance. My ext warr - will only replace/reimburse for that component. Gets better - PROBLEM: model is obsolete, part's not available; this according to manufacturer and my RV repair company here. Neither manufacturer in Indiana nor my warranty give a rodent's rump. I'd like both CEOs to live here in AZ desert without a refrigerator❗ I've written all this so 1) you don't consider buying Flagstaff product, 2) do not buy an extended warranty, 3) fully comprehend theses rvs are not made with quality materials that the manufacturer will stand behind or, referring to my floor, on. Be financially and psychologically ready for this. Friends think I'm "living the dream". Could have been, should have been. Definitively not the case.
