We bought our destination trailer at Camping World in Roseville, Ca. It is July and very hot here. The AC in the kitchen/ living room doesn’t work. We called Camping World and the service person said that “these units only cool 20 degrees cooler than it is outside “. So if it’s 110 outside, the best they do is 90 degrees inside. Thats total BS because the bedroom ac unit is way cooler. Also, they told us if we want it looked at we have to “bring it in”. They should come out as this is a huge unit and it’s parked in the pines. That’s not customer service. We had to go buy a fan while we try to find a mobile RV person to help us.

We purchased a Forest River Sierra 3440BH In June of 2023, New never been used and some areas still had the fresh smell of new. We loved the floor plan, as we have 2 teenagers, and about to have our first grandchild from 1 of our boys, so it certainly will work for sleeping arrangements. Now for the best part, got it home and winterized it as camping season was over for us. We hooked up the propane and kept the tank heaters on and keep the indoor temp at 55 degrees. In March we de-winterized and begin to set things up for camping season. Well we found a lest of 19 items that were warranties' and the list goes on. To start the trim is peeling off the cabinets, screen doors are broke, toilets leaked water, sinks leak, bed trim fell off, black tank valve is stuck shut (can not use read bath room at all due to leaks and toilet/ tank), always smell like sewer, awing is falling off, curtains put on awkward or uneven, NO BRAKES! If i was to guess i would say a bunch of 5 year old put this camper together, unfortunately for us we can not take the camper back for LEMON LAWS as the do not apply. But this thing has to spend at least 2-3 months at the dealership to get repairs done for the warranty to work, all the parts have to come from the dealership. I WOULD NEVER IN THE REST OF MY GRANDCHILDS LIFETIME RECOMMEND THIS BRAND TO ANYONE PERIOD.

2016 Sierra 393RL Destination Trailer-A beautiful unit, lot of window, spacious layout, perfect destination home. Unfortunately the rest of the story is not so nice. We opened our unit in May and immediately noticed the dreaded mold smell. Seems like it was coming from the corner of the front slide. Water runs down the slide onto the exterior edge of the floor which is covered with a plastic which has holes due to UV exposure and traps water inside, poor design. While lifting the carpet in the front section under the couch, her foot stepped through the floor, both sides next to the slides are severely rotted. The water is trapped between the flooring where it can sit forever. This is not visible from the interior or exterior unless you were to take the unit apart. Bad design, will be an extremely expensive repair. Would not purchase a Forest River ever again.

I purchased this used from a couple who used it only a few weeks before they decided to buy something else instead. To start, it looks nice. Then once you start using and noticing things, I realized that the quality is terrible! The slider are missing every other screw and the ones in there are all crooked. The water lines all leak. A small piece of wood that was glued to the solid surface counter feel off from hitting a jar of pickles on the top. not even sure why its there and not a solid piece for the whole top. The tv, fireplace and stereo all have electrical issues. I used the oven for the 1st time and melted one of the knobs The Heating system had to be replaced after a year. More to discover I guess. THIS MODEL is only warrantied for 1 year instead of 3 like other models.

Do not buy this trailer. 3 months after getting it delivered and set up (it is permanently set up on blocks) the heater quit. In order to get it warrantied I would have to pay 500 dollars to get a service man to come out to look at it and then pay another 500 to get them to come back and put in a new one. It cost 450 dollars new, I put it in myself. 8 months after owning it, the roof started leaking. Again, 500 dollars to come look at it and then IF it was warrantied it would be 500 dollars per day to come up and work on it, estimated time, 5 to 8 days (2500-4000) for them to warranty it. I put down Flex seal liquid and sealed it up that way. The roof is touted as walk on, well if your under 100lbs maybe, I am 6'2" 220lbs and the roof always sounds like it is going to cave in when I walk on it. After 1 year you can see ever seam from the boards they used, it is supposed to be fiberglass re-inforced, that must be super thin then because it doesn't do anything. The floor in the living room area sits 3/4" above the cross member support under the floor so when you walk on it the entire area bounces and if you do it on purpose you can bounce things off the counters. I was getting a water leak around the air conditioner, I took it apart and discovered they hadn't tightened the screws down. There is a crush gasket between the trailer roof and the AC unit. You are supposed to tighten it till these taps JUST touch the roof. 3 of the 4 screws were finger tight. Amazed it didn't blow off when they delivered it. 1 year in and the Gel Coat on the outside is wearing through and you can see the fiberglass showing through. The interior trim is all popping loose so it bulges out. 2 of my double pain windows leaked (I fixed that with silicone sealant. The layout and livability is really nice as I live in this trailer full time. There is lots of roof and it doesn't feel like a tiny RV. Just wish they paid a LOT more attention to details and actually warrantied their stuff in a manner that didn't cost more than just getting it fixed yourself

Also, have to go through Couches for the Warranty and it has been like pulling teeth to get the repairs taken care of (remember we can't tow it, because NO ELECTRIC to connect to truck so brakes lights don't work on- illegal to tow)...FOREST RIVER FOR GOD'S SAKE HELP!!!

Our family of 3 lived in our Forest River Sierra 3440BH for a little over a year. We brought it many places while traveling across the country. We set up our daughter in the rear bedroom with a crib and then later a toddler bed after we removed the factory queen bed. The rear bedroom has a top bunk which we used for storage. We felt like we had lots of room and loved the island in the kitchen when we were cooking. We added a countertop extension which added lots of room when cooking. Overall, we loved this camper and it was great to travel with and also live in full time.
